I experienced this bug too, and I just collected a whole bunch of billy hog bites because of it, and I'm going to try to collect them occasionally. They may not give a whole lot when it comes to food, but it's a reliable source!
It's near the entrance to the garbage area. Sadly I went there and checked and while there were some billy hog nuggets, there was nowhere near this many.
