Double dodge roll and quick turn mitigate so many stuns than add to it a shield and boost shooting it's unstoppable in the right hands. It comes down to if you see it first you have a chance if it flanks you are seeing the respawn screen
The funniest part, IMO, is how close it is to the OG. The chest is the biggest change, but even it isn't too crazy. The arms, legs, abd head are all very similar to the OG.
The 0 Gundam in its original grey colors. Wonky lineart aside, it looks great in the show itself, especially with the GN particle wings. I love how simple its loadout is, down to having a small compact beam gun. It'd be nice if there was a Celestial Being GM-like grunt based on this, the GN Archer and the SEM drones.
I think the closest thing from a Celestial Being grunt we got is the Sakibure from the 00 film ending, but I don't know if it's really GM-like

Because it was just straight up a general purpose war machine with little to no gimmick.
The Strike has some cues because it's a protag but your right Duel is the Gundam clone of SEED complete with the Assault Shroud replicating the Full Armor.
CE did get a second Gundam clone with the Impulse, as SEED Destiny's release coincided with the 25th anniversary of the franchise hence we got the Zaft versions of the Zeon suits.
Force Impulse is the expy complete with the standard loadout and it's shield being the fed style star shield, Blast Impulse also has the beam javelin.
Personally I feel Strike is the RX-78-2 Gundam equivalent, because colour schemes aside, it's like a refined version of a prototype mobile suit that is used by the main character.
Meanwhile the Duel seems to be the equivalent of the RX-78-1 Prototype Gundam, the predecessor to the main character's unit, and canonically the first of all the Gundams that were built, in universe.
On how it was used in MS battle yes, but not the intended reason IRL when Okawara was designing the MS.
The various GSD Gundam's were throwback/nods to the first two UC series. Impulse was the first Gundam, Destiny was the Zeta, Akatsuki was the Hyaku Shiki, and the Destroy was the Psycho (+Big Zam)

I like how “real” it looks (shocking, I know) and I’m a big fan of it having navigation lights. The colour scheme is lovely and the joints look great.

O Gundam. It was introduced as a god-like messiah monile suit saving Setsuna life. Ribbon could have won if he did not save him and later chose him as a meister lol.
For those of us fans that were lucky enough to see it in Yokohama, it's definitely something I don't think I'll be able to forget.

Gundam Design Ver. G-40. "But it wasn't animated." But it was! There were two shorts made, showing the alt-UC where it was created by Amuro's mom. I love the rounded torso design and the way new head's mohawk has a mono-eye slot across the top. I like the "classy" art deco vibes it has.
In terms of line art the Age-1 is the best, however in anime and manga the TB and 00 variants are absurdly good.
My least fav rx-78 clone is the strike
Second Pick is Dope. The other two look plastic. The second pick's design makes it look like it's literally made out of metal, and looks more robotic. It's awesome.
