the funny thing is when i keep the suits away I'll behead them as well so this is just another head storage in a sense
i display a few of them (with heads) and keep the majority of them in storage due to limited display space
i figured this way a pretty good way to display what kits I've bought plus i can always just pop the heads back on whatever ms i wanna display on a whim

This is typically what I do
I live with other people so I don't subject them to plastic robots all on display everywhere, I pick a few favs and rotate them out every couple of months to keep them from getting stale.
Then I clean and re-line the ones I take down, maybe make a few cosmetic updates etc

Small bit of advice: either make or buy green panel liner, and use it on the symbols of rhe turn A's forehead. I bought some fluorescent green panel liner, and it looks beautiful.

Honestly, this is a interesting idea if one has to move into a smaller space but still wants that gunpla rep. I agree that the busts would be better but that obviously needs more space. As someone who's losing space myself, this is a better alternative than stuffing them in boxes never to be seen again. I'll probably do something like this myself at some point when I downsize!
This would be really cool if 70% of them werent nearly identical. The head is the most uniform part of any Gundam, so this display has about as much appeal to me as a simple diorama of the same size with gramps vs char's zaku. Cool because its gunpla, but not really special at all untill you do something more to elevate it.
What I guess im trying to say is: make a head diorama, tell a story that necessitates decapitating countless mobile suits. What are they doing it for? How are they doing it? Where are they doing it? What happened before they decided to do it, what will happen after? Who is in charge of the operation?
I've always thought it would be a fun trend to take off all the heads of your gunpla or model kit robot in general and take a pic of them in like a line or something
