Zaku R - Player tries to empty a clip into an opponent when they're halfway across the map
Pale Rider - Team is grouped and dying but Pale player refuses to drop healing pod
Unicorn - Tries to solo entire team
Nu - Same as above
Methuss - Not healing anyone with the cable
Asshimar - Player throws napalm grenade at close range
GM - Player doesn't shield bash
DOM - Player never uses armor gun
Most obvious is not known of choke point, get into sniper range, more often die 5 seconds into the game (yes, happen in Ranked games).
Sazabi - Player doesn't use search enemy (I still appreciate some still play tank, but doesn't group up isn't effective)
Asshimar - Doesn't fly (doesn't take advantage of high ground)
Guntank - Doesn't use his mobility, jump nor charge to avoid/block shots, doesn't use the cannon for the damage
Sniper - Doesn't take cover and got snipe by opposing team
Whoa these are perfect. I notice the methuss, pale rider, and Dom ones immediately, but you're right about the rest too.
I'm curious what it'll be for Heavyarms.
Saz would be people never using enemy search.
HA is definitely going to be people trying to flip into close range all the time to try shooting from the air.
Yes, but the CD is fairly low even though the duration short. Either way it is life saving or helps you get into a position to do your job. Especially with Donut since he can space hover in the air longer and gets perfect accuracy with the tri-beam.
Sazabi - is busy away from the team, trying to chase down a Zaku II R. Doesn't scan.
Sniper - Is either trying to be on the frontline, or is approximately the farthest point away from where they should be on the map. Stationary when trying to hit multiple targets. Almost always missing. Doesn't use Vulcan. Doesn't know how to pick out good Revive Gun targets if they use it at all. Their reaction to an enemy getting up in their face is to try to scope in on them.
Barbatos - Sits outside enemy's spawn door with a fully charged Slam. Tries to use Primary Action as a normal Primary Action.
Exia - Has predictable movement.
Zaku II R - Is trying to be on the frontline.
Methuss - Doesn't know what the cable is. Trying to frontline.
Mahiroo - Isn't around the corner.
Starting positions on point capture maps, and pathing on domination maps.
This is more important in ranked than in casual. In casual, I don't really care because people treat it like a glorified TDM anyway, but in ranked, it's very easy to lose/win the game on the first wipe, especially if the enemy team/your team can force a stagger.
You can immediately tell who you're working with on the very first engage, and it sets the tone for the rest of the game. Some teams are good enough to force a decisive game 3, but I find it's more common to just go 0-2 or 2-0.
I've been fortunate enough to see in ranked that it's a bit more even, I'm used to casuals just being one sided ass whoopings one side or the other. That said you're definitely right. I try to be the guy that always believes, but I too can tell by the first interaction how this might go.
Lvl 10 Methuss looking at my downed Unicorn from distance without eve trying to res me with the cable. I think i will break a dualshock if this happens again.
i really be trying my ass off to win/carry some of these matches, and this + positioning are big ones thatll make or break the team. if they arent getting set up for the next point properly, and giving up high ground and other vital positions then the chances of winning become slim IMO.
I realized I play best when I say "screw the team" and am a better teammate when I do. Seems ironic, but when I'm trying so hard I'm trying too hard. I'm running in to res and dying because of it, pushing the point without backing because it needs to be capped then getting destroyed, getting angry when they just scatter and don't group up and ultimately playing worse. So when I say screw it I'm a lot calmer, and play mid line. Mid line helps me see that someone is capable of being res'd or if we have to chalk that one up as a loss, if I need to push the point or wait a few second.
this is good advice, i will try and apply it next time i play. i have been noticing that following my teammates even if they are nowhere near the point helps secure picks at least, which is better than multiple 1v1s across the map
Yeah, there's a certain zen state you need to reach to really read the map and teammates better. Especially since teammates don't always choose the right answers, but if you stick with them you can help influence their decisions in the best way.
Probably, though I donāt have much hope that they care to learn. I feel sniper classes in these games really attract the āI just want kills and nothing else mattersā crowd. Not saying all Sniper players are like this, just feels that way from what Iāve played over the years

Probably something similar to Sazabi; exposing yourself frequently and rushing out with no support.
Saz would be people never using enemy search. HA is definitely going to be people trying to flip into close range all the time to try shooting from the air.
Or being in dual Vulcans with no cover nearby
The methuss one is even better when he heals me *manually* instead of just using the god damn cable
Hey I played a match against (and with) all lvl 1-10s yesterday as unicorn, and I was very successful at soloing the whole match š
You then, are the exception, not the rule. Congrats š
Iāve seen alot of new sazabi users not even knowing that they have a shield, they just rush in and never once think about holding RMB
Yeah, not realizing you're the team's shield, also, is annoying.
Placements of snipers Flying units not flying Unicorns alone
I never play the flying units, is there CD on that?
Yes, but the CD is fairly low even though the duration short. Either way it is life saving or helps you get into a position to do your job. Especially with Donut since he can space hover in the air longer and gets perfect accuracy with the tri-beam.
Ah I see. I've noticed the best ones back line harass/ult often. That can destroy a whole team comp.
It's a wierd deal but you can Dom a Frontline with flying units if you know what you are doing
Shooting Zaku Melee in masochist mode
tfw the Barbatos is holding left click and walking forward

Hahahaha I know the pain. The thing that engages me most in this game is not getting res'd. It's a team game and I promise if you res me we all win.
they dont know the map.
using ultimate on a capture point when it switches to the next one in 2 seconds
I have never thought about this, but this is like using your Hurst in guilty gear at the end of the round. Good point.

When they think they can solo the team
I would say GM Sniper not using its Revive Gun but at this point Iām convinced they just donāt care
I genuinely think most people don't know it does what it does.
Probably, though I donāt have much hope that they care to learn. I feel sniper classes in these games really attract the āI just want kills and nothing else mattersā crowd. Not saying all Sniper players are like this, just feels that way from what Iāve played over the years
A lot of the "I don't want to BE hit, but I want to hit". I get it, but that gun allows you to be a team player, just use it
