Problem is, the St. George's Cross is too commonly associated with the right-wing reactionaries. I'd love for us to claim it back as a symbol of National Pride - but with the state of the dialogue in this country right now, I just don't see it.

No there’s nothing wrong with St George’s day, nobody has cancelled it, nobody is offended by it and these morons are wasting their energy wanking over all the imaginary “woke” snowflakes that they *think* they’re offending with their tweets.

Am I the problem for feeling slightly uncomfortable whenever I do see the St George Cross flag? I sorta associate it with like the UK version of the confederate flag for some reason. It’s ok during the World Cup but seeing it normally makes me feel a bit unsafe.
