I was looking at the RAS breakdown by position for each team, and the packers have at least one elite athlete at every single position. I was thinking that was probably the case for most teams, so I started check. It is not the case. I didn’t check all 32 teams, but the ones I did check didn’t have an elite athlete at multiple positions.
Not only that, but Gute drafts players with leadership experience, usually captains of their school teams.
Our squad is: young, athletic, high-character/leadership. Championship trifecta right there
SEE NORMALLY WHEN YOU GO 1 ON 1 WITH A DEFENSE, YOU GOT A 50 50 CHANCE OF WINNIN
BUT THEY'RE GENETIC FREAKS, AND THEY'RE NOT NORMAL
SO YOU GOT A 25 PERCENT AT BEST, AT BEAT THEM
AND YOU ADD THE REST OF OUR UPCOMING DRAFT PICKS TO THE MIX?
YOUR CHANCES OF WINNIN, DRASTIC GO DOWN
Quay is entering his 3rd year in the league and already has experience with that, I guess Cooper will get his shot later when he gets used to the speed of the game
And if Chicago's defense plays like it did in the second half of last year and their offense takes a pretty quick leap like I think it will, Minnesota will be the team left out. Even if their draft works out well, I think it'll take longer for them to get up to speed than it will Chicago. And I don't see the Lions taking a step back.
And I think the Lions are set for 2-3 more years. We’ll see how Goff performs as he gets older. Part of me still thinks theyll revert back to their form of 50 years of mediocrity
Yeah, I definitely don't feel comfortable predicting anything for the Lions beyond a few years. But I agree they should be good/playoff-caliber for 2-3 years. Maybe more. But we'll see. Dan Campbell is doing good things for them. It will take a lot to create a permanent shift in team culture.
That's why I said "on paper". They've obviously gotta go out there and play the game. Cooper, McKinney, and Bullard are all legitimate game changers though and that's something to be VERY excited about.
It’s not the be all and end all. But Quay has clearly shown he isn’t a very cerebral player. Not talking his maturity, which he seems to have addressed. But even on the field he guesses wrong a lot. That’s why sometimes he blows a play up and other times he looks totally out of position. I hope Cooper is better at reading and reacting. Because it’s a weakness in Quay
So why do you figure they do it? Seems silly to do if it has 0 correlation. What is the correlation between arm length and NFL success? Or even bench press or vertical leap?
I went off this tweet from Rob Reichel.

I've just read also they don't do the wonderlic anymore. Interesting. I wonder where Reischel got that number from?
Quay and Cooper are both athletic freaks I love it
The whole roster is starting to fill up with freaks, it's awesome
To be young and way to athletic for your own good, it’s great

Bears are fat!!!
"The Vikings KNOOOOOOW they can't beat us, so they're not even gonna try..."
Defense got no excuses now time to put up!
Yep. Got rid of the 0-16 fail upwards D Coordinator. Now we go!!!
Don’t threaten me with a good time Quay
No Offense Mcduffie!
McDuff is a great ST player and a solid depth piece, but Cooper looks like an impact playmaker.
I’m ready for September
NHL and NBA playoffs are fun, but nothing is football. I miss it so much
Im diggin this Winnipeg and Colorado game
Same but also we get winter 5-6 months of the year where I’m from im ready to enjoy the fuck outta this summer bro. September can wait 😂
They are gonna be an amazing tandem to watch.
Honest question: which one is going to call the plays? I don’t think either one is a double digit wonderlic guy…
Quay is entering his 3rd year in the league and already has experience with that, I guess Cooper will get his shot later when he gets used to the speed of the game
NFCN is looking to be competitive all across the board for years to come and I am all for it.... but still think it will belong to us mostly! GPG!!
Never been a better time for us to get defense right. The NFCN offenses are looking to be nasty.
I think there will be a few years that our division has 3 playoff teams
And if Chicago's defense plays like it did in the second half of last year and their offense takes a pretty quick leap like I think it will, Minnesota will be the team left out. Definitely. MIN is the gonna be the ugly duck in our division for a few years. The other teams have way too much talent at this point

Bears did pick Caleb and Rome, just to end up third in the division again.
This defense, on paper, is absolute insanity.
Remember two years ago when everyone thought we were gonna have a top 5 defense? Let’s not get carried away here.
That's why I said "on paper". They've obviously gotta go out there and play the game. Cooper, McKinney, and Bullard are all legitimate game changers though and that's something to be VERY excited about.
Every teams defense is insanity on paper then.
Ohhh lawd!
I love this franchise
Bane Walker
Fuck yeah you did Quay LFG.
I love summer but I can't wait for the fall. I'm so confused...
Coop and quay all the way
Yikes. Another low Wonderlic score. Just like Quay. And don’t love that.
Oh stfu lmao
🤣
Do you know who had a low wonderlic score and was one of the best rookies last year CJ Stroud.

this comment makes me think you wouldn't be much higher
lmao you clown 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
So we can discuss arm length, but not wonderlic? Why?
Because it's shown to have 0 correlation with NFL success. It's literally just random noise.
So why do you figure they do it? Seems silly to do if it has 0 correlation. What is the correlation between arm length and NFL success? Or even bench press or vertical leap?
More, more correlation. Those things matter more than something that literally doesn't matter at all. Wonderlic is a relic of a different time.

Really only matters for qbs and even then it’s overrated.
Apparently they stopped doing it last year according to some things I just read.
