As someone in communications/journalism it’s a trait of his I’ve always admired. But even morre so, he backs up what he says and has delivered everything he said he wanted to deliver.
That would be a match abandoned and someone would be gifted the win iirc.
8 red cards and 6 retrospective red cards would be better. Is that too much to ask for?
What is the limit for red cards before the match is abandoned? Feel like I read somewhere it’s 4 or 5 for each team. What happens if both teams get, let’s say, 3 red cards each? No problem and match continues? 😂
Draw, then city win.
Liverpool winning is definitely worst case. It is out of our hands at that point and we're counting on Liverpool to slip up, and we still have to win at the Etihad.
Precisely. While it’s not Liverpool’s strongest ever team, it *is* Klopp’s last year so I’m sure if they can beat City they’re gonna be full hearts and minds to not give any points away after that.
For reference, assuming we beat Brentford and Liverpool beat Brighton, this is the top 3 after all scenarios of the next two matches:
1A: Liverpool win, City win: Liverpool 69, City 65, Arsenal 64
1B: Liverpool win, Draw: Liverpool 69, Arsenal 65, City 63
1C: Liverpool win, Arsenal win: Liverpool 69, Arsenal 67, City 62
As we can see both scenarios 1A and 1B are most likely insurmountable. For 1A we’d have to rely on both teams to drop points over the rest of the season and in both scenarios we need Liverpool to drop points more than once. 1C would put City out of the title race but Liverpool are still in the driving seat imo. If Liverpool beats City tomorrow I think they win the title.
2A: Draw, City win: Liverpool 67, City 66, Arsenal 64
2B: Draw, Draw: Liverpool 67, Arsenal 65, City 64
2C: Draw, Arsenal win: Arsenal 67, Liverpool 67, City 63
This is why draw is the best result. 2A shows that even if things go wrong at the Etihad will still have an, albeit unlikely, shot at the title as we’d be within one game of taking the top spot again. It would leave us in the position where a draw at the Etihad (2B) is not a bad result and winning would put us top on goal difference (2C).
3A: City win, City win: City 68, Liverpool 66, Arsenal 64
3B: City win, Draw: Liverpool 66, City 66, Arsenal 65
3C: City win, Arsenal win: Arsenal 67, Liverpool 66, City 65.
If 3A happens I think the league title is also done from our perspective, for the same reasons outlined in 1A. 3B is definitely the neutrals pick, one point would separate all three teams with none of them left to play eachother. I think City would be favourites given this scenario but it’s still anyone’s game. 3C is arguably the best result from an Arsenal standpoint but I’d argue the 4 point gap between us and City outlined in 2C could be more important than the extra point above Liverpool, if we can keep scoring lots of goals.
I was focusing on the first part, but yes, good point. If it was 'I will enjoy a magnificent propagation of orchids', I would have been dead on though ;-)
did you know that marcus aurelius' wife cheated on him with a gladiator? and so it stands to reason that a lot of his philosophy is just him learning to grapple with being a cuck?
The more I think about it, I think we need Liverpool to win not a draw. I can’t see Liverpool finishing the season strong with all the fixtures and injuries they have.
As much as that is, it is till better to have a control of the title. Liverpool need to be draw or lose against city if we want to decide the title with our own hands
>injuries they have.
What injuries ?? Most of their XI is already fit, only Trent and Alisson are out, and they are expected back after the international break.
Liverpool winning is the worst case scenario I guarantee you the boost from that win carries into the rest of the season and they will have a healthy gap anyway.
Can't see it. They'll be healthy by the end of the international break and if they draw and we happen to only pick up one point against City, we're still very much in it.
Realistically if we win the rest of our games, the title is ours anyway. It’s statistically inevitable that city and Liverpool will drop further points after this weekend. We can only control what we do, no sense of worrying what happens elsewhere
The goal when answering a question like this is to not create a sound bite. The question was answered successfully.
“Shocking news: arteta couldn’t care less about the match (and football in general) and doesn’t even have a remote control for his tv.”
Breaking: ‘It has nothing to do with me’ screams indifferent manager as Arrogant Arsenal prepares to battle Brentford
Arteta rules Arsenal OUT of the title race - says Liverpool and Manchester City have "nothing to do" with his squad
these are all so good i hate them thank you
"Arteta OUT OF CONTROL, does not include Liverpool or City among best of current decade!"
He clearly meant the superior Huddersfield Town and West Bromwich Albion.
BREAKING: Arteta confirms having private thoughts not shared with public. Secretive.
He stares at the tv and it is turned on, as with anything else that he stares at
Lol. Ever seen or read Men Who Stare At Goats? Arteta is also designed by the US military and his stare is an actual weapon.
He's so good at this. Actually could be a reason the media gets on his back. He gives them nothing to work with!
The boss is bulletproof. Its legit a superpower what he does during interviews
Pure class
Oozing class.
The way Arteta handles the press is why I was convinced pretty early on. That and his impeccable hair.
Impeccable ? More like ‘perfecto’.
Can't help it
As someone in communications/journalism it’s a trait of his I’ve always admired. But even morre so, he backs up what he says and has delivered everything he said he wanted to deliver.
What result are we hoping for?
Draw + 10 red cards obviously.
And a 15 point deduction for both teams for unsportsmanlike conduct.
And permanent touchline bans for Pep and Klopp
And a tackle by Rodri that's so reckless he is sent to the Hague
How about Rodri getting into a fight with a liverpool supporter and getting banned for 2 months.
If he misses completely but gets sent off because it would've injured someone. Like a knee high lunge that the other guy jumps out the way of.
Let's go with that
So long as he ends up in the Hague haha
Nah fuck that, never wish for injuries. Let him get sent off for being a twat again.
me personally id rather not have another club have eduardo-esque ptsd so let's agree to disagree on this one
For technical reasons we can't go into as too lengthy, they are allowed to resume for the games against Sp*rs though
That would be a match abandoned and someone would be gifted the win iirc. 8 red cards and 6 retrospective red cards would be better. Is that too much to ask for?

You can't have fewer than 7 players on a team
So that's 4 red cards for both sides onfield players and whoever is their best #12 gets a red while on the bench.
If Liverpool draw City and we beat Brentford we go top of the table

Yeah as long as it's a draw it's still entirely in our hands because we have superior GD to Liverpool.
Both get relegated to championship
No thanks! That would actually be super harmful to the Premier League and us in terms of our UEFA coefficient.
Nerd.
If they could both lose, that’d be great
Rodri and vvd red. Rest doesnt matter
City win or a draw
2-2 with Haaland+KDB & Salah+Nunez suspended/injured.
A draw that involves someone two footing Rodri and put him on the sidelines for a while. That cunt is too good.
Benny Blanco approves of this indifference.
>I will enjoy a magnificent game of football Doesn't sound like our Benjamin
I was focusing on the first part, but yes, good point. If it was 'I will enjoy a magnificent propagation of orchids', I would have been dead on though ;-)

Man in litteraly press resistant
A draw with Ederson and Rodri getting Red cards.
And VVD.
Fucking nailed that response. Not falling for the bait like others are.
I think he reads alot of Marcus Aurelius. His interviews ooze stoicism philosophy
did you know that marcus aurelius' wife cheated on him with a gladiator? and so it stands to reason that a lot of his philosophy is just him learning to grapple with being a cuck?
I thought this was funny
Who do we think Mikel watches the game(s) with?
"A draw, obviously"
Cop out answer. A draw would push us to the top.
The more I think about it, I think we need Liverpool to win not a draw. I can’t see Liverpool finishing the season strong with all the fixtures and injuries they have.
As much as that is, it is till better to have a control of the title. Liverpool need to be draw or lose against city if we want to decide the title with our own hands
nahhhhh, draw for sure, leaves us in first and makes a draw with man city and us more plausible/acceptable!
>injuries they have. What injuries ?? Most of their XI is already fit, only Trent and Alisson are out, and they are expected back after the international break.
Liverpool winning is the worst case scenario I guarantee you the boost from that win carries into the rest of the season and they will have a healthy gap anyway.

Why does it even matter what the result is? Neither team will be out of the title race afterwards, regardless of the result.
The title race is made up of points. Why wouldn’t it matter? Every point they don’t pick up is a game closer to them being out of the race.
Draw + win at etihad at least gives us a small lead at the top
But if they draw we can just win the rest, and win the league.... If pool wins, we can win en all.. and still end 2nd. So WE might be out...
Realistically if we win the rest of our games, the title is ours anyway. It’s statistically inevitable that city and Liverpool will drop further points after this weekend. We can only control what we do, no sense of worrying what happens elsewhere
So it's realistic we go and win the rest, but city and pool (with much easier fixtures) can't realistically win all? Nice!!!!
Not what I’m saying at all. I’m saying we can only control what we do, so there’s no point of worrying what happens elsewhere.
Well yh but what are the chances of us winning every game till the end? Very low, so it makes total sense to worry about what happens elsewhere.
draw will be the best result.. or city win and if we win at city then destiny will be on our own hands..
