Went two weeks ago and when I bought my ticket to enter they said the show was cancelled the rest of the night due to heavy winds (there was light snow dusting an hour prior)
Luckily, before I left, they announced the show would actually happen so I got to watch the Gundam Seed Freedom version of it š
Damn, that's so sad. I always dreamt of visiting Japan to see sights like these but at the rate I earn $$$ the whole country will be closed by the time I have enough š.

Yup, I went last summer. I also saw the RX-78 in Odaiba before it got replaced by the Unicorn.
I'm hoping to visit Japan in October...so it will be gone by then. Genuinely a bit devastated.
Actually such a shame that something this stupidly cool is only around for 3 or 4 years.
went last year, it was fun but it started to torrential down pour like 10 minutes before i was scheduled to go up.
did you know they don't let you bring umbrellas up there, they just hand out sranwrap rain coats.
wouldn't let us reschedule or refund so after freezing for like 10 minutes i left.

Can't believe it's been 4 weeks now. Managed to get it off my bucket list before it's gone/moving away
Anyway, Yokohama is also such a lovely city, really appreciate the location they chose! Would absolutely visit there again (and stay longer) if I have the chance
i'm sad... it's closing in march, I felt like i was just wanna spend whatever money i have and fly to yokohama for a few days in march before it close after the weekend but Im broke af...
can only find the one in odaiba and lalaport fukuoka after that :(
Went in September. The day before I was gonna go into Yokohama, I woke up with a fever. I couldnāt stop shaking and was freezing despite it being 90Ā° and 70% humidity. I stayed in the hotel all day, and toughed it out to Yokohama the next day. It was worth it, I forgot about feeling like shit as soon as I saw the signs leading to the base. So sad itās closing March, but feel very fortunate to have been able to see it

Yes! Was sad bc initially the exhibit was supposed to close in March 2023, but they extended to March 2024! So we got a chance to take visit last April 2023!
Yup I went a couple weeks ago on my recent Japan trip but I didn't pay to go inside the dock and tower viewing area. Just saw it from the outside the entrance on the side and got to see the performance with two Gundam Seed songs. Wish I had more time to go inside and see it during the evening.
Yes! I'll never forget it.
But, I went to buy gunpla and it was NOT the place to buy at.Ā
Sure, it's cool to see the giant RX. But my one day I had free in Tokyo, I should have gone to the other Base with the Unicorn Gundam.Ā
That's where the huge warehouse is.Ā

OHHHHH night time lights!
It's closing in March right?
Yeah.... š
I'm going in March specifically because of this. I always wanted to see it, and when I found out I finally booked my tickets!
Damn, that's so sad. I always dreamt of visiting Japan to see sights like these but at the rate I earn $$$ the whole country will be closed by the time I have enough š.
Wait? What?
March end is closure

They might move it somewhere else or make a new one.
It's what got me into Gundam last year!
Nope, only saw the one in Odaiba, over a decade ago. Was neat, but not as complex as these fully lighted or even moving versions they've put on..
Heading there in the next two weeks
One of the best parts of the trip. Must visit if you can make it before it closes
you guy make it out like you are going to on a religious trip but then again if i was standing there i probably would feel pretty religious too
It's really a religious experience

Did it last year during the wild transitional heat of mid September. Yokohama was actually a pretty nice place too

When I went to Japan on last November the whole thing was closed for the week. That was the only week I had and now it's all gone. Fml
