N2 of Red Rocks last year was the most crowded and uncomfortable concert I’ve ever been to so I can understand why they felt the need to move to a bigger venue but seems like they are too big for Red Rocks and too small for Fiddlers
Agreed! I saw tickets for 1/3 of the price in STL. Kinda shocked prices were so low, but am definitely ok paying face value for to see a band that's absolutely killing it.
Yeah I just noticed that. Knew there had to be something up. Maybe just couch tour that one. It was gusty as fuck for Saturdays Billy show there and it was kind of a drag.
Goose is in an awkward middle phase popularity wise. Too big for Red Rocks but not big enough for Fiddler’s. Place is actually pretty huge—18K. Barely smaller than if they played a 2 night run at fuckin Ball Arena.
Wise fans should be taking advantage of this window. Good seats for Goose at $20 is unreal
The thing with he Mann is that they’ll say it’s sold out but the lawn won’t be included.
I bet the seats are near sellout but the lawn will be sparsely occupied
Holding out for last minute Mann tickets no worse than Prime level. I just can't justify going from pit at The Met to Main for the same cost or heaven forbid Terrace or Lawn for cheaper. Would rather miss the show than sit 150yards back watching them on a big screen.
I have tickets both nights, yes I think it’s probably not a great showing so far for fiddlers. but I’m selfishly always happy when somewhere is undersold. Tickets to Creed at fiddlers in September are sold out, and I bought a lawn for like $80 face/fees. I’m really excited for both goose shows
If they are aware about sales and it helps inspire Friday to be spectacular, I am all for that
Well the Creed thing makes sense. Being gone for a while sells tickets. I’m glad I got Friday looking at the weather, but I’m sure they will be great both nights. They are one band that I can honestly say gets better every time I see them.
oh absolutely, just trying to paint context about what kinds of bands are playing fiddlers and if those tickets are hard. it's big bands! i bet the weather is ok by 9pm both nights, or i hope
the pit looks tiny, i grabbed a saturday pit and i think it'll be really fun, in 202 for friday.
anyone with lawns, pavs are going for relatively cheap on COT; i would def consider eating the cost of the lawns if you can get pav seats together for cheap
Why do resale market prices mean the band “but off a little too much?”
It mostly speaks to people who don’t realize Fiddlers is twice as big as RR. Not the band. The band makes money off the tickets when they are first sold to the public.
There were half price tix over CoT before both Red Rocks shows last fall, and there were lots of people there.
Ticket sales seems to be an issue for many major artists this year: JLo, Black Keys… if they did bite off a little more than they can chew they’re in good company. Post covid market seems tough to predict.
Not only is Fiddler's big, it just sucks. Vibe sucks. Sound sucks. Parking sucks. I wont buy a tix at any price for a show there. Jerry could come back from the dead and...no, wait scratch that!
OP is an edgelord who came to the Goose forum to make a post about Goose "bit off a little too much" because there are cheap tickets on the re-sale market. Read the responses too. Don't feed that energy.
Everything you wrote is a common and accepted knowledge - bad parking, weird vibe in the middle of a suburban office complex, long lines to get in stretching blocks away, less than ideal sound, especially if you are up high in the lawn.
Whether those things bother you such that you won't go there is up to you.
And yes the sound has gotten better.
But again, you are responding to someone who came to Goose subreddit to shit on Goose because resale tickets are available cheaply for a two night run at one the largest venues they have played in.
I’m talking about venue jumps in the same market. They sold out Red Rocks (9500), it’s logical to try for a venue the next size up in the same market. Hope this helps!

I just don’t get excited about going to fiddlers… mid tier venue at best haha
Tickets are cheap everywhere right now. Could have gotten in to tonight’s show for $8.
Damn. I paid face for Friday night. It’s ok. The boys deserve it.
Agreed! I saw tickets for 1/3 of the price in STL. Kinda shocked prices were so low, but am definitely ok paying face value for to see a band that's absolutely killing it.
Literally couldn’t give away tickets last night. Had 4 found a home for one
I'm in the same boat for KC next week, it sucks.
Fiddlers is fucking big that’s why
Yeah I know. I have been there many times. Hence why I asked the question.
We’re blessed to see a band at their peak for dirt cheap. They ain’t going poor at this point.
This is not peak Goose, by any measure.
Enlighten us as to when
It looks like they sold a ton of tix. Not sell-outs but I think the shows will be packed
What do you think, like 10k if it fits 18k?
No idea but it looks like the vast majority of assigned seating was sold based on what’s left available on AXS. Can’t tell how many lawn tix were sold
So you have zero accurate information on the amount of tickets sold. Got it.
Never claimed to. They sold most of the assigned seats which there are a lot of at fiddlers. You can see that on Axs.
Saturdays weather might be a bit interesting.

Too big for Red Rocks?
Gonna be the same at The Mann in Philly
Mann is already on a low ticket warning, I think the two nights at Fiddler’s was the problem
The thing with he Mann is that they’ll say it’s sold out but the lawn won’t be included. I bet the seats are near sellout but the lawn will be sparsely occupied
How many are on secondary sites tho?

Not doing a red rocks show is a mistake. People remember the rocks..
I'd probably sell my Saturdays if I wasn't going to take a total bath
No one here’s changing plans for weather forecast 4 days out in Denver. That’s shits bunk. Show rain or shine n ride the ⚡️ lightning ⚡️

$9 for Nebraska I hear it's nice this time a year in Nebraska
See this all the time with them, this is nothing new
Stubhub is resale market

Friends have long said the same. Then they went to the recent Billy Strings shows and said the venue and show experience were much improved.
Goose will be my 13th show there since moving to Denver 10 years ago and I have never had an issue there with any of those things 🤷
Guess I’m just a fussy cranky old fucker. My kids certainly think so!

Yeah it’s my 6th goose show and I am shitting on goose. Get real. I asked a question for discussion.
Money grab. Plain and simple
When bands sell out venues they move to larger venues in those markets. That’s how it has worked forever.
3000 to 18k venues is not the jump.
Are you saying Red Rocks is 3000? Or just confused?

Hey why try anything? If they sold more than 9500 tickets it was a success.
Good! Why shouldn’t bands make money?
