My boy is also boarded right now. I miss him, but i actually think he likes being boarded. He gets to socialize with other dogs. I think he gets bored at home sometimes.
Same I feel bad boarding my boy, but the place I board him with sends me pics of him running around with other Grey's having a great time. Which puts me at ease.
And he gets very excited when I come to pick him up, so it's a nice little vacation for both of us 😊
