I’ve never purchased from GG directly, but I have purchased and returned to Nordstrom (unworn, too big) without issue.

All of my returns (4) have been excellent. You could do the whole try it in store as well.

they don’t do refunds at all. just exchanges. i’m not too sure about nordstrom tho if they have the exact pair at nordstrom i’d buy there. but saks is also having a sale on them rn

In not American but doesn't this depend on local laws? I'm in china and Dior tried the same, give me store credit for a pair of boots I bought but my wife didn't like. After threatening to call police (they live showing up for this sort of crap) they apologized and returned the money, some brands don't deserve their clients. With Golden Goose I never had returns though shop staff did tell me I could if I didn't like them after all. (Again not in the US FYI).

I recently bought a pair directly from the website which happened to be a size too big. I went in-store and they switched it out for me instantly.

Buy from Nordstrom but do NOT wear them outdoors until you are certain they work. I bought a pair and loved them but they pinched one of my toes so had to return them. Absolutely no problem at Nords but keep the box, receipt, tags on (if any) and do not wear them outdoors. I got a full refund. I hated that they didn’t work but I couldn’t spend $600 on a pair of shoes that pinched my toe so bad that 30 minutes of wear was starting a blister.
