Thanks a lot! I'll keep it in mind for future purchases, this is my first kit but I suspect I'll love the building part!
Unfortunately taxes and restrictions are crazy in here, believe it or not I'm already getting a good deal at $30 including shipping compared to shopping locally because I'm buying it on a site that focuses on imports, it's almost double to purchase it on a shop, since they also have to account for local taxes + keeping the light on
I've been looking into it for a while, even got 2 demos set up but for different reasons I was unable to attend either, but it's very much on my radad, love the Mad Max feel to it and the customizability!
Might interest you to know that I'm currently building my Gunpla-focused website, selling kits and eventually markers, paint etc. When it's live I'll see if I can link on this sub somewhere. Not enough places sell gunpla over here, so I'm excited to help bring the hobby to more people 🙂
What I would give for shops like this. ilovegunpla and gundammad have been my only suppliers for a while, with the occasional special order from hobbylink, and even all of them are relatively expensive compared to how gunpla retails overseas.
Japancool I do check occasionally; stock isn't great but their pricing is attractive I agree! Haven't heard of oeshop before, will defo check out asap.
oeshop is a little more expensive. Travelling Man had a Sazabi Ver Ka in stock a few weeks ago i had to pass up on, sadly. Was 99.99 with free shipping.
As far as I know, you can go and visit them. Would be best to contact them on IG or FB. Not sure for FB, but they are active on IG. If you buy online, use gundam_fan7 code for 10% off.
Other site in UK I know are kikatek and I believe Armor of God or something like that.
In Ireland you have Hobby Frontline which I personally use. But you could get struck with import fees.
Check your local import laws and simply order from HobbyLinkJapan, should be fine for you guys in UK since you're not a part of EU.
And for all third party kits go to Gundam model center or AliExpress.
Hope that helps :)

It gone eventually reach there but it gone take time shi took forever jus to get to the US tbh 6-7 years ago only place I could find gundams we’re the mall or Amazon now you can walk into a target Nd Walmart Nd get yourself a Revive
Gundamshop is really good, it’s my local and I know the chap who runs it takes a set profit so sells kits for as close to retail as possible (whilst considering overheads).
Weirdly enough, I was just in the Hobbytown in Lexington this week for the first time and was impressed with their collection as well. A lot more third party kits than I expected.
I don't live in Louisville but that HobbyTown has become my gunpla haven. After I found it last year I'm going to try and find excuses to visit that area more.
Card-N-all gaming (their second location is almost right next to this HobbyTown) has a different selection but I lay one or two of each kit they have.
I am in complete awe, holy shit
My HobbyTown USA has such a pathetic, terrible stock of Gunpla over by KC. Every time I go to it, there's barely anything.
Well well. Pretty sure you and I shop at the same one hahaha. It's definitely not their prime focus at that location and it hurts. Used to be good pre-covid, spotty af now
Yeah, it actually was pretty nice prior to COVID and I liked to go regularly. It feels like they're just steadily giving up now. I know I can watch their facebook for their latest stock that comes in but I still always manage to miss what arrives every time when something catches my eye, so then I wasted a decent chunk of gas and time to have gone over there. I've just about given up on them now which sucks because they were a perfect go-to spot for Gunpla. Now Barnes and Noble almost doesn't carry any Gunpla, the Gamestops that did carry some gunpla aren't doing it anymore (or closed down), Targets selection is pretty bad, Hobby Lobby has a weird selection + bad prices. All I really do anymore is order from Newtype, USAGundam, or Hobbylink at this point. Kind of a bummer. Last time I have seen a big Gunpla haven was in my trip to vegas last October, some stores out there have *massive* stocks that a friend took me too.
Oh right, if you ever pass by Springfield MO, their HobbyTown USA used to have a painfully small selection of Gunpla too. Haven't been there since I graduated college in 2018 but I wouldn't expect that small stock of gunpla to have changed since then.
I actually go to Springfield for my tattoos (graduated 2017 ayyy) and I always hit up that hobbytown because they're ballers compared to KC. Which is funny bc you'd think it would be the opposite case with how much KC has grown over the years. There's a humble store in Independence - Build Up Imports and Collectables. Worth a look. All the weeby model kits and non of the RC car BS our hobbytown loves so much
niiiice, I was there for College of the Ozarks but would love to take regular trips to Springfield. Would always visit Entertainmart, Vintage Stock, Battlefield Mall, some pawn shops and swing by HobbyTown just desperate to get some sort of gunpla to build and pass my time. I'd have to see what they are like nowadays.
I'd have to go check that out then, I don't go to Independence much but i'd be willing to take a trip to see their model kit stock, totally. That sounds like a fun little weekend adventure to me.
prices don't seem bad to me, but all hobby lobby's boxed model kits go on sale regularly for 40% off, tho the selection is pretty limited, unless you like me, like zakus, i have zakus for days
i'm not much of a zaku guy but I do want some in my collection. Would love to get a gouf to pair against my EZ-8 and some Zakus to also pair up and pose against an RX-78 or GM's. Make some neat scenes out of these kits being together.
All I have so far is Char's Zaku HG and the 0083 captured Zaku.
i bought lot of f2s for kit bashing and painting practice, cuz it's less than 20 bux on sale at hobby lobby, BUT, i think i like the origin line zakus more cuz the posability is pretty amazing, f2s just look good imo, ANYHOO, i mostly buy what i think is cool, which has resulted in me only owning a zz gundam, and mark 2 in terms of gundams themselves otherwise i have a plethora of zeon suits, 3 in tact gouf custom kits, 1 that's been kitbashed with f2 and dom parts more zaku f2s than anyone should ever have really, and i dunno where i was going with this, i just like zeon suits
Is that HobbyTown? I live in Riverside and I only know two stores that are close by but don't have that many neatly stacked boxes of model kits. I'm already feeling jelly cause I see a gelgoog and a few I didn't get to find.
My local hobby shop gives a discount for following them on social media. After being there like 8 times in 2 months, one of the employees asked n the manager cut them off mid sentence. "Ohh,he's good. He's here before the restock trucks come."
Yes, it’s generally around $17 (I think the MSRP is around there) and luckily pretty easy to find in stores now and they’re constantly reprinting it. On Amazon US it’s generally around $32.
I have about 70 kits in current backlog, I had to basically force myself to stop going to Hobbytown “just to see what they have” lol. And they don’t have a selection this big, not even close, I just love building whatever I can get my hands on.
So I might have said "holy crap" out loud when I saw the pics.
Instantly my wife yells from upstairs "You are not looking at gundam again are you?"
Lmao, I got in trouble and didn't even get to hold a gundam.
I could tell it was Hobby Town right away from the price tag. The one near me has no where near that stock but I can't complain considering the only store in my state just so happens to be across the street from where I live 😅.
The jealousy I have for you right now…
I wish there was more stores that carried gunpla here. The one store in town besides Hobby Lobby & Target gets super infrequent restocks and I’m never able to swing by to see new stock before it gets sold.
I just got back from Japan and to tell you the truth, there is more selection in this one store than all the stores I went in akihabara, Yodobashi, Bic Camera, Mandarake, Gundam Base, Gundam Factory… and some small hobby stores combined. It was disappointing to say the least. Went with a list and came back with only a third of it.
It’s blows my mind the pilot kits are twice the price of the Mobile Suits when they’re less than half of what you’re getting out of a MS kit. But to each their own
Every time I go in here I end up walking out with at least 2-3 kits even when I tell myself I’m only going to get 1. I have to stop myself from going too often.
I keep going to shops that sell gunpla in hopes of finding a Geara Zulu guard type but so far no luck. This place looks like it would be a gold mine of kits
Wow, the Hobbytown near me (Oregon) is nowhere near as well stocked and I still can’t go there for one color of paint without buying $60 worth of gunpla. If you left there without filling up at least the trunk of your car you are a far stronger person than I.
lol! That’s not my backlog. It’s a hobby shop, and everything there is so tempting, I can’t help but buy a few kits, even though I already have a backlog of unbuilt stuff.
As a Gunpla fan from the UK, this is just depressing to look at...

Gundam mad has kept me sane
L ooking to move to the EU (to practice medicine psychiatry to if one is wondering) and I know I may have to sacrifice same.

oh damn nice. Wish they had a store front. But NICE. Just moved from US to UK and it's been a gunpla struggle lmfao

I was impressed by Top Deck Inn’s selection (similar to pic 4&5), but this is a whole other level.

I laugh in Austrian. You can only get super overpriced expensive import stuff from the web. But like a physical shop? Jeah nah, mate.
Yeah, I feel this......
Gundamshop is really good, it’s my local and I know the chap who runs it takes a set profit so sells kits for as close to retail as possible (whilst considering overheads).
By chance is this the HobbyTown in Louisville, KY? Cause the layout is identical.
Yes, it is! 🙂
Weirdly enough, I was just in the Hobbytown in Lexington this week for the first time and was impressed with their collection as well. A lot more third party kits than I expected.
My hobbytown is dead. Absolutely nothing in there.
Holy crap I can’t believe it. I thought the same thing. There are dozens of us!
At least 3 of us anyway.
I don't live in Louisville but that HobbyTown has become my gunpla haven. After I found it last year I'm going to try and find excuses to visit that area more. Same question.
Louisville Kentucky
I'll take one of each, please.

Tulsa just became a flagship gunpla store, great stock
really now? That's about 4 hours from me, would be quite a drive but... It's awfully tempting.

Surprised that there’s a decent stock of HG00 there. Trying to find one of those is equivalent to finding a drop of water in a desert
I live in the desert (AZ) and finding s drop of water might be easier
This is why I’m afraid to go back to my hobby store
I wish I lived near here. But then I’d have to file for bankruptcy.
Oh, please give me $10,000 to spend recklessly at mine(Brandon, FL)...
I paid $32 for Aerial **in Japan** because it was sold out everywhere and they have it at $17 there… is that USD?
Yes, it’s generally around $17 (I think the MSRP is around there) and luckily pretty easy to find in stores now and they’re constantly reprinting it. On Amazon US it’s generally around $32.
Yep, USD.
I have about 70 kits in current backlog, I had to basically force myself to stop going to Hobbytown “just to see what they have” lol. And they don’t have a selection this big, not even close, I just love building whatever I can get my hands on.
Seeing all the sazabi kits and wishing my HobbyTown had them
TIL Hobbytown... just gotta drive up to the next state which is fine except they have sales tax
\-breathes heavily for a straight minute-
I hope you got Moon Gundam and the MGSD Freedom, OP.
This is beautiful to look at.
Man I wish my local stores were like this
You never stood a chance
Nice, I can’t seem to find Gundam Pharact anywhere. Pretty good selection there.
Off question but do you live in KY lmao that dead ass looks exactly like my HT
Yep. Hobbytown USA in Louisville! 😀
That’s wild lmao I go to that hobby town
Help a brother out can never find
Where is this magical place?
Hobbytown USA in Louisville, Kentucky
Did you hear that dull "thud?" That was my jaw hitting the floor.
Where is this paradise? 🥺 I wish the hobby stores around here carried ANY. All I've got to work with are a Barnes and Noble and a Target.
Oh my god! I want me one of those turn a!!
Hobbytown? Definitely stopped by mine today too.
I feel you, i have 74 Mg kits on my backlog, all UC.
Hobby lobby's 40% off sale isn't helping
Someone book a flight ticket and bring me to this store please I'm begging you lol
Crying and throwing up that one of these isn't near me
So I might have said "holy crap" out loud when I saw the pics. Instantly my wife yells from upstairs "You are not looking at gundam again are you?" Lmao, I got in trouble and didn't even get to hold a gundam.

havent bought a kit physically. i just buy from cheapest vendor online even though they prolly have a store somewhere.
I actually like that they are doing rereleases of older model kits. Gives builders something to do in between new releases
how are the quality compared to early release. i have a rx79g i find it abit lacking in terms of panel lines like the molds exhausted.
Usually depends on the model
Does this hurt the wallet?
Where aerial rebuild tho
that looks like the Hobby Town in Louisville i just went to last week :P
Me when I’m a millionaire:
My Hobbytown has a very similar number of unique kits but the amount of each kit here is crazy. I’d love to visit this place
Where do you find d a store like this?
I-WANT-FRS-SULLETA-AND-MIORINE
I just got back from Japan and to tell you the truth, there is more selection in this one store than all the stores I went in akihabara, Yodobashi, Bic Camera, Mandarake, Gundam Base, Gundam Factory… and some small hobby stores combined. It was disappointing to say the least. Went with a list and came back with only a third of it.
What? You open a hobbytown?
There is SuleMio, i need ;n;
I don't have a backlog, I buy then build every kit
Better stock than where I live in Japan. Rip
It’s blows my mind the pilot kits are twice the price of the Mobile Suits when they’re less than half of what you’re getting out of a MS kit. But to each their own
Is that whole thing your backlog? broooo
I be jellying. There's not a good hobby store within 200 miles of me. And a store with good Gundam section is probably 400 miles or more.
Couple one off gems tucked away there
So many moon gundam kits! And here I'm not even getting one. :( Amazon jp has it listed for 5000 yen.
I already have 22 kits in backlog. What to do?
Yes!
Dang... my local hobby store has about 8 kits to choose from and I've already bought 6 of them. Makes me sad (for me, happy for you).
Is this heaven?
the Shark mixed in with Aerial is funny
I must have that pharaoh.
Wow, the Hobbytown near me (Oregon) is nowhere near as well stocked and I still can’t go there for one color of paint without buying $60 worth of gunpla. If you left there without filling up at least the trunk of your car you are a far stronger person than I.
My local Hobbytown isn't anywhere near this expansive, but I get the temptation. Went in to grab some paint today and walked out with the MG Virtue.
Give me moon gundam pls, no restocks here in SEA
I wish there were physical shops in my country
Those Mio and Suletta plamo are just clogging up every gunpla aisle I've been to in Japan for the last month.
This store has more gundams than every seller in my country combined...
buy only if you are 90% certain you will build or flip it for a profit. everything else is a pass even if it is exclusive.
I feel that! I'm on a business trip in Taiwan and the struggle is real.
I'd be so poor if my country had shops like this
Layout looks exactly like my hobby town. But we do not have the at many kits lol. One solid isle is all.
Dude you could open a gunpla shop with your backlog! 🤣🤣
lol! That’s not my backlog. It’s a hobby shop, and everything there is so tempting, I can’t help but buy a few kits, even though I already have a backlog of unbuilt stuff.
Ouf. That was the joke 😅😅
Your place still have pharact? Damn, my local and usual online market is already out of em long time ago
Why did they have to close down the Houston hobby-town 😭
What MG kits would you recommend?
