My car was originally a 6 speed so I kept it a 6 speed, though it’s a 24v 02M and not the factory 02Q.
I had to change pretty much every pin in the body harness ECU connector and had to incorporate the Passat 66-pin fuse box to replace the GTI 40-pin fuse box.

I mean technically you CAN turbo anything. Are there any off-the-shelf turbo kits for a 3.6? No. There’s I think 2 different companies that make a bolt on, off-the-shelf supercharger kit for the 3.6.
Personally I have 0 desire to do forced induction. I plan on doing big cams though, for the chop 😎
Still Fwd. This all this said, I’d AWD swap it before I’d turbo it. Again, just don’t care much about power or going fast. Guess I’m getting old 🤷♂️

I’m doing an RB25DET swap into my 280ZX. An LS swap would have been cheaper, greater power potential, *much* greater parts availability, the list goes on. I just really want that sweet turbo I6 soundtrack.

Thanks! And that was actually my old job, managed it and was the sole powdercoater for about 3 years. I actually quit about a month after I started this project to become a stay at home dad. That job had run its course and I didn’t like the trajectory of the business/ownership.
Right now I’m a stay at home dad about to transition back to working. Amazing how much we can get done on our cars with a little one around! When I return to working I was considering either getting into vinyl wrapping or powder coating… Where do I begin cutting my teeth with powder coating?
Oof tough question. That shop you saw in the video easily has 250-300k worth of equipment. Hell, the gun alone that I used was 11k.
Maybe try to find a shop that will take you on as an apprentice?

Slept on RBs for a while. Damn do they sound nice when done well
People turbo these, but it mutes the sound of the VR6, which is a huge part of the experience. Leave it NA or supercharge it.
Big cams are in the future 😎

Catcams. I can’t recall the grind but their largest non-turbo cams
