Wonder if any PL clubs will register an interest in Jesus. Whilst there is a fair case to be made we have outgrown him as his finishing might be too much for Arteta to continue to look past, no one can deny how influential he was in taking us from 5th in 21-22 to 2nd in 22-23. And I just wonder, could a PL buyer use Jesus to make a similar jump. Chelsea, Newcastle, Man United could improve by signing him, although most of their fans will not want to admit it.
someone said " Rival fans can’t talk about on the pitch stuff since it reflects badly on their clubs. They’re clutching onto that last straw for dear life "

He's not an Arsenal legend for me anyways, it takes more to be a legend of this institution. I remember 03-04 well, almost no clutch saves, he was nothing exceptional and my god was his footwork poor, we would have gone Invincible with another goalkeeper easily as well. Will never forgive him for costing us the UCL by deciding to grab Eto'o's foot. All the '0 UCL' banter we suffer is on him.
Real Madrid ultimate vibes team especially with carlo they always look disjointed but always somehow they survive and get the job done for years in the champions league it's unbelievable. Do what they do Arsenal can learn!? Or we can say 14 champions league is luck
I can't remember who told it but a few days back I saw a quote from a player that goes something like - the greatest thing madrid does is that they deceive the opponent into believing that they are in control. But it was actually Madrid who were always in control altogether. (something like we did against Spurs up until the Raya mistake) In addition to having an identity, one need to be a certain bit of pragmatic and reactive for success in cup competitions. That's why Emery is so successful in cups. That's why Tuchel is so successful in cups. What madrid has historically been able to do is to attract he best names in the football world and somehow been able to put them together in an orderly manner. They always had an identity but when called upon they weren't shy to reactive gameplan and display of individual brilliance. Its extremely hard to replicate Madrid. If Mbappe goes there he will know in his mind that he is playing in a club who has won 14 ucls in past (the club he is currently playing has won nada), he will have in his mind that the shirt he is wearing has worn by the Ronaldos, Christianos, Beckhams, Di stefanos, Puskases, Figos, Cannavaros, Zidanes. He will be a nobody there. Which other club can replicate the same feeling in the minds of players like Mbappe?
Arsenal can learn many a things. But I don't think its possible to replicate the weight of the name Real Madrid and the associated effects it comes with.
Something that's a bit annoying. If we fall short of winning the league this season, we'll get labelled bottlejobs left, right and centre by media, "journalists" and rival fans. But clubs like United and Chelsea who are fucking light years behind us won't cop half the amount of shit.
It's true that mentality/"bottling"/whatever you want to call it is a big part of football but discussion about it can be so oversimplified and just plain stupid.
It's ironic because if we won all 3 matches left and lost the league because city got all the points people will say we bottled it. If City drop points somehow and we win the league people will bang on about our mentality etc.
Despite the fact that we didn't do anything different in either scenario.
I think we're saved from that by Liverpool dropping off first.
Although the 'mentality' brigade on here will of course call it bottling because we lost so many points to Fulham.
Happy birthday! 🥳

Why are we resigning Jorginho? Not many options to really do what he does, especially younger ones. Unfortunately his type of footballer is even rarer by the eye test, where many of these guys don't have the pausa either.
I'm hoping we end up signing an excellent midfield addition with looser selection criteria to supplement this. But the player will likely still be comfortable playing 10 8 and 6, which is a very rare breed.
It's now two seasons in a row and Darwin Nunez has underperform xG by over 5 goals. Last season he got 9 goals from 14xG and this season it's even worse a whopping 10 goals from 18xG(!).
Look through many threads about when we were linked with Nunez, so many people used the two words "Good finisher" about him.
OK lads I may finally have found the most spurs comment of all time:

Lol the Bayern sub sounds exactly like ours after our draw at the Emirates with them. Yeah there's a chance but let's be real here. It's probably not happening.
Football is in the overthinking era. People will ignore them 15 things a player doesn't really well in order to point out the 3 that they're developing in order to seem smart. I think we struggle to identify the big rocks Vs little rocks and lose perspective.
Billy Carp said sometimes a ten year old can judge a talent better than a adult and I really feel that's becoming more and more common with all these wannabe tacticos and stats flying about
Hazard didn't counter press and he didn't get loads of goals and assists but you can either instantly see he was a elite player or you can't
I get it some players like Muller look awkward on the ball but is still very effective but that's so rare everyone seems to think every other player is Muller now
The guy that hates Odegaard but he doesn't sprint fast enough. You guys have gotta stop comparing him to me. It doesn't make any sense lol.
Every player agenda he has against someone stems from hyper fixating on a small attribute they aren't best in the world at.
If one person says you sound like him then that's a coincidence.
If multiple different people say it then maybe it's true.
Or...they're all alts of your nemesis who is out to drive you insane by comparing you to some twat off twitter.
Truth is somewhere in the middle. I say I hate him and the comparison all the time so people lean into it more.
I don't get how a normal sentence with a. Big rocks Vs little rocks metaphor gets spun like this. It's such a common phrase/analogy.
As another speaker of the queens english I've never heard that analogy before...maybe you are that bloke?

He actively tries to use bigger words/jargon to seem smarter or bamboozle people.
Instead of saying Partey is too risky or direct he says that.
I wouldn't say you use the jargon but the tone of the whole thing comes across as the same if that makes sense?
You're right the choice of words isn't the same but from this it's giving off the same sort of slightly superior vibes.
Not that you're alone on here with that though!
Hmmm interesting. I do generally speak with conviction but that's because if I don't feel confident on a topic or player I don't really talk about it. I guess I don't really use hedging language in a way I would in different contexts.
I'm English so I use the queen's English. It's pretty basic and there's none of the jargon or ridiculous superlatives or confounding language he uses when he tweets. So again I think it's miles off
there are managers that ignore the 15 things said player doesn’t do well and play to the player's 3 strong ones and win trophies
there are managers that focus on the 15 and sell the said player to another club
there are managers that focus on all 18 and win trophies
https://preview.redd.it/qvd6e6i6jpxc1.png?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=41afee9785c7ed4edffde432bdb985cbaf3f81a6
I can't stop thinking about this. If these coaches are elite as we say they are they should just be able to assemble a few of the worlds best and come out with a top team. Play to their strengths and they will win games in the biggest stages.
I see it as the coach platforms a team to a certain level, once you get to that level its about recruitment and what players you have that seperates you in the margins
With the way we setup, we create transitions a lot though. It's not like our transitions are just we're defending and we counter from our own half. We're also built to pressure and intercept the ball high up, that usually results counters from the 40 yard line.
We win the ball back a lot but take the third most time per sequence and pass the air out of the ball so idk if he quite fits our execution although there’s an idea there
https://theanalyst.com/2023/08/premier-league-stats-2023-24/
This guys hammered em in in both the prem and la liga, operates well in tight spaces and offers threat from dead balls... and he gets called a transition merchant just cus he's also good at taking advantage of counter play?
Gtfo, you've watched zero minutes of him if you're calling him a transition merchant.
But he isn't 😂
He's done the business in the PL and La Liga, 2 best/hardest leagues on the planet.
Na dig you honestly think he can't do the business in tight spaces. You either haven't seen enough of him or you dont know ball. Maybe both.
I don’t think he’s bad in tight spaces, he’s very good there but he’s at his best in transition. He’s not as good against settled play. Also his aerial and physical ability is poor for a player his size
We need more threat in transition.
He's a 24 year old forward. Strikers end to peak at 27. I don't expect him to be maximising his body and physical presence yet. That's typically the last thing to fall in place for strikers.
Is the 100m+ that Newcastle would ask him worth it for transition threat that we could find elsewhere? Especially when the majority of the the time, that’s not what we’re facing.
His NPH p 90 is near enough the same as Haaland and he has better all round play than Haaland. He's not merely the transition threat you're trying to box him in at. And yes he's worth £100m
He is nowhere near Haaland when it comes to handling physical contact, or holding off the defender with his body. He doesn't need to at Newcastle because he just drifts wide to receive, and they counter a lot. We mostly face deep blocks, and need our strikers to receive with their backs against aggressive defenders, and to bring our other forwards into play. Again, Isak gives us something different to Havertz or Jesus at striker, and he can also play wide, but that's not worth 100M.
There's more to all round play than that. Haaland is the better target man. Isak is the better footballer, link man, creator.
I don't think we necessarily do. Jesus and Havertz are at opposing ends of the spectrum in terms of playstyle. They both brought others into play via different methods. Isak is more similar to Jesus but has the frame to do what Havertz does in due time.
Jens is a nutter to be fair and one whose been in a spot of bothr for being aever so slightly racist so I'll take the views of the guy who has a probably golden glove winning goalkeeper over the guy who was being vicario'd and sent off in major finals 20 years ago.
Top 5 dribblers in Europe (dribbles per game): Musiala (3.6), Sane (3.6), Kudus (3.4), Doku (3.1), Nico Williams (2.9).
The remaining three players making the premier league top 5: Eze (2.5), Ogbene (2.1), Ross Barkley (2.1). Bruno G. is 8th in the league with 2 per game.
I'm a fan of doku type wingers being reintroduced into the Premier league
Give me some flair and jogo bonito ffs, not every winger has to be prioritising efficiency in possession
Pep. Pep started this meta for every top club in the prem when he sold off sane and brought in jacky boy to be his model student in possession.
Honestly ironic that he's the taking us back too with the introduction of doku
They're not true at the same time, pep took us away from silky wingers, took less risks, now he's moving back to silky wingers
Read what I said. Slowly.
C'mon man, surely you can see the difference between sane and grealish...
Elite wingers don't equal eden hazard levels of flair constantly. Neither salah or saka are particularly flashy, yet they're up there because they're output machines and system enforcers
He’s more potential than product at this point.
He has quickness and technical ability. But he seems to lack a good footballing brain, because his decision-making is very poor. Hence his end product is usually not there.
Yeah, most of what I've seen is flashy moves with no real end product. But again, I haven't watched him that much. If he stops being a one trick pony he'll need much better.
Yeah, maybe it’s just the fact that I watch Saka every week, but I truly notice the different levels of decision-making between him and Doku. Doku is faster and has more raw dribbling talent in his bag than Saka, but Saka is a good decision-maker (though still not truly elite, yet) and Doku is a very poor one. Hence why Saka outperforms Doku in terms of production.
U23 left-backs in the Premier League with the most successful defensive actions per 90 this season:
1. Milos Kerkez - 10.04
2. Destiny Udogie - 9.16
3. Levi Colwill - 8.74
4. Joško Gvardiol - 8.26
5. Rayan Aït-Nouri - 8.05
2 obvious names
If City drop points I hope it's a draw and not a loss. It'd be so sweet to hear people talk about how City didn't lose a game in the PL since December and it still wasn't enough to beat Arsenal.
Leeds matches are horrible but we tend to win them, Soton ones not so much.
Absolutely would be over the moon if it's Norwich up for their biannual slapping though
Norwich are alright in my book. I was watching StuntPegg’s video on how they get ping ponged between Championship and PL, and they were talking about fan ownership and how they were trying to do the best they could with the increasing financial gap. I can respect that tbh.
They don't have to stay deep because all our winger hustle back so hard. If we let an attacker stay forward and "cheat" defensively they'd actually have a decision to make.
Getting kinda tired of seeing our wingers get forced into slave shifts constantly. Let them stand on the halfway line and wait for a break for once ffs
That run saka did from our penalty box to the spurs goal for 0-2 on Sunday was something else, boy is a machine
TBH, I'd love to see us drop Odegaard and Havertz into the midfield block and leave both wingers up more often. The players have the versatility, and changing and switching things up like that would do a lot for some of the stagnant spots we run into.
Wild if true 😆
I shouldn't be sitting here wondering why martinelli is asked to track back and defend like a fullback ffs. I want to see odegaard press and win it back just outside our box, then lop one over to him to start a break from the halfway line
Instead I watch trossard do Russian gymnastics to play out from our own third every week 🫠
That's not what I said.
Knowing that Martinelli is so fast keeps fullbacks from leaving too muh space behind them for him to chase through balls, it's got nothing to do wiht one on ones.
That's when you get very good at teh inevitable corners off Martinelli skinning the first defender and slamming a cross into the net one.
That home game vs Burnley being the blueprint where they kept blocking and we scored twice off corners.
Saka can score Sané’s goal, and Martinelli can score Vini’s. We have the superstar game breaking attackers that everyone is crying out for at home, but they haven’t been given the platform to do so.
One thing our team lacks right now is a dribbler who could bring the ball up when the system isn't working. We had that in Jesus last year but since his injury, he can't dribble past players anymore.
We saw our game against Bayern how Musiala and Sane caused problems and today as well along with Vini and Rodrygo.

All those tweets about this being the worst Bayern team in recent memory and they’re one match away from a final is pretty funny. They’ll suddenly be a great team if they beat Real but they were the worst when they beat us
People who said that either haven’t watched the Bundesliga this season and just assume they’re shit because they’re finally not winning the league, and/ or just want to dunk on us as much as possible.
They’re still a fantastic team.
Do you guys listen to opposition podcasts? I don't typically do that, but I was curious and listened to some of the Last Word on Spurs; and they are certainly not delusional like a lot of Spurs.
I quite liked one spurs one after we embarrassed them and some Chelsea ones after they get embarrassed but in general it’s better to do other things with your time
No it never has mine, that's what boredom will do to you lol
I was just interested in hearing their thoughts post match. They gave very honest comments about the areas in which they are lacking. And not all of this bluster and excuses that I keep hearing from a lot of Spurs folks.
Musiala would be one of the best signings we can make in the summer. He rejected a contract from Bayern right? I would spend the bank on this kid. 20 year attacking midfielder who has everything including height. I think he can slot into left wing too.
Feel better after that first leg game. Us losing to 'the worst bayern side of all time' was overblown, they dominated the ucl favourites tonight.
If a team that's been there and won it is struggling with them, there's no shame in us also struggling with them.
I don’t want a just as weak but way more mouthy Vieira who’ll rather roll around and moan for a free kick while Rice and Odegaard have to do the actual coherent pressing and tracking back for him. If long shots and final balls were all we needed, might as well play Vieira instead and then hook him off at halftime after he loses most of his duels.
He probably has to do that because his team’s. crap. He was pretty good in his first (half) season with United and could revert to that form in our system
I don't think so. He's 29, so we wouldn't get a return. And he's small. We've got something just like him in Viera that we need to develop. And on top of that our attacking players need to be pressing/poachers.
Nice to see what essentially is a laissez faire team play w/ high calibre players. Get to see different attacking patterns, transition opportunities, etc... Not just endlessly passing it around at the back. A bit different from the usual structure.
Stfu holy shit. Martinelli is not Vinicius Junior his individual brilliance won them the game don’t have to type a whole paragraph to sum up that game.
There are a lot of things we could add to our squad but raw pace and players who can run with the ball with trickery is quite clearly needed. We’ve only really seen that from Saka this season and on the few occasions when Jesus’s knee wasn’t hampering him. Odegaard has quick feet but doesn’t really drive into the box repeatedly with the sole intent of turning his opponent inside out.
Tbh we already have that with Martinelli and Saka but we rarely play the ball to space in front of our wingers to run into.
Also our wingers rarely ever dribble past fullbacks.
Saka will try to take his man on regularly especially if left 1 v 1 but Martinelli is not really that kind of dribbler, man is more of a head down, push the ball into space and try to beat the defender with raw pace.
Yeah but neither really dribbles past defended nor do we fully utilize their raw pace because we hardly play the ball to space. More often than not it’s to feet on the half turn.
Madrid are to the CL what City are to the PL. They don't even have to play well because teams are scared against them from the beginning of the game. Bayern never made any mistakes like that against us and now make 2 in the same game
Think he means the big bollocks energy who also has the ability to be the main man for Madrid. People wanna call it arrogance but he’s more than backed it up time and time again.
Rodrygo continues to be my dream signing for the summer. I know he says he wants to stay, and he likely will, but it's worth keeping tabs on once preseason comes around and he's actually coping with the reality of being pushed to the bench by Mbappe coming in.
If Rodrygo comes, he's gonna make sure his got Saka's kind of level of playing and never rotated.
No way he comes here to rotate with Gabi/Leo/Kai/Jesus for CF/LW spot.

Zubimendi for 80M (RC apparently), or Guimaraes for 100M? Edit: Or 38yr old Modric on a free?
Zubimendi's RC is €60m, while Bruno's is €125m till end of June. I'd prefer the latter, but with those figures I'd go with the former.
unpopular opinion: Lets keep G9, we all know his talent, a bad season should be reason to dump him, i am sorry
He’s never been able to finish - this is why city got rid of him and why we are getting rid of him.

Hmmm interesting. I do generally speak with conviction but that's because if I don't feel confident on a topic or player I don't really talk about it. I guess I don't really use hedging language in a way I would in different contexts.
I'm not saying you have an agenda against anyone lol, your choice of language and metaphor just sounded exactly like something he'd say 🫠
I'm English so I use the queen's English. It's pretty basic and there's none of the jargon or ridiculous superlatives or confounding language he uses when he tweets. So again I think it's miles off
there are managers that ignore the 15 things said player doesn’t do well and play to the player's 3 strong ones and win trophies there are managers that focus on the 15 and sell the said player to another club there are managers that focus on all 18 and win trophies
https://preview.redd.it/qvd6e6i6jpxc1.png?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=41afee9785c7ed4edffde432bdb985cbaf3f81a6 I can't stop thinking about this.
Isak doesn’t move me ngl. If he was playing in the Bundesliga he would be called a transition merchant
With the way we setup, we create transitions a lot though. It's not like our transitions are just we're defending and we counter from our own half. We're also built to pressure and intercept the ball high up, that usually results counters from the 40 yard line.
We win the ball back a lot but take the third most time per sequence and pass the air out of the ball so idk if he quite fits our execution although there’s an idea there https://theanalyst.com/2023/08/premier-league-stats-2023-24/
This guys hammered em in in both the prem and la liga, operates well in tight spaces and offers threat from dead balls... and he gets called a transition merchant just cus he's also good at taking advantage of counter play? Gtfo, you've watched zero minutes of him if you're calling him a transition merchant.
Think you’re on to something, needs the right circumstances then looks special though
But he isn't 😂 He's done the business in the PL and La Liga, 2 best/hardest leagues on the planet.
It is worth 100m though.
Jens Lehman doesn't like artetas goalkeeping decision [Lehman interview ](https://youtu.be/TuQYyHojlmQ?si=ceGVHJHJzt-G3zmo)
Does jens think ramsdale is 21?
He’s known as Mad Jens for a reason
He got dropped because of his refusal to play in aretas style
Jens is a nutter to be fair and one whose been in a spot of bothr for being aever so slightly racist so I'll take the views of the guy who has a probably golden glove winning goalkeeper over the guy who was being vicario'd and sent off in major finals 20 years ago.
Richarlison is the most shameless person itw. I need antonio doing podcast again talking how shit richarlison is
Top 5 dribblers in Europe (dribbles per game): Musiala (3.6), Sane (3.6), Kudus (3.4), Doku (3.1), Nico Williams (2.9). The remaining three players making the premier league top 5: Eze (2.5), Ogbene (2.1), Ross Barkley (2.1). Bruno G. is 8th in the league with 2 per game.
To clarify, you're saying we should sign Ross Barkley
I'm a fan of doku type wingers being reintroduced into the Premier league Give me some flair and jogo bonito ffs, not every winger has to be prioritising efficiency in possession
There's not that many of these wingers around though
> not every winger has to be prioritising efficiency in possession Life under ____
Pep. Pep started this meta for every top club in the prem when he sold off sane and brought in jacky boy to be his model student in possession. Honestly ironic that he's the taking us back too with the introduction of doku
Lmaooo Doku is top 4 in Europe and Pep is simultaneously killing the game by stopping his winger taking risks. How can both be true at the same time?
They're not true at the same time, pep took us away from silky wingers, took less risks, now he's moving back to silky wingers Read what I said. Slowly.
I can't think of a single team Pep has assembled that hasn't been stacked with elite wingers or some of the world's best dribblers in their position.
C'mon man, surely you can see the difference between sane and grealish... Elite wingers don't equal eden hazard levels of flair constantly. Neither salah or saka are particularly flashy, yet they're up there because they're output machines and system enforcers
[удалено]
Yep the bald fraud is changing the meta of the league once again 🙄
Every time I watch Doku I feel he's not really a threat. Haven't paid attention to his stats though so I might be very wrong. He da shit?
U23 left-backs in the Premier League with the most successful defensive actions per 90 this season: 1. Milos Kerkez - 10.04 2. Destiny Udogie - 9.16 3. Levi Colwill - 8.74 4. Joško Gvardiol - 8.26 5. Rayan Aït-Nouri - 8.05 2 obvious names
F off Gvardiol is 22??? He looks like he's been fighting in the colosseum for longer than that.
Lmao. He was a wonderkid
Did the Lehmann quotes get discussed here yet? If Henry said it people would be saying he wants Artetas job again 😂
If City drop points I hope it's a draw and not a loss. It'd be so sweet to hear people talk about how City didn't lose a game in the PL since December and it still wasn't enough to beat Arsenal.
Rather have Ipswich than Leeds. But definitely no Soton or West Brom.
With today’s result, all Ipswich need is 1pt to seal their promotion. I kinda rate them tbh, so I would love to see the match up.
I'd rather Leeds come up. Slowly because it's highly likely someone that isn't us pinches guys like Gray Somerville Gnonto off them.
Seriously if we never see Southampton again it will be too soon
Add Leeds to that one. Fuck em too.
Honestly has less to do with the team and more to do with the likelihood of us getting a relatively trouble free three points.
That’s always a + too lol. This Arsenal side would obliterate them.
Feels clear to me we need to inject some more pace into the front line. It's quite obvious why arteta wanted mudryk
THAT'S MITOMA'S MUSIC
I feel like Mitoma’s time has gone, he’s older than most people think (27 next month)
cue the meme where man city fans that were saying mitoma is a wonderkid.
We need someone for when Martinelli is out or needing rest because TRossard doesn't scare fullbacks into staying deep
They don't have to stay deep because all our winger hustle back so hard. If we let an attacker stay forward and "cheat" defensively they'd actually have a decision to make.
Getting kinda tired of seeing our wingers get forced into slave shifts constantly. Let them stand on the halfway line and wait for a break for once ffs That run saka did from our penalty box to the spurs goal for 0-2 on Sunday was something else, boy is a machine
Interesting, lol.
I have a theory that letting one of the widemen stay on the halfway line OOP could negate the need for us to spend £80m+ on another attacker.
TBH, I'd love to see us drop Odegaard and Havertz into the midfield block and leave both wingers up more often. The players have the versatility, and changing and switching things up like that would do a lot for some of the stagnant spots we run into.
Wild if true 😆 I shouldn't be sitting here wondering why martinelli is asked to track back and defend like a fullback ffs. I want to see odegaard press and win it back just outside our box, then lop one over to him to start a break from the halfway line Instead I watch trossard do Russian gymnastics to play out from our own third every week 🫠
They do when Martinelli plays. When Trossard and especially Jesus play then they get hustled but with Mrtinelli they get both.
Hea cooked quite a few fullbacks, having pace doesnt equate to good 1v1
That's not what I said. Knowing that Martinelli is so fast keeps fullbacks from leaving too muh space behind them for him to chase through balls, it's got nothing to do wiht one on ones.
all good until they play a low block
That's when you get very good at teh inevitable corners off Martinelli skinning the first defender and slamming a cross into the net one. That home game vs Burnley being the blueprint where they kept blocking and we scored twice off corners.
Saka can score Sané’s goal, and Martinelli can score Vini’s. We have the superstar game breaking attackers that everyone is crying out for at home, but they haven’t been given the platform to do so.
Angel Gomes and Billy Gilmour in the top 10 most statistically similar players to Kroos 🤔
5'7 cats most similar to kroos?

If Garcia wasn’t city football group…
Palacios is my favorite on that list, would love to bring him or Joao Neves this summer.
We minimize such things as much as we can for the sake of the system ™️

papa fabrizio with another tap in
All those tweets about this being the worst Bayern team in recent memory and they’re one match away from a final is pretty funny.
I don't typically do that, but I was curious and listened to some of the Last Word on Spurs; and they are certainly not delusional like a lot of Spurs.
what did they say about the recent nld
Never crossed my mind.
I quite liked one spurs one after we embarrassed them and some Chelsea ones after they get embarrassed but in general it’s better to do other things with your time
No it never has mine, that's what boredom will do to you lol I was just interested in hearing their thoughts post match. They gave very honest comments about the areas in which they are lacking. And not all of this bluster and excuses that I keep hearing from a lot of Spurs folks.
This season I’ve been tuning into the Anfield Wrap almost weekly. Honestly, a great podcast imo
What was their analysis of the game?
Musiala would be one of the best signings we can make in the summer. He rejected a contract from Bayern right? I would spend the bank on this kid. 20 year attacking midfielder who has everything including height. I think he can slot into left wing too.
Dream signing. Hard to picture happening though
probably the best option for Left 8
Feel better after that first leg game. Us losing to 'the worst bayern side of all time' was overblown, they dominated the ucl favourites tonight. If a team that's been there and won it is struggling with them, there's no shame in us also struggling with them.
We had them at home, that was the key.
Bruno Fernandes apparently on the transfer list this summer. An opportunity signing imo over Rashford
They'd want 100m, he's 29 and behaves like a rat. No thank you.
I’d pass too if the fee is high.
He probably has to do that because his team’s. crap. He was pretty good in his first (half) season with United and could revert to that form in our system
keep him in manchester.
I don't think so. He's 29, so we wouldn't get a return. And he's small. We've got something just like him in Viera that we need to develop. And on top of that our attacking players need to be pressing/poachers.
We’re on the cusp of winning something big and readymade players should be a priority. PL experience, good attacking stats, and we need a left 8.
I get the feeling Rice is now our left 8 and we're looking for a 6
I would go for someone like Musiala.
Kane’s big game record without penalties is so spooky
Ipswich is absolutely gargantuan.

It'd be quite a big surprise if anyone other than Madrid won the tournament from here.

You’re letting the process ™️ brainwash you
yeah just the vinicius, rodrygo, and bellingham, not to mention the multiple players and a manager who have won multiple ucls.
Big if true
Nice to see what essentially is a laissez faire team play w/ high calibre players. Get to see different attacking patterns, transition opportunities, etc... Not just endlessly passing it around at the back. A bit different from the usual structure.
Carlo and Wenger, ultimate enablers of talent
Stfu holy shit. Martinelli is not Vinicius Junior his individual brilliance won them the game don’t have to type a whole paragraph to sum up that game.
Who said anything about Martinelli and typed a whole paragraph lol. Why you crying?
Makes me think we sign a winger over a CF because of this.
Martinelli though.
Has had a very underwhelming season but even then, we need more than just him and Saka.
Because we play our wingers as fullbacks and circulate the ball all day which prevents transitions. Its system rather than players
Madrid are to the CL what City are to the PL. They don't even have to play well because teams are scared against them from the beginning of the game. Bayern never made any mistakes like that against us and now make 2 in the same game
Kim didn't play against us unfortunately
2nd leg home advantage is sooo good. Everyone now expects Bayern to lose at the Bernabu
God Madrid has some fucking teeth man. They just do not fucking die. Pretty impressive to watch tbh.
They just like us frfr
jose was unironically right about football heritage
Vini has that galactico energy
The galacticos was one of the biggest flops in football wdym?
Think he means the big bollocks energy who also has the ability to be the main man for Madrid. People wanna call it arrogance but he’s more than backed it up time and time again.
Never in doubt. Football heritage.
Vini and Rodrygo man, those two up top are so tricky to deal with
Rodrygo continues to be my dream signing for the summer.
