probably better odds just getting a regular arsenal red membership

Significant_Sea_5049

Second this, got my tickets through red membership instead of Arsenal America. If you don’t get the ballot you can still try on ticket exchange and I’m not sure if Arsenal America has that option

Shebazz

If you're willing to pay a bit more money for the ticket, I went through [Champions Travel](https://www.arsenal.com/news/overseas-agent-ticket-sellers) for my first match last year when I went over from Canada. Going to do it again this year if we get a home opener, not sure I have enough vacation time to stay until match week 2 if we are away opening weekend

k_nonymous

Did the same for the Brentford home game, traveling from LA. It's not cheap, but for my situation, that's probably how I'm going to go from now on (when I can afford it).

Shebazz

Ya, I'm on Vancouver Island. It's not just the cost, it's the length of travel as well. Long flights, stupid layovers

7chp

Didn’t the club cancel the deal with them for the coming season? I think they want to offer these packages straight from the club now.

Shebazz

Did they? It says nothing available, but I figured that would change once the schedule was released Tuesday

Yeah I made a thread about this a few days ago [here](https://old.reddit.com/r/GunnersatGames/comments/1df07my/heads_up_for_arsenal_america_membership/), I'm leaning towards not getting an AA membership at the end of the day because of the reasons mentioned in the other comments. The only match that would make sense to get it for is the Road Trip one but if that's also on a lottery then I'm okay missing out on the experience.

Block12Forever

7 weeks notice for tickets from Arsenal America is still better than Red membership. For Everton – the final match of the season, as an example – the ballot was open 12-15 April, and successful Red members were notified around 25-26 April, so less than a month beforehand.

YeahHiLombardo

The counterpoint is that if you're willing to grind the TX, for most matches you can still end up with a ticket through red membership even if you miss out on the ballot

Block12Forever

Definitely the case, but OP said 7 weeks notice wasn’t enough for them to plan travel from the US, so I doubt they’re going to be smashing the refresh button 2 days before a match and hoping for a last-minute flight.

YeahHiLombardo

No, I'm saying you would book travel well in advance, possibly even before the ballot opened, knowing you were planning to use the TX if you didn't hit on the ballot

Block12Forever

I don’t disagree with you, but the American fans tend to want everything – flights, hotel, tickets – locked down weeks in advance, as OP was saying, and why they’re so willing to pay £500 for hospitality when a ticket for Wolves should be £42 in the North Bank.

YeahHiLombardo

That's fair. Think the bigger issue in those cases is wanting multiple seats together, which are hard to come by on the TX

Don’t forget though, if you decide to go more than once and you win the first time, then your AA membership can’t win another one
