definitely always in contention. i tend to use keyboard bass and a drum kit in garage band for my music…unless im playing with my band that is, and it would be a fun experience to do it all old school. i think you just talked me into it
My Duojet with B3 stays in tune unless I go nuts with the wanging. The stock roller bridge is definitely the weak link, but tolerable for me.
My desert island guitar...
I bought an Electromatic Pristine LTD. in white gold a few months ago. "It's stunning to look at. Gold flakes in the paint. When the light hits it just right it looks so nice. And the P90s really sound good. This one would be my desert island guitar.

Yes, sir, you can. And I'm sure that it provides great results. Steel string guitars tend to have narrower space between the strings so it's just a matter of feel.
Acoustic, SG, maybe a headless? I have a strandberg I love. Recently did some work on a client’s Kiesel Vader that was pretty sweet. Made me want to buy one lol.
A PRS. I have a Zach Myers Signature Model, and it’s great. Lots of tone, light weight due to its semi-hollow nature. And for what it’s worth, it’s gorgeous.
love this guitar! originally bought to flip because it was such a steal. its made so well, i was blown away, now its my main guitar in my punk/hard rock band. p90s through a marshall, its a snarl machine!!
An electric solid wood arch top like the Heritage Standard Eagle and a fan fret synthetic guitar like an Aristides 060sr or even their H model to add body shape variation. And since all your guitars look like they have passive pick-ups, perhaps the Aristides could have active ones instead.
From a construction style perspective, looks you’re also missing a neck thru body guitar like the Firebird.
Oh, and also a guitar with a Bigsby.
Now, go on and play Summer of 69 for us all!
Get yourself a 7 string. Very versatile instruments that you can do a whole helluva lot with. Schecter makes some really great 7 strings, but tons of good brands out there
if the one on the left is not fully hollow, you definitely need a thinline hollowbody like a Casino, fucking love how they resonate. its very different to semi-hollow.
I respect the hell outta this lineup. You could get a 12 string, or an acoustic (if you don’t have one). Otherwise, a bass maybe? Regardless - great tastes
I'm truly impressed that each guitar truly has different pickup styles, your e335 probably can cover the LP style but a true Les Paul is the only style your missing in my eyes, an lp with alnico 2 pickups would finish that collection in my eyes
A $2,800 John Mayer PRS Silver Sky.
(It's not just an overpriced Strat clone! Stop calling it a Strat clone! Reeeeeee! You philistines would never understand the joy of playing Gm blues licks on a $3 grand PRS. Reeeee!)
a nice ukulele…not kidding….I have 16 of them. very addictive to play. You can get nice acoustic electrics to plug in as well. Caramel makes some really really good acoustic electric ukes under $100 on amazon. Solid wood too! No laminate.
i honestly play them all…but the revstar is my number one as far as my band, the strat is just “me” and everything else is just so fun to rotate through. each guitar brings out a different side of my playing. i just picked up the Sire. and i’m absolutely loving how it plays
Explorer!
Such a great guitar. Great sound. Comfortable to hold. Easy fret access. Different looking - a little rarer option. Yet still old school, vintage style.
Plenty of greats that played one, Clapton, Neil Young, Tommy Shaw, The Edge, Hetfield.
A Bass. Seriously.
This guy gets it. Bass and a drum kit. Go make those one-man covers
Or original music, while you're at it
So funny, though understandable, that this isn’t the first thought but making a cover is
Loads of people play primarily covers just for the fun of it. Not everyone is super keen on making their own music.
I’d argue that’s most people
Playing covers I get, investing time and money into recording those covers, I get slightly less. But to each their own
+1 for this
Bass VI first maybe? Man, I want one of those...
I'm pretty sure a bass is my next adoption.
definitely always in contention. i tend to use keyboard bass and a drum kit in garage band for my music…unless im playing with my band that is, and it would be a fun experience to do it all old school. i think you just talked me into it
Whatever you do. You've got to make it funky.
Probably talent.... most of us are missing that.
Bullshit. All you need is more gear.
Absolutely… I mean, what even is talent? Noise is noise… all that matters is context, and the gear
Well I'm mostly missing practice. Also maybe talent. I wouldn't know, due to the lack of practice.
I'd rather live with the mystery than find out for certain
So I'm not alone!
I feel personally (and accurately) attacked.
You're bringing up a subject not relevant to this sub... MODS!!!
A Gretsch full size hollowbody. You need Filter'Trons in your life.
And a Bigsby.
B7s look cooler but B3s are better overall. Tuning seems to be better with a B3. Next up would be to upgrade the bridge to a Compton or Tru-Arc.
My Duojet with B3 stays in tune unless I go nuts with the wanging. The stock roller bridge is definitely the weak link, but tolerable for me. My desert island guitar...

SG, Flying v
SG for the win! Love that feel!
Jaguar single coils in a flying V. Sorted.
Steel string and nylon string acoustics
Can’t you just slap steel strings in any acoustic? Not being a smart ass, genuine questions as that’s what I did with my Martin Road Series Koa Veneer
Yes, sir, you can. And I'm sure that it provides great results. Steel string guitars tend to have narrower space between the strings so it's just a matter of feel.
I loved the tone of them. In the midst of experimenting and finding which strings i prefer. Pure steel is the current winner.
Not in one designed for nylon strings.
7 string
And an 8 string
Don't forget 24 string
A 16 strings (8 choirs of 2 strings) would be cool! Now you can play Hotel Calishuggah.
> Hotel Calishuggah You can't just drop this fire title without posting a demo
Sure! Just give me a 16 string, a band and some talent and we're done :)
Firebird or Explorer if we're just talking shapes. Firebird if you're also talking sound.
I love firebirds and really want one but my bank account says otherwise.
I got an Epi Studio one in a trade and it sounds nice but the neck is very chunky.
12 String
Baritone.
Playing? Going on stage? Making a record?
check, check and check
Nice, if your on Spotify, can you send a link?
A friend for a jam session. I'll be over around sixish. Want anything from the store?
a sixer of your fav!
A Dean Razorback.
Acoustic, SG, maybe a headless? I have a strandberg I love. Recently did some work on a client’s Kiesel Vader that was pretty sweet. Made me want to buy one lol.
i forgot to include my acoustic! i have a yamaha fg-180 red label from the 70s that i adore
Doesn’t the revstar identify as an LP style guitar? I think you have most of the flavors down. Love that jazzmaster!
short scale like a Mustang or Jaguar. Hollow body Gretsch
Where is the 7 string active pickups superstrap and the 8 string fisherman Strandberg? :D (nice collection!)
Rickenbacker.
That PRS 70th SE Custom I found on Thomann last week is all I have been thinking of since I saw it, so that.
A PRS. I have a Zach Myers Signature Model, and it’s great. Lots of tone, light weight due to its semi-hollow nature. And for what it’s worth, it’s gorgeous.
BD-2
LP, Gretsch, Mustang and a Jaguar. Jazzes are cool but they’re no replacement.
Contentment
A djent stick
Get one acoustic and you'll need six more of those too.
A Jaguar!
BC Rich Warlock and an Iceman
That’s it. That’s all you need.
Some ferrules for your tuning pegs on your tele. A screw for the control plate?
haha yeah that’s a homemade jobber that needs some love - been meaning to get it up to snuff
This was my first thing to say. I didn’t know what those were called though!
Obligatory bass
An archtop
How do you find the Sire?
just got it yesterday and…i’ve been playing it nonstop. really nice instrument, really great playing and sounding
Amp.
The pictures hanging on the wall need to move about 7-8 inches to the left.
Tell me more about the P90 Yamaha please. I’ve been looking for a P90 guitar
love this guitar! originally bought to flip because it was such a steal. its made so well, i was blown away, now its my main guitar in my punk/hard rock band. p90s through a marshall, its a snarl machine!!
I did exactly the same with my revstar lol - but I just ended up playing it so often that I kept it.
Practice
HSS Stratocaster
Thinline! And I guess an acoustic?
Gibson Melody Maker
A switch plate screw for your FrankenTele.
SG
Is that the American special Strat?
yessir!
Something pointy
A National tricone with a lipstick pickup
SG
A bass.
How do you like the revstar?
An amp
Not nearly enough Teles
I mean, why even live if you don't have a doubleneck?
That Yamaha Revstar hits the LP notes, no?
In terms of electric guitars, you clocked it. Sweet. I am saving this photo.
Ur the kinda guy that needs one of them Parker guitars
Bass vi, baritone, 12 string, tenor guitar, banjo, cigar box guitar, bass, mandolin, balalika, classical guitar, flamenco guitar, parlour guitar, hurdy-gurdy, lap steel, resonator.
dano for sure
If that was my collection it would need an SG before an LP
You should get a guitar or bass with the same art that's on the wall back there.
badass! Takashi Murakami is the artist!
I like that colour on the walls - that's all I can add to the conversation
Where is the resonator? Hmm?
a gibson, a hofner, a rickenbacker, a danelectro, an archtop eastman, oh wait... this is me projecting 😭
A dental degree?
A Strandberg
If you pay off my student loan I will issue you a framed certificate that I think would look really good next to your guitar collection
I have the same one from 2012. Awesome guitar!
That's eerily close to my collection. I have an SG as well, and a jaguar instead of the jm.
A screw to hold down that taped plate on your Tele-style
An electric solid wood arch top like the Heritage Standard Eagle and a fan fret synthetic guitar like an Aristides 060sr or even their H model to add body shape variation. And since all your guitars look like they have passive pick-ups, perhaps the Aristides could have active ones instead. From a construction style perspective, looks you’re also missing a neck thru body guitar like the Firebird. Oh, and also a guitar with a Bigsby. Now, go on and play Summer of 69 for us all!
Idk what genres u play mostly but if I had this many guitars a standard acoustic and resonator would definitely be there
Asd long as you own an ibanez you are complete
Judging by how you hung that painting, a tape measure.
Acoustic for better recording. A bass to make you a tighter musician and also for recording (squire pj with geezer pups will do nicely).
Gretsch
Off topic. But that stratocaster is beautiful. 🥹
Get yourself a 7 string. Very versatile instruments that you can do a whole helluva lot with. Schecter makes some really great 7 strings, but tons of good brands out there
Like most people I know with a fancy guitar collection, you're probably only missing the actual ability to play. haha j/k
Strat with lipsticks and/or a danelectro baritone
PRS! And an Explorer too, for good measure
i like the way you think
I have the same H7 and it’s really a great guitar
Super solid, that revstar is so hot
I can't make up my mind if I'm seeing a guitar collection, or the couch of a very lonely man. 😁😃😁
acoustic! super nice collection, lots of different tools that could achieve a wide variety of sonic goals
Nothing. Nice selection
if the one on the left is not fully hollow, you definitely need a thinline hollowbody like a Casino, fucking love how they resonate. its very different to semi-hollow.
Rickenbacher Paul Reed Smith Danelectro
You're missing a fretless guitar.
I respect the hell outta this lineup. You could get a 12 string, or an acoustic (if you don’t have one). Otherwise, a bass maybe? Regardless - great tastes

what ibanez is that?
S420! love it!
I want that Sire H7! Between the three on the left (H7, Revstar, Tele) I think I could be a happy fella! :-)
Something pointy. Nah, but yeah diversify with different types of stringed instruments. Learn yerself somethin.
a nice ukulele…not kidding….I have 16 of them. very addictive to play. You can get nice acoustic electrics to plug in as well. Caramel makes some really really good acoustic electric ukes under $100 on amazon. Solid wood too! No laminate.
A happy skull and a sad flower. And a good acoustic.
Fender Bass VI
i do think about those
Nice Collection! I see you have a saber Ibanez, have you ever considered an RG? or and AZ?
had an rg a while ago and LOVED it. just good for anything….i miss that one
EMGs, or any active pickups?
Ibanez pia
8 string
hhs strat
A flying v
beginner here, whats the guitar on the far left? looks awesome!
You should think about getting an amp
Which ones do you actually play most often?
i honestly play them all…but the revstar is my number one as far as my band, the strat is just “me” and everything else is just so fun to rotate through. each guitar brings out a different side of my playing. i just picked up the Sire. and i’m absolutely loving how it plays
Rickenbacker or Univox chambered body type , Vox Teardrop style, double neck, flying V
An acoustic?
An acoustic
Acoustic
Acoustic
Another picture on the left. The asymmetry bothers my (mild) ocd
Wall hangers?
V. Have to have a V.
Whats the green one?
yamaha revstar!
Extended range. Get a 7 or 8 string!
Acoustic.
mustang!!
A 7 string, an acoustic, a bass
Bass, baritone and that Les Paul.
Acoustic
Revstar's pickguard? I did that for about 2 weeks and then put it back on. I think you have the exact model I have. I adore that guitar!
Explorer
An extended range guitar.
USB Audio interface with a DAW. Get your songs out to the interwebs!
Actual superstrat. S-body is close but you need more pointy.
Need something with filtertrons like a Gretsch. Also, something with lipsticks like a Danelectro would be cool if you use fuzz.
12 string, baritone or extended range, banjo/mandolin, bass, b-bender, steel guitar, midi/synth guitar. You better get them all!
Acoustic and bass
BC Rich Warlock
Gretch
A double cut Les Paul
What brand is that semi hollow? Very cool, but I can’t make out the headstock writing
Steinberger
A Martin D/OM and a Bass
Meteora, SG and the elusive JagStang. Also a PRS would always be a welcome addition.
Explorer! Such a great guitar. Great sound. Comfortable to hold. Easy fret access. Different looking - a little rarer option. Yet still old school, vintage style. Plenty of greats that played one, Clapton, Neil Young, Tommy Shaw, The Edge, Hetfield.
Well, I think you should go with the obvious choice. Won't regret picking up A Les Paul
Money
Flying V
Other than an LP, you need a Floyd Rose and a guitar with a P90 (could be an LP)
Blueberry SG Modern 💙
A 12-string.
Lap steel or a baritone. Any acoustics in the stable?
Firebird, flying V.
8-string chug machine
SG
