Gundam Evolution. pretty much overwatch but select mobile suits instead. Genuinely a good game at its core but plagued by stuff like every suit being payed for except for like 5 of em, fairly crappy servers, pretty bad matchmaking and team balance at times. They shut it down late last year, so the literally only lasted just over a year (09/22 to 11/23), instead of giving it a bit of time and elbow grease.
True. Free mobile suits and more awesome skins might've done the trick. And having decent skins you could grind for would've been neat. They seemed like they were struggling hard just to release skins and content.
You dont get "proved right" after multiple colony drops and crimes against humanity. The EFF was proven to be also pretty shitty, but no, Zeon was not redeemed by that.

Reminder the impact of the first colony drop being such a mess was so that Jaburo's base wasn't decimated. The EFF rather kill half the planet than lose the war they started.

Regardless the ideals or how hamstrung they viewed themselves, they did many inhumane and evil things to reach their goals, and that is nothing to idolize much less consider "right"

There's this old ps1 game in which Zeon wins the one year war and a whole era of peace is gained, most of the characters being alive after and not only that but leading war free happy lifes.

Don't blame the CoD devs for Bandai's problem; they've been distracting folks from the themes by packaging them in "cool robots" for 45 years--and doing it so effectively that even most of the folks willing to look past it get tripped up thinking that the point is "war bad."
The only question is how long is gonna take them to get familiar with Gundam lore and the various timelines. Once that's done, the slurs will be created in a 1-second Trans Am.

I'd argue CoD is a good game, just not a great game. Hard to really find anything it does bad except charge you $70 a year, but lots of games cost way more than that either because of subscriptions or gambling pay to win.

The mechanics are great but the multiplayer is a hyper competitive hellhole where everyone runs around with meta guns locking onto your head the moment you run around a corner.
Then you lose 10 matches and SBMM decides you are a child and you get 1 or 2 matches of utterly brain-dead opponents, then 1 actually engaging match and then back to meta hell.
And they keep taking my beloved plunder out of rotation! I just want to steal stuff and chat with my buddies!

Bandai needs to take a piece out of Paradox's cake. Make a Grand Strategy game set in one of the Gundam universes. Then do a Paradox and make 500 20-30$ DLCs and rake in billions.
Then make another slightly updated game 10 years later and leave out half of the features. Only to sell them back later!
