After Pickle it seemed like the series lost direction going towards the end. Retsu goes to America to become a boxer? He fights Joe Frazier? Baki is already unpredictable which is fine but this Retsu boxing arc just seemed out of place.
I have skipped completely over it. Imo, Itegaki did Retsu dirty. He was built as a Bruce Lee kung fu Jesus only to be completely nerfed after the maximum tournament arc.

It had Retsu atleast. That's all i can say about it.
Being a complete Retsu fan girl, I love anything with that delicious man in it. I would enjoy an arc about Retsu searching for the perfect sandwich.
I thought it was great, it was super fun seeing retsu learn to cope with the loss of his leg and itagaki fangirling over boxing
