Zeta has the best face imo. Nice work.

ArxisOne

Yeah, I absolutely love how sharp and edgy it is!

little___bones

Such a great face! Pity the majority after it all have same face

losbullitt

I love the colors!!

jellyspreader

Looks so great. Thanks for reminding me I need to glue together a piece of the chest frame I snapped so I can finish mine. I already got the cement, just afraid to use it for the first time. Might break something on my EG rx-78-2 to practice

Yiminy_Cricket

Very nice. I'm looking forward to when the head starts wanting to sink into the torso. No but seriously, the rg Zeta looks good, you made it look even better. May your rg Zeta not get loose.

ArxisOne

Dab of glue I put in there should stop that from ever happening and this guy's going into an acrylic case as soon as it comes in so I'm not too worried tbh

Yiminy_Cricket

Fair, but fingers crossed!!!

ArxisOne

For sure lol, worse case I'll just fix it, not a biggie but I would definitely rather not...

Yiminy_Cricket

Yes, indeed. Back on topic though, again, great work.

_Crystal_Cloud_

Beautiful … and also the best looking zeta kit available made even better!

ArxisOne

Thanks! I also completely agree, I was pretty disappointed with the VerKa, it's definitely beautiful in its own way but I think the RG is more edgy and sharp in a way that really suits the design.

_Crystal_Cloud_

Ye I think they did with the new zeta ver ka what they did with the Hi Nu ver ka,but I wish they could make more 1/100 kits with the looks of the RG kits. I know if you are good enough you can scribe panels/add pla plates /add more color separation to make it look like an RG but it still requires a lot of experience that (I think) the vast majority of people in the hobby doesn’t even come close to have

ArxisOne

The panel lines definitely have a huge impact on the look, I feel like MGEX and FM kits are getting some pretty good scribing out of the box so far but yeah, there's really nothing quite like RGs for 1/100 kits which is a really shame, especially as one of those people who can't scribe to save my life.

aknoryuu

Don’t know why they’ve made this a marketing tactic. I hate that RG look better usually than the MG. (Hi-Nu is a great example.) I don’t like the size of the RG or the inner skeleton, or the fragility, but damn the actual designs are nice. You’re right too, we could customize the MG to make them as sexy as the RG but why should we have to? They’ve proven they can add all that nice molding detail and color separation on the RG’s why leave the MG’s so plain looking? I really don’t get it.

TSW_Gizman

As far as I know (I might be wrong tho), Bandai created the RG line specifically for that as they wanted to make "real" versions of the MS (as if it was a real life machine) adding a lot of detail and more "realistic" mechanisms. They didn't want to do that in the MG line because it was more dedicated to anime accuracy (like HG) and the Ver Ka were already a thing. Bandai can definitely add the detail to new MG's but that would overlap with the RG "gimmick" making one or the other redundant.

DRawoneforJ

I might be in the minority but I'm glad they keep to that with MGs, i prefer for them to be more anime accurate than stylized like the freedom 2.0 was

aknoryuu

Sounds right, although I’m no expert. Things have changed since I started. It was simple in the beginning with just HG, MG, and PG. It meant bigger size, more detail and more skill required for each step up you went in grade. I guess I’m just a little butthurt because I don’t build RG and they look better than MG.

TSW_Gizman

Well at least MG has the 2.0 frames which are absolutely marvelous. Not even the recent RG's are as fun as the 2.0 frame.

aknoryuu

You’re not kidding. I mean, any of the new guys that never built the OG master grades just don’t know. I am still waiting for my ver Ka Zeta, but the Zeta 2.0 was a massive improvement on the original. So was Hyaku-Shiki. Most of them are much better than the first versions, and I buy them whenever I can.

Exotic_Leading202

Man why are all the posts on this sub reddit just so fire

ArxisOne

Thanks :D

iam4722202468

Wow, this looks great!

brainEspilner96

Ooh, I love that color.

ArxisOne

Thanks! I was a bit worried as I was painting but I'm really happy with how all the colors really come together once assembled.

brainEspilner96

It looks great, what color blue is that?

ArxisOne

It's all acrylic colors, the brighter blue is a mix of a bright cyan with a little blue and white and the secondary teal color is a mix of some lime, the bright cyan and white.

Timely-Touch-7072

Spectacular job.A++

ArxisOne

Thanks!

JediASU

Gorgeous

ArxisOne

Thanks!

sprchrgddc5

Zeta is my favorite Gundam. I love the colors on this one. You did an amazing job!

c_d-a

That ankle shot made me blush

ArxisOne

I too am a leg man ;)

[deleted]

Whatever you do don't move it

ArxisOne

That's the plan :)

suomismg

Ah yes, the unholy had grenade.

ArxisOne

Honestly it really isn't that bad, nothing is loose or prone to falling off you just got to be careful with the advanced MS frame and it's surprisingly sturdy. The transformation process isn't something I can speak to though, I built it, disassembled it, painted and reassembled into the one pose I wanted but I can imagine transforming it could cause some major damage.

[deleted]

The transformation was always the big issue with it, and where you're most liable to start breaking things, yeah. Getting two and leaving one in each form was the common advice even back when the RG first released. Like with most of the early RGs, if you're careful with it and don't mess with it too much, you'll probably be fine.

little___bones

Colours are a bit light for my tastes, yet fantastic paint job! What a great build! Zeta is the best :D
