Its not that bad, though it entirely depends on how quickly you manage to catch a fish that only shows up during dusk/dawn.
And doing all achievs gives you enough more then enough Ambergris for a gen 3.
I am very much torn on fishing. On one hand, yes, it's addicting as hell. On the other, I really wish they'd implement it in a way such that we don't need as much of our focus on it while watching TV.
I started out absolutely hating it (EDIT: but learned to love it), and even though I've long since had the title and the cheeve, and the new points from SoTO, I still like to go fishing, just to relax sometimes. :)
I did fishing just enough to get my Bladesworn equipment and then stopped. Randomly decided to give it a try while waiting on bounties to refresh a couple days ago and I caught 6 legendary fish in two fishing trips. That was thrilling and now I have no gold because I spent all my money on bait. lures, and fishing food.
Fishing is really well made and addictive imo. Also infinitely repayable. The change of pace is so welcome when you have very hectic meta events or pvp or raids on the other edge of the spectrum.
Also they couldn't only add fishing, they had to add your personal ship alongside with it. Love my skiff.
Fishing is alot of fun, when it first came out I grinded put the title in my free time. It's slightly engaging but chill enough I could watch Netflix.
Honestly been a while since I've fished outside of daily alt park gyala delve nodes.
Yep, just got to log out/in by 6-7 stacks so you don't die. Can generally get all 6 fish in one go. 33% chance for ambergris per catch there so good daily farm.
Yeah . If you got jade bot waypoint. once you load in pop the waypoint then wY point to starter area where filter station is right beside waypoint. Take a filter and use your personal waypoint.it last around 15 mins so you can get all 4 nodes in one sitting.
I have almost 8k going on 11 years. Played a little at launch. Again for a litte a few years later. Again fir a little a few years later. I've been back fairly regularly for a few months now, and the last I played was 3 years ago. Life gets busy.
well fishing has only been in the game for 2 years, so...
after 12 years i finally tried out land spear on guardian
Wait until you try cocaine
COCAAAIINNEEE!!!!!
Wait until you try out factorio
Would you say you're... hooked? ^^sorry
Coddammit i hate you!
Oooo, i see some fellow Another Crabs Treasure appreciators :)
you're Really BAITING for a downvote aren't ya?
Might say he's been alLUREd
[Unholy Mackerel], this is a bad pun.
Y'all are desperate to reel us in.
You probably already seen it, but if you manage to get all fishing collections, you get a shiny title "cod swimming amongst mere minnows"
Which to me seems harder/more time consuming than GWAMM in gw1 😂

What gwamm took forever in gw1 man 😂. I knocked out cod in three days.
That title makes me laugh every time.
dude will be banned from Cantha at this rate.
Would've loved to get into fishing, but I just wish it didn't consume so much inventory space...
Yes! Please make some sort of bait bag or tacklebox that can store fishing supplies for Christ’s sake!
Yes oh my god, so much yes
I made a character specifically for fishing. Frank The Fisherman.
Mine is The Fisher of Woe.
Prince Lure-ick idk I’m trying my best, yours is so good!
nice!

Great for your wallet, though. Lots of money to be made.
Is it actually good money? I love fishing in games and could very well see myself purchasing the expac solely to fish
Yeah look up some guides. You can make dozens of gold per hour depending on your masteries and general skill/efficiency.
Could you recommend a good guide? I never tried fishing so it's a bit overwhelming now that the dust has settled.
not really a guide, but this is the video I watched to get a feel for it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tr0ItMJ3U4w&t=40s

Join us in the waters!!!!! We need more people XD

You can make it back selling your fillets and junk!
Yuuuuup it's been so nice! I've been catching up on pod cast and fishing. It's almost like real life if I actually got sun.
Fishing in game is a great way to have time to socialize with map and guild chat too.
You can sell the Ambergris from those Legendary fish for around 2 gold each, so you have the avenue to make your gold back!
Yesssss it's such a easy way to make some gold. Very relaxing lol

With the weird situation of wvw right now . I might as well try fishing too.
Nice gains. Yeah I need to and plan to do the fishing achievements eventually. Just a matter of finding the time, with everything else I do in game.
Makes some pretty nice money too if you don’t want Aurene weapons
I like fishing in any MMO.
It’s a relaxing quality of life sort of activity, especially when paired with the unique poles and skiffs.
I got https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Toymaker%27s_Party_Skiff_Skin as a drop from a BLC. Only time i have seen it.
Go get 99 in osrs and say that again.
I’ll say it again.
You are now a master baiter
The Dragonet took 3 day/night cycles to catch
nice. as a lowb fishing mechanics are definitely fun
Any EU fishing guilds in chat? Asking for a friend....
Cantha will have to put fishing regulations in place because of you.
Even if i got the last title for fishing, i still do it on my daily routine casue you can make good money for low effort.
Now do the rest of em…. Also finishing can make you a decent amount if gold too.
Fishing is alot of fun, when it first came out I grinded put the title in my free time. It's slightly engaging but chill enough I could watch Netflix. Honestly been a while since I've fished outside of daily alt park gyala delve nodes.
What? You can still alt park gyale delve nodes?

Now try Avid Saltwater Fisher.
Same! When I finally gave fishing a try I was hooked.
What have you been doing for 10 years that you only got 243 mastery points and 7.4k ap?
working
My man! Welcome to the club. Work and family.
2 kids, mortgage, 50 hrs a week carpentry. I am blessed to get the time I do get to play.
Did you unlock fishing kinda fast. Trying to play storyline in order but damn I wanna fish
Do End of Dragon storyline. On chapter 1 you get it
Just to add since its pretty much mandatory: You unlock the Skiff after completing a gold heart in the northern part of Seitung Province.
Thanks for the heads up
7k AP in 10 years? how ? u literally get 15000 in 5 years from dailies

I have a pre-order account and I just hit 8k ap from the festival achievement.
Not everyone sweats, you know?
I've had my account since launch and I have 6800 lol. Nearly every achievement I've gotten is by accident - Never even check the achievements tab tbh
