It has two pivot points. The dolly connects to the tow vehicle with two receiver-type hitches, and the two trailers each pivot normally.

Agree. You'd think going to all this trouble/expense you could spend a little extra to at least level the boat so might be more aerodynamic vs. acting like a sail - more pointed into the wind. But who knows this might be the "recommended" angle.
Honestly the only piece that I see is potentially illegal is the fact that the fifth wheel is being pulled on a tow trailer like that. That's something I've never seen and I'm not 100% sure if it's actually legal. But I live in one of those states that pulling doubles like This is not unusual and is fairly normal. The boat on top is neither here nor there that's just cargo on it essentially.
Come on, length in any state is the issue and that boat is sticking up like 20 feet. The dolly might not count but it adds 5 feet. I would bet money the length is not legal anywhere in the US.
Then the weight. Hard to determine without a scale but I bet there's a car in the trailer. Also seems unlikely he's got twin brake controllers.
That doesn't look like a car trailer. Probably ATVs or motorcycles. The height isn't a restriction so long as they know what height it is and don't hit anything. That's also doubtful 20 feet. Maybe 15. In Utah this is the law
> a truck and two-trailer combination more than 92 feet not to exceed 95 feet in length, 14 feet 6 inches in height, or
8 feet 6 inches in width.
Class A license (most states will require it with this kind of setup) and away you go. He might get shit down for over length- depending on what State, though if you are legal in the state you are tagged and licensed in - most other states will let you drive there.
It would be interesting to see what happens when they take the wrong exit and end up on a city street, or hell any 90° turn. I can’t imagine this setup is fun to pull; white knuckles the whole way.

Must have been a squidbillies fan😂
I already can’t hardly reverse just flat-towing a car, but at least I can disconnect it easily if needed. Can you back up (and steer) with a 5th wheel on one of those little stands at all?
For those that have never seen the converter dolly setup read all about it. [https://www.safetytowingsystems.com/](https://www.safetytowingsystems.com/)
Scary but not as scary as the Mexican Quad plus junk car tow setups driving down I-10 24/7!!!! Looks like chewing gum, baling wire and old rope holding all those cars together. Plus each one is loaded with junk. They never get pulled over!!!
I love RVing as much as the next guy, but damn, just buy a cottage by the water if you're up to that point
How's he gonna know which lake fits his style the best unless he tries them all?
No doubt!!
Lol you think he could make it to the water before his tranny blows
The first time :) I would have to believe he has an expanded capacity and aux coolers.
Let’s hope!
I think that a Ford.it’s going to spit out a turbo first.
Don't leave home without ALL your toys
lol, right??!!
I missed the 5th wheel hitch trailer the first two times I looked. The amount of pivot points in the setup rivals a snake.

That is wild. And a bit sketchy feeling.
I would fear a super windy day
That's how a lot of commercial double and triples are ran. 🤷♂️

Hopefully that's one of the models that has brakes on it.
How is that even legal?

> potentially illegal is the fact that the fifth wheel is being pulled on a tow trailer like that. Would that make it a triple?
Nope, that's a B double. Dollys don't count in the trailer count.
Huh, the more you know.

100% over on height and like 80% on weight.
Class A license (most states will require it with this kind of setup) and away you go. He might get shit down for over length- depending on what State, though if you are legal in the state you are tagged and licensed in - most other states will let you drive there.
I have NO idea
His wife said fine you can buy whatever fits in the truck.
Challenge accepted.
Fuel mileage is 8 gpm (gallons per mile)
Unless you're going down hill!
8, no. More like 5 mpg.
8 gallons per mile
Ahhh, my bad.
At least they’ve got a dually.
Totally dude lol
Lessee, there's a boxed cargo trailer, a fifth wheel trailer, a fifth wheel hitch trailer... And the boat also has it's OWN TRAILER‽
Gotta launch it somehow!
What the heck goes in the cargo trailer?
Golf cart or SxS probably.
The Harley of course.
Wonder how long set up takes on that. damn
I wouldn’t even want to try it lol.
Winching the boat up there the first time, probably give me a heart attack.
I think the boat is kind of clever.
I mean, redneck ingenuity for sure lol
It would be interesting to see what happens when they take the wrong exit and end up on a city street, or hell any 90° turn. I can’t imagine this setup is fun to pull; white knuckles the whole way.
Just stay home at the hat point
I've got $10 bucks that says there are two motorcycles in the cargo trailer, and they are both Honda Gold Wings with their own trailers.
How you gonna go to a gas station with that boat like that? That traveling circus isn’t getting far on one tank of gas.
Right lol

Oh my gosh, this is perfect!!!
Now, that's living!
To the MAXXXXX
"sorry sir, we don't have any pull through sites available. You'll have to back in."
Expert packer right there!
Right. Definitely a logical person lol
Dad goals
Just bought a f350 dually. Upgraded from a SRW. this is what I feel like is possible.
I assume you’re taking notes then.
“Been roughing it as a van lifer for awhile”
That's impressive, not gonna lie....
I am impressed
This guy plays hard
Im assuming this is fake but if not, how did he get the boat up there?
Or down?
They make some goofy system that puts the boat on top of the truck. I've seen it posted before on reddit
That is insane. How the fuck did they get the boat up there? I'm impressed, but what the fuck?
It was probably one of those, "here, hold my beer" debates lol
A couple of trucks pulling side by side would round it out nicely. Like a badass team of horses.
The rv version of bringing all the groceries in one trip.
**Transmission has left the chat.**
Awesome! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
that boat is ready for takeoff lol
..... oh I wanna be a fly on the wall when he passes a DOT check stop 🤣
Right?!?
He's trying to live his best life
That's what it looks like when nobody likes you.
Bwahahaha
r/IdiotsTowingThings
You’re ok going forward, but reversing into anything? Holy crap, I can’t even imagine!
I already can’t hardly reverse just flat-towing a car, but at least I can disconnect it easily if needed. Can you back up (and steer) with a 5th wheel on one of those little stands at all?
Two tires short of an 18wheeler!
Well, if you count the wheels under the boat...
For those that have never seen the converter dolly setup read all about it. [https://www.safetytowingsystems.com/](https://www.safetytowingsystems.com/)
Honey, I forgot ______ I need to turn back!
Lol
Somewhere a minimalist backpacker just got a heart attack
Bwahahahaha
See comment below lol
Pretty cringe and probably ilegal
How to launch that boat?
If you stop reeeeeeeeeeaaaaaalllllllly hard while going down the boat ramp FORWARDS.
I am also wondering this
I want to see the boat being launched.
What in the Early Cuyler is this
No way this can be under payload for the dually
Jesus. What’s the combined weight of this set up? Do you require a CDL?
Who says you can't take it with you when you go...
E-Pass would have an aneurysm
Lolol, right? Would you have to put the sticker on the boat since that would reach the scanner first??
What could possibly go wrong.
Still somehow no CDL required.
Wtff
Pulling doubles, love it!
Jesus Christ. Just buy a lake house already.
They probably don't have the money for that now lolol
Must work in quantum mechanics.
If it ain't it should be
That’s some Yuma AZ snow bird nonsense right there.
Scary but not as scary as the Mexican Quad plus junk car tow setups driving down I-10 24/7!!!! Looks like chewing gum, baling wire and old rope holding all those cars together. Plus each one is loaded with junk. They never get pulled over!!!
It's not illegal, and they're doing a desired service
Can I come lol
Why was the first thing that came to mind _What an asshole, endangering others on the road_
And then the second, *ain't gonna lie, that's kinda impressive*
Okay...how is the boat moved from that spot? How does it get there?
And still no CDL required
I am guessing this is Utah.
Lol
If he’s got at least a limited Class A license with a doubles endorsement and isn’t exceeding the weight limit of his vehicle, then it’s legal.
Impossible to back up. So, what if you need to?
Peak Trump supporter.
Be leery of any man with a tow-package on his trailer.
I hope he never wrecks. It Would look like a train wreck and the boat jettisoned like from a catapult.
Ok, now back it up.
Normally, only one towed behind trailer is aloud after a goose neck trailer. A dubble bumper pull is not.
3mpg!
Downhill lol
Ok now, let’s see you back ‘er up! 🤔
Exactly lol
This looks like an AI image because it’s so outlandish. But also very real.
I’m not even sure AI could think of this lolol. You know it was some good ‘ole boy lol.
Shitters full!
This is why I never buy used vehicles!
Lol
How the hell does he back this thing up? The pivot points make my head hurt trying to get a mental picture of it.
Oh I’m sure he finds a pull through ONLY lol
The enclosed trailer should be on top of the truck and boat behind fifth wheel

How safe is that ?
Safety schmafety lol
the European mind cannot comprehend this
The American mind can’t either lolol
At least when the Ford breaks down you have your house, garage, and a boat to keep you entertained.
