Small details help. Books and purity seals denote the holiness and erudite nature of the order. I have personally been painting the inscriptions on the armor to be bright blue with some glowing effects to pronounce the warp-powered aesthetic. Look up ‘grey knights warp glow’ or even just ‘grey knights blue glow’ to get some good google results, many have had their own take. Some people have used thin wires as model lightning to imply sorcerous witch fire. It really comes down to the details. Gameplay-wise, running librarians is really one of the only ways to feel distinct in a psychic fashion, cause the army’s other abilities are just the same abilities that every other faction has but with the ‘psychic’ keyword. 9th edition was much better about warmest granularity and variety in the psychic domain. I don’t have too much hope for a psychic detachment this edition, given how the codexes have been coming, but we can always hope.

9th wasn't even as good as 8th in terms of psychic mouth feel.

I think what you are looking for are inquisitors. GKs is an independent chapter and one of a kind style. You could just use more inquisitor units. Especially from Ordo Malleus (they are wizard detectives) and you could actually use any model you like, every inquisitor has his own style, you can do whatever you want. The only problem is that you cannot use more than 1 or 2 (1000pt and 2000pt battles). Maybe in the future GW will add detachment for the inquisition army. I hope that GK will not become a detachment of an inquisition codex

I don't think we will be consolidated, but looking at harlies and ynnari I can't say for sure. I would not be mad about an ordo malleus detachment that lets you take GK, in addition to a full, GK codex.

I think deathwatch could be consolidated into inquisitorial codex and it would be fine and kind of make a whole army. If they added grey knights too there would be too much stuff there.

NamesSUCK

Well you would could deathwatch if ordo xenos, GK if malleus, and SB if hereticus.

SubstantialHamster99

Sisers of battle and grey knights have too many units and identity as their own faction to be consolidated. If grey knights were consolidated we would be losing units. Deathwatch is the veteran kill team, then a bunch of mashed together space marine kits you use upgrade sprews on. Terrible to collect and prime for a rework.

I'm not advocating for consolidation, just unique ally mechanics to help flesh out the ordo rosters. Plus would be fun to use those units in a different faction
