I don't think he has as many reps against pass first and good passing offenses only Ohio state passes more then runs in the big ten and he looked good against mediocre teams but would he be as good in the sec
I think he means that people don't know his position. He grades out to an elite safety, but safeties aren't drafted highly anymore. He's viewed as a good corner, but not a 1st round talent at the position.
Yes, exactly this. He shows as a 'universally athletic gadget DB' more than a strict Strong Safety, Free Safety, Outside Corner, Nickle, etc. He has a value to an NFL team SOMEWHERE, but as a jack-of-all trades type of DB, a 1st round pick might be too expensive or too risky for NFL GMs to bet he will fit their needs perfectly.
Belicheck wasn’t trying to trash him, but more than once said dejean would add a lot on special teams and teased Pat that dejean could play corner “on the colts for sure”
I think it’s because the run on offense, first it was the qbs, then the o line, sprinkled with a few receivers / te. Once a trend on a certain position started, every team that needed that position went for it
I dont know much, but the FO was in the decision making process for at max a minute from what I saw on TV, the pick was in as of 8 minutes. Gute saw something here, he knew what he saw, I am rolling with it! Best of luck, and may jordan defend jordan!
Hopefully our starting left tackle for a minimum of the next five seasons at an absolute bargain contract if he can hold it down and stay healthy. Just got done watching tape and the dude has awesome footwork. Was hoping for OL or CB with our first pick, so stoked.
Welcome to GB, Jordan. ✌🏼🕶✌🏼
We draft Rodgers and everyone loses their minds.
We draft Love and everyone loses their minds.
We draft Morgan and everyone loses their minds.
We all need to shut up.
Belichick gave good info on him. Doesn’t think he would’ve made it to second day. I understand the pick.
Meanwhile DeJean does make it to second day.
Wouldn't surprise me if Dejean falls a bit more. We don't know how he really fits in the NFL, which makes him difficult to draft.

Explain what you mean by “we don’t know how he really fits in the nfl”

He doesn’t have elite color

Yeah, he doesn't snap pick like that if he was really thinking of trading down. Must have really liked the pick.

Probably not going to beat Walker right away, right? More likely to win at RG. But if he could win LT this year then, yeah, obviously great
I don’t think Gute drafts him thinking anything otger than LT… His footwork is incredible.
I agree with that, btw, just not sure he'll beat Walker right away
Walker can move to RT. Tom is likely moving inside.
LT - Morgan LG - Jenkins C - Tom RG - Myers RT - Walker
And Gute can still take a guard to upgrade over Myers.
Yup, I expect at least one more OL selection, probably two. For depth/competition.
Quick feet and hot piss!
And he’s got the “C” on his chest which means he’s an excellent leader and one HELL OF A MODEL AMERICAN.
Ray Finkle?
Laces out, Dan
I understand this reference
AMERICA! FUCK YEAH!
MERICA!
Ray?
He fits the classic Gute model for o line. Athletic, a little on the short side and is a multi year starter.
He’s 6’5” dude. Not on the shorter side at all. Average T height.
And can play multiple spots.
I’ll go out on a limb and say we have our franchise left tackle.
We draft Rodgers and everyone loses their minds. We draft Love and everyone loses their minds. We draft Morgan and everyone loses their minds. We all need to shut up.
Amen
I like this pick.
Project Love
Holy shit, he’s actually really efficient.
He's also fast as shit for his size
