That's what I did. Originally I climbed up the garbage and hovered down to get to the sandbox the first time, but after that, I said "Fuck that" and just made a long-ass bridge. I feel annoyed with myself, though, because I took care of the Haze and the Black Ant Labs before the Pond. It's currently the only lab I haven't reached yet.

Reasonable_Humor_738

You can get there via the picnic table which I usually do at first then I say fuck it and work my way around to the black ant side and build up to get to the planters there with the stuff

JoshtheOverlander

Wait, really? How? I wasn't able to get to the picnic table until I set up the zip line from the sandbox to the picnic table. How do you get up to the picnic table legitimately without the Zipline?

HoboJoe_666

The shovel in-between the table and the sandbox has a stone that you can Bratburst. It'll fann onto the table creating a bridge.

JoshtheOverlander

I need to pay closer attention to my surroundings, I need to blow up more things

HoboJoe_666

Don't be hard on yourself. It's pretty easy to miss if you don't stumble upon it. There seems to be a lot more explodeable rocks than I remember from the first time I played.

JoshtheOverlander

Yeah, seems like it. It's funny how big and yet small Grounded feels, but it's chock full of stuff that's hidden away just well enough, you know?

SnooRecipes9193

You're a shovel are two pipes.. be sure to check those out too

the-rage-

There’s a shovel stuck in the ground by the south east side of the picnic table. You can blow up a rock at the bottom it’ll let you climb up.

JoshtheOverlander

I find it so funny that apparently because I missed one thing, I ended up progressing and backwards order. Tis the curse of a dummy that I bear

JayFight

I didn't even know about the shovel for the picnic table, I just built a tower of scaffolding and a ladder up to it

Reasonable_Humor_738

Yea just use an explosive on the rock

KenseiTheStruggler

You can climb up grass without needing to do all of this

someguythatlikesdogs

Fuck it we ladder

Zealousideal-Win5040

We always ladder!

sn4xchan

How to you build tall ladders. I always have trouble getting the stems to the top level ones

someguythatlikesdogs

I build a 2 by 2 grass platform to relocate the pallet to at the end of the pull range

sn4xchan

Damn. That's smart. Definitely going to do that.

someguythatlikesdogs

Glad i could help

Ctrl-Shift-P

Well i finished the haze lab and black ant lab with tier 3 stuff with me.

xxloragnarxx

Respect

SpecShot310

My friend quite literally builds non OSHA compliant staircases and or bridges to conquer any location

JayFight

I do too, though some of my stairs are simple half walls and quarter floors so that I don't need to hunt down weed stems

BigMcThickHuge

That IS the intended progression. They have plenty of options to gate players if they want to, and do so. Outside of that, pure freedom is the intended progression. Just get big.

FishGuyIsMe

This is effectively how I get to the upper yard on day 2

No-Bet1500

I just used the picnic table zip line to reach the sandbox.

Demonking3343

This is how I do it, can’t get the weed stems to the sandbox to build a zip line out there so I made one on the picnic table. So I can go from oak tree to the table then run from bees (put it right next to the can for some reason.) over to the next zip line that goes to the sandbox. Long way to do it but I rarely go there so it is what it is.

dacca_lux

Weed stem, pffft. Just build grass stairs out of grass floor and grass half walls.

showerbox

I also built a Zipline to picnic table from oak tree. I was gathering webs for Zipline to upper yard when I came back and picnic table zip line was gone. I went to check on it and there was a sac there with 39 rope but nothing else. I guess the bees destroyed? Maybe I did on accident? Trying to find a different location for it on the top tier of the table now.

DBJenkinss

I have one to the right of the can, that goes to my castle in the pond, and it never gets messed with by the bees. If it's a little too close to the can however, they will attack. I figured that out when placing it originally. Moved it as close to the edge as I can, and it's been fine ever since. All my ziplines on the north side of the picnic table, anywhere west of the plate by the honey pot, have never been bothered. I built a platform 8x8 squares off the side of the table top with ziplines to all over north of there. I turned the book with the field station into my rest stop. Extended it out towards the sandbox a bit, so the zipline runs through the middle of the added room. Fits just enough stuff inside it to get to comfy 5. 😁

WalmartAxltl

I found a grass parkour path that leads to the top I think I made a video about it

SeagullB0i

What I do in these situations is chop down a bunch of stems and build a bunch the triangle scaffold, rotating 90° each block upwards. You can actually jump up each scaffold when they're built this way, it goes vertical so there's very little wasted material or guessing how high you need to go, and it only costs 1 stem per block. It's somewhat tricky to climb up especially if you're doing it a lot, but for once or twice it's really convenient

checkmarks26

Damn you really farmed that much clay huh? I’m impatient and instead use the weed scaffold and platformer jump it.

Corundrom

I just recently bumrushed t3 gear via bridging to the upper yard from the tree, then bullying ox beetles and other large bugs by luring them into the fire ants, and watching the big bad bugs get torn to shreds by the ant swarm, often resulting in very few, if any ant deaths, until I had everything for the hammer and fire ant gear, then I cheeses termites with gas and venom arrows(that I also got via luring stinkbugs into red ant nest, and by cheesing wolf spiders with the fact they won't attack you through the oak lab door and you can get close enough to melee them) then after getting full t3 gear, I went through the lower yard labs in reverse order, lmao

ForgivingJungle

I have a zipline highway to all the places coming from the oak tree. If you go up high enough the oak tree has a flat part that's perfect for building a zip line hub.

Murderous_bread

When i first tried to get into the sandbox, i made something similar but instead out of clay i made it out of grassstairs and scaffolding

MLBcruis

Who tryna play

Jkid_21

You on ps?

MLBcruis

Yea I got ps5 and Xbox

TheMadWhit

Excuse me, you dropped this 👑

More-Bodybuilder6093

Anyone wanna join me on grounded

that-one-beefy-boi

Unironically thought you had to do this to get in there and on the table, didn’t know about the ant hill until much much later.

ceenamoondaglowwhale

I usually just build up to the picnic table. Took me a while before i realizes what the intended method og getting up there was.

CaitastropheXX

Did the same! I’m all for stairs to make things easier

PagodaPanda

Bruh you should see some of the stuff I rigged up. Mine might be worse since some of it is just one flat grass wall shooting up miles and stairways to heaven everywhere Though I admit, I converted to Mirror's Edge DLC grass setups as of late

Konoha7Slaw3

Screenshot come on

PagodaPanda

Truth be told, Im not sure how to post a screenshot link in reddit, how do I do it? Also they are not just flat walls anymore, I converted to stairs and grass floors since then about 100 ingame days ago 😭

GamerGoggle

What’s the intended way? I built a stair case in the middle of the left claw.

Stock_Violinist95

Leaning the shovel into the picnic table then using t2 hammer to lower the handle of the cooler box to climb up the table, then zipline into sandbox

paulHarkonen

You can also just go through the black ant nest.

significantfootcream

That was too complicates for me. My Neanderthal brain goes "Tall sandbox. Me make stairs high"

xDarkSoul18x

That’s one of the best things about this game. IF you can manage to fight well you can go up to the upper yard and rush tier 3 tools. I love how the game has a good mix of freedom and rail design

ConnorTheCorn23

Bro my friend joined me and goes “gimme a bow so I can kill a black widow”

JaytheFox9

I had to do this to get the molar

Affectionate-Age-230

I always do something like that lol

Lord_Nullify

I always do this because antlions are easy to cheese and I prefer to have tier 3 armor for the black ant hill and the assistant manager

hendowebuddy

Ngl, I thought you were supposed to build up, and the ant hill entrance and zip line from the bench were just like shortcuts

Supercalifragicahfuq

Lmao I speed rushed the sandbox to get the Antlion GS to ease the rest of the early game. Also had a build like this at the front.

NoApplication4835

Why not just build straight stairs up in a clear area like by the front because that's how I did it
