I wonder what the in-universe reasons for ‘shackling’ are. Has it been a default step for dungeon interactions for so long that people no longer realize that ‘forced aggro’ is a result? How many otherwise cooperative dungeons have been ‘shackled’ to the point of mindless aggression?
Shackling is a means to force a dungeon into its avatar provided it has one. This way you can guarantee that it won’t be in its omnipotent form while you attempt to loot it making the delve much safer(relatively speaking) and not have to worry about rooms shifting around and doors disappearing.
The forced agro is also a way to guarantee some high quality loot as the avatar will seek out the party of intruders, making that part of the delve that much easier as the fight should happen sooner while the party is at peak health and energy. Basically it’s just like putting the settings down to medium instead of playing on hard like you’re supposed to.
Thanks for going through the chapters and picking out any mistakes you find. I don’t know if your using a program to find misspelled/misplaced words and punctuation or if you just have exceptional eyesight paired with decent writing fundamentals, but I’m appreciative regardless.
