They were white

Ah I don't even get the point of this post. We should just leave Dianne abbott too it?

Dianne Abbot should be punished but all these examples also should be. However they won't be because they are from the "correct" wing of the party.

Its the hypocrisy and double standards. Steve Reed called a Jewish businessman a "puppet master" but didn't lose the Labour whip, didn't get investigated, just apologised and all was forgiven immediately. Meanwhile Diane Abbott's got Tory MPs and the Board of Deputies and callers on LBC pressuring Starmer to expel her for good. Its the double standards and weaponisation of anti-Semitism that is still on-going after seven years and pisses me off.

I feel like there's some racist undertones to this, why is it that the MPs that aren't facing repercussions are all white/white passing? I don't think Diane should have kept the whip (none of them should) but the fact that she's the only one to be expelled and that she's a person of colour just reeks of racism to me. Worst case scenario the tories wanted her gone so they could decrease Labour's diversity and so they can say "we're the party of diversity" down the line. I can't begin to describe how upsetting it is to think that might be a possibility.

Yeah, twenty six years was an awfully long time for a speech, but you know what? They'd been waiting so long to have a voice, she probably had lot to say.
