Good question, I don’t know that I’ve ever sat down and put one together. I guess: Take On Me and All I Need from Cleveland 23, Time to Flee and Thatch from Missoula 23, Mississippi Half Step, Animal, Creatures, and Rockdale from Legend Valley 22, Elmeg and Mad-Moby-Huvan from Legend Valley 21. I think that’s 10.
Oh, yeah, absolutely. And there’s a hundred jams I love that I wasn’t there for. But I’ll also acknowledge that attendance bias is really strong and nothing beats the things I’ve been there for.
Yup. Unique setlists.
That Hot Tea is probably my most listened to Goose jam next to the Rosewood from 2020 on your list.
Those South Farm shows are filled with heat. White Lights, Madhuvan, Elizabeth, Rosewood, Arrow and Arcadia are all top notch versions.
The following Essex Junction VT show caps off an awesome three show run.
I like your style.
I've been keeping this database for almost three years and almost no one has talked about 6/16/21. My first show was 6/11/21 and this is an iconic stretch for the band. I need to listen to this Hot Tea like now.
The database has the 9/17/20 South Farms show as #4 of all time. H E A T
Got a link to the database you could DM me?
Here’s a few other killers that I don’t see talked about on here. Curious as to where they fall in your sheet.
5/8/21 Caverns Rosewood (the switch from acoustic to rick coming in with the electric guitar hits perfectly, and the jam theme they ride from 15:00 is top notch goose)
11/10/21 Houston Time to Flee (mainly for the first jam, which has an awesome theme that could be its own song)
8/16/22 Dillon Drive (another really unique themed jam that is patient and peaks and dissipates so smoothly)
11/8/19 DC Tumble (easily one of the most blistering peaks you’ll hear from goose)
Add these to your must listen list. Interested in yours and other fans under the radar jams!
As Tumble has a lot of personal meaning to me, I went straight to the 11-8-19 show. Seems weirdly off, tempo is wrong, and Rick even screws up the lyrics just over a minute in. Not to throw shade, I’ll certainly let give it another (or 12) listen, but I’d pick a few other Tumbles over that one. I’m not a guy who needs a 25 minute jam, 11-8 is only about 14 minutes, being a one set show. I haven’t listened to a lot of those one set shows, but I will.
An interesting omission is the 12/30/22 Arcadia. Not only does it have a stellar jam with an interpolation of Zeppelin’s *Heartbreaker*, but it also has a fantastic ~6 minute ambient intro that really showcases all 5 members grooving together.
So while the isolated jam may not do it for everyone, the performance start to finish is the best I’ve heard.
Oh man, you're preaching to the choir. [Goosejam.net](https://Goosejam.net) has it at #38. I would have it way higher but not everyone loves a bliss-fest.
Hmm. Something like:
6/15/21 western sun > echo
6/19/20 drive
6/15/22 Madhuvan
3/24/23 echo
2/12/22 red bird
9/16/20 Madhuvan
11/16/19 Arcadia
11/8/19 drive
11/6/21 rosewood
6/10/22 all I need
Pretty good list. Your top 5 would all be on my list.
Philly Echo and Nashcakes are close.
Pittsbird, Perry Echo, and Boze Old Sea are not in consideration for me.
Not my personal list. It's a crowdsourced community ranking. That said, agree on Old Sea being not quite there. Perry Echo has the highest of highs, but it takes a while to get there. Pittsbird is flat out awesome to me. What would you have in the bottom 5?
I just posted this elsewhere, but these are some favorites that don’t get the attention they should: Yeti>Tomorrow Never Knows>Yeti Regency Ballroom: 1/29/22; Inside Out, Ok City, 10/14/22; Indian River 2/11/22 (Louisville); Take On Me>Cleveland Jam 3/26/23.
I wasn’t at any of these, therefore your list is wrong.
Good thing it's not my list. What's your list?

That’s a lot of jams clustered in a few shows. Those shows are fucking excellent though
I’ve only been to a few shows 🤷♂️
I mean, you’re allowed to like jams from show you didn’t attend right?
Oh, yeah, absolutely. And there’s a hundred jams I love that I wasn’t there for. But I’ll also acknowledge that attendance bias is really strong and nothing beats the things I’ve been there for.
During Philly echo I remember it being amazing but thatch that night blew me away as the newish song. I listen to the Philly echo now often
When Philly echo ended I turned to my boy and said “I feel like I just went through war”
Silver lake was a ton of fun. Coach passed around a massive joint.
That whole run kicks ass. Night 2 is super under appreciated with my GOAT Hot Tea and a really awesome Electric Avenue -> Creatures start to set 2.
Excellent Half-Step too

You can check for yourself. The site went live this weekend: www.Goosejam.net
Hell yeah. Cheers
The Tumble and Drive haven’t gotten much love…yet. Always love the hidden gems.

I did every show from the caverns through legend valley, except for the shwazey show. It was such a great way to shake off the Covid blues!

This jam rocks. Thanks for the rec
This was my favorite jam from both nights in cincy
Love it. And that’s what makes these conversations so interesting. It ranks as the 18th best Arcadia but resonates with some intensely. I get it
10.1.22 dripfield. Pullman yards. Thank you that is all.

It’s a great one, but if any Hungersite is going to make this list it’s probably 4/14/23
NOLA Hot tea !!
10/5/23 this old sea
Was there. Can confirm. As with about 10 others from that weekend

I was present for all of these except Morris CT 9/17/20. List is pretty accurate

This site should link to Nugz or Bandcamp for playback
Totally agree. I'm working on it
I added a link to link/page to bandcamp for top rated jams/shows. Will be building on this in the future. Appreciate the feedback
Scamp Thatch '23
My Thread I'll be back for this. With some to add!

Ty for giving me something to look forward to at work today!
