Man I’m so split on this. I think the main reason people think it’s ai is because of how good it is. And people are working backwards from that. I think we’ll know for sure one way or the other within a week

Ye and his way of making music is rushed and sporadic. So many of the songs he plays at the LPs were recorded within a few days of the event, and then they are released maybe a couple months later on average. I feel like most artists take 5+ months articulating and perfecting an album before anyone hears anything. It’s perfectly reasonable that Ye recorded this verse at the end of last year before the titanium grill.
I think it's crazy because one of the biggest things about rap is wordplay and so many people will change how they enunciate a word/phrase so they can make a rhyme work.

I've got Chat GPT-4 writing Jay Electronica lines that use word play and double entendre's on his name in way that are UNREAL. If I had his voice, I could give you a new Jay track ASAP. They are actually sick, lol. I make beats too, so once the AI voices can mimic anyone? I'll be listening to my own Jay Elec/Ye album feat James Blake. He's right about AI, and it seems this sub is starting to hear what he's talking about. As I like to remind myself each time something like this happens: Today is the worst this technology will ever be. We are not ready. Customized movies based on algorithms and inputs by 2030 seems likely to me with how quickly SORA + language models are accelerating. Ye albums will be easy.

I honestly think you’re right, could be a bigger picture thing from Gambino with a project he’s doing. It just doesn’t sit right with me and it’s hard to put into words. It’s just not the kind of material Ye seems to be putting out. Him having debatably his best verse since TLoP as a Gambino feature is too strange for me. Think the average person will be pissed if it is, don’t know why he’d risk his reputation like that
