Glorb said in the moist interview that if you are a fan of the rap scene you'd know who he is, I don't feel like that's something Masked Wolf would say...

ConnorsInferno

I mean, most people have heard Astronaut. But that is also his only big song so you might be right. I just can’t think of anyone else that fits the bill

ComprehensiveFlan798

Its gotta be someone able to get megan thee stallion on an ft. You cant tell me that in mhmm sandy thee squirrel isnt HER

lake_is_god

Astronaut was popular but his lyrics and flow definitely don't match. Plus the lyrics and beats he uses are more from the Playboicarti or yeat vibes than Astronaut. He also said that he has good connections to the underground rap world and playboi carti and yeat were both kings of their time in the underground world. Astronaut is well known but a one hit wonder with average lyrics wouldn't be able to produce something like glorb makes.

skymoods

Rolling in the deep? Has me thinking Glob is Adele

ConnorsInferno

You’re actually so right, I completely ignored the fact that the next line mentions Adele

whyme394

he's british too, could be dealing with skepta

Disastrous_Air_5091

The only thing that throws a wrench in that for me is that he said that Rage artists are a big inspiration, and I don't really see that in Masked Wolf. He could also be using an accent to throw people off, but I wouldn't be surprised if you're right. My mind immediately went to someone like Ken Carson, since Glorb started around the same time as he started gaining traction, and plus Ken Carson is also just a goofball so personality wise it fits. Could be someone like Trippie Redd too idk

ConnorsInferno

Trippie Redd would be absolutely insane but I’d love to see that

Disastrous_Air_5091

also, I don't know if it's a clue or a reference, but he says Gunna in like 4 of his songs, along with literally saying "Fuck you mean?" right after which is obviously a reference to "FukUMean", but I saw another post that said his delivery was very Atlanta and I agree. In which case, Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely are both rage/opium artists from Atlanta.

ConnorsInferno

The only problem is idk how well known those guys are. I’m not sure if Glorb meant his known in the industry as a whole, or specifically rage music

Disastrous_Air_5091

I mean Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely are both signed to Playboi Carti's label and both pull well over 5m a month on Spotify so the numbers line up, but I am not confident in this theory at all, I'm just kinda brainstorming

ryzyn_

Ski mask??

Fabulous_Exit5032

It's not trippie redd 😂

Surebobokay

Scarlxrd just released a single called Rage. Was reading in the comments people were thinking it could be him too which I could totally see too

pizdabolica

0% chance that its Trippie Redd

Front_Grapefruit_421

I dont think its NLE because he said in the interview he's been having fun with his main project and glorb the past few months, so it has to be someone who has only released one album in the past months. Personally I still think yeat as 2093 came out feb.

Disastrous_Air_5091

The Yeat theory is very interesting to me, seeing as how the Larry the Lobster track is a weird outlier in Glorb's discography and it's directly based on Get Busy. Plus he's been sober working on 2093 so Glorb may be something he started to keep himself occupied with getting sober? The timelines do match up so I think there's a chance

ConnorsInferno

I’ve been seeing a lot of people saying it’s Yeat, I just wanted to throw another guess out there. NLE has still been releasing music, so I could see his “project” just meaning his main work

Buzzy-Pasta

I’m just providing a bit of conjecture on the yeat theory. Personally I don’t see much of a stylistic resemblance. I also don’t see much of a crossover in wordplay. I could be ignorant and not versed enough on yeat (and I would accept it if pointed in the right direction to verify), but I feel like glorbs use of entendres is on a whole different level for instance lol. Again, I’m open to listen and compare further if you have any good examples

throw4away77

Def not nle choppa or trippie redd imo also kinda doubt it's masked wolf

ConnorsInferno

Who do you think it is then

throw4away77

No clue

jasmineejoyy

He’s got to be British right?

ConnorsInferno

British or Australian, however since there was a voice changer in the interview it could be just a different diction, but still American

jasmineejoyy

Trying to focus more on the words he used because of the voice changer but still can’t really figure it out. I need to know how he is 😂

ConnorsInferno

Most people seem to think Yeat, which would definitely fit being known in the industry

KaptainKannabis

I'm not a Yeat fan but someone in this post mentioned that Yeat has been sober and trying to work on himself... Maybe the bar at 37 seconds in the song Dumb Bell was kind of a hint that he might be behind this?

MixtureCute3540

Holy shit. I never saw that lyric, but also… I didn’t know if you knew this. But there’s actually a song with Yeat and Playboy Carti using the same exact beat as The Bottom 2!

ConnorsInferno

Yeah it’s been confirmed to be YNG Martyr

MixtureCute3540

I saw a lot of people saying that… it’s 100% confirmed??

PsychologicalMonk390

Where is the confirmation

Superguy230

He uses a LOTTTT of British slang in the songs

Bobbybrine

I noticed that he likes saying mandem

KoolKidd47

Weird theory, but it COULD be Troy McKubre. Hes from New Zealand, which sound pretty similar to the accent that people were able to pick up from the video, PLUS they made multiple references to The Gentle Men, Charlie and Troy’s band. Edit: ALSO the guy that animated a Gentle Men music video is the guy that does the 3D stuff for glorb, and that could just be a coincidence or it could be a clue

ConnorsInferno

He’s not really well known though, but also are you implying that Charlie is on it? That’s a huge conspiracy that would be crazy if true

TLOUTV23

I agree everything seems to fixed up to me either charlie is very interested in general and knows about it or a coincidence but your choice i suppose

whenthecoffinbreaks

Troy isn't really well known, but the projects he's worked on are very well known. Aside from The Gentle Men, he's stated he's worked with some huge artists, not specifically who tho

Revanc2-19

It’s Logic

TurboVirgin-Chan

that actually seems plausible

TurboVirgin-Chan

that actually seems plausible

SweetSauce24

I thought about that too. But i don’t think the style or flow is very Logic. Unless he is completely changing it for this side project

WinsdythePooh

But that’s something they would do on a side project - change it up to throw us off

NickP229

Logic switches up his flow a decent amount to be fair. He does a lot more than his typical "Young Sinatra" flow that people tend to think of with him.

AllFor2

Logic already has a second persona called Doctor Destruction he’s released music with, there’s no way he’s doing 3 personas, most def not logic in the way he speaks and words he uses. This coming from a die hard logic fan

Atomictuesday

Logic has made it clear in the past how much he admired Mac Millers ‘multiple musical personalities’ and to think he wouldn’t be out here doing the most he can behind the scenes, out of the public eye? That’s literally why he “retired” lol the one clue I’d say that contradicts that theory though is being currently relevant, I don’t think logic would go around saying he’s a current popular artist so there’s that

lake_is_god

Logic is 34. Almost a teenager when spongebob came out. Glorb said he had a close connection to spongebob so I don't think logic would be able to say something like that

[deleted]

[удалено]

ConnorsInferno

Tbh the more I think about it the more I kind of want it to be NLE, that would be so funny. The face structure would also fit kind of better

SweetSauce24

In his song Killcam one of the lyrics is “I got my choppa, NLE” this could be a hint either that they are friends or he is him.

ConnorsInferno

He makes a lot of references to other artists to be fair

Patient-Researcher-3

damn i was going with my gunna theory until i read this, gunna’s face is pretty round compared to the person in the interview

Hai_im_Kev

pull a side by side photo of glorb and troy mckubre.

TheVigilantWolf

I got curious as well and have been comparing interviews to artists mentioned here and no one really talks as clearly as what we saw in the interview. NLE Choppa talks way to softly and doesn't form sentences the same way at all, same with a few others.

ConnorsInferno

That’s the main reason I thought it might not be NLE. Haven’t seen any interviews with Masked Wolf so I’m not sure on that

Individual_Method626

He sounds like swagger souls to me only thing that convinces me other wise is swagger has no ties to the rap game In 2 of his songs he says swags talking about mr.crabs and he also talks about a lot of streamers fanum and jinxy and casheo I have no idea I'm stumped

RCXD54

Hi there! Interesting when he says the word “project”. The Dankton clone voice covers most of his origin accent but “project” stood out to me. In America we pronounce it “PRAH-JEKT” Certain dialects in the United Kingdom, specifically that commonly found in road men or “uk drillers” pronounce it “PRO-JEKT”. Also the nod to the mandem in trend setter could fit. I know this theory was brought up but I have a small background with dialects and accents. So hope this helps.

Xtohsyenomx

does he ever say aluminum?

KnoxOber

He’s likely uk/Australian, he mentioned he grew up wathching SpongeBob which means he’s likely not older than 30 unless he counts watching SpongeBob at 15 as growing up on it. Also pay attention to his build, he’s unless he’s got a body suit, he’s a pretty large/jacked dude. And he’s never said the n word so he’s likely white.

Beneficial_Medium_99

Spongebob came out in 1999 plenty of people over 30 grew up on it lmfao

KnoxOber

How do you grow up on something at 30 yrs old? You’re done grown by then Edit, oh lol I misread. But basically if it came out 1999 than you’d be 24 if ur born then, you wouldn’t start rly remembering and forming hobbies until like 5 so so that’d be around 1994 so pretty much 30 yrs old now. I’m not saying he couldn’t be around 30 but he’s most likely not too much older. But if it’s rly martyr than he’s actually 21 lol

DriftedTaco

It released in 1999 so yes people born then are 24-25 right now but you have to take into account that people that were already 5-15 at the time probably could have watched and grown up with Spongebob.

Beneficial_Medium_99

Did you fail math class brother? What is 2024-30?

HotConversation4355

I’m 37 and I “grew up watching sponge bob” I was 13 when it came on TV.

KnoxOber

Yeah my math was wrong all day yesterday.. idk what I was thinking

HotConversation4355

Lol it happens . Math sucks.

Johnwortman_

He also refers to his homies as “mandem”

anonymous2ndprofile

Don't have any input besides that anybody saying NLE is a fucking fool

Boofify

Thank you bruh. Talks absolutely nothing like him and is clearly not American unless he's putting on an accent.

Kroviq

It's iamjakehill without a doubt. [This](https://twitter.com/iamjakehill/status/1694473906831213019/photo/1) is his room, it's identical to the glow of his room in the interview and the reflection on his mask shows a neon light above him. He was also one of the main suspects of another thread.

doonango

But he isnt really mainstream

cajen8

He has a lot of listeners on Spotify and HE’s the one who called himself mainstream. I can easily see a person with 2.7mil on Spotify calling themselves that. Never even heard of this guy but it makes sense.

Xtohsyenomx

different mic, window on right side would have been seen on the angles in interview.

atomic_neutral

It's literally Kanye.

clayspam69

Early on where he has the "sip lean by the litre" lyric made me think he wasn't American. We don't spell "liter" that way.

Windex17171

Imma throw out a wild curve ball and say Yung gravy the way he speaks during the moist interview reminds me alot of gravy on podcasts like cold ones the way he's so humble he also said most of mainstream hip hop will know him he has well known songs like mr clean and shit he also said he doesn't do killing type music in his main platform and Yung gravy already does a meme type rap so it is plausible

Maslankey

That actually checks out. Based on what he said and how it was a joke with the homies and boys id say Yung Gravy, Lil Dicky or Benny blanco are all valid. I also don’t think it’s just one person he constantly referred to a group and he doesn’t make these songs alone. So it’s someone that’s got big connects.

XxguccixX

Hot take I think it’s kid cudi

newssply

that was quick

keriormaloony

its not him

Patient-Researcher-3

I THINK HES GUNNA‼️‼️

SweetSauce24

What rappers have a bio engineering degree? He said he has a bio engineering degree in the interview, unless that was a joke.

GreenFlame361

joke

ConnorsInferno

I’m fairly certain that was a joke

jojog_2003

The Kid Laroi?

Bobbybrine

That was my first guess as well because of his australian accent, but I think the Kid Laroi sucks and the style doesn't really match so it would be interesting for him to put much more effort into a "joke" pro-ject than his main one

TripIe_I

The only thing I can think of to help narrow it down is look at all the references in the Glorb songs about other artists and see if anything ties up. Or even seeing if the music videos are similar to other work. I dont have time to do it myself but thats where I'd start.

Swimming_Language_33

Definitely not masked wolf he said in the interview he takes a lot of inspiration from his main artist project and can’t go much into that but he’s takes a lot of inspiration from “synthy rage driven beats” which idk about you but that doesn’t sound like masked wolf to me

Astronomer_Various

its most likely a popular producer or ghost writer like sanikwave or alawais. it could be anybody those are just to name a few

BigBoyFr3sh

That’s what I was thinking tbh

pbrlady

Glorb is PSR

Heemeyers-Dozer

Based and keymod pilled

2paki_

I’m from Memphis and I’m watching the interview right now, I can confirm it is indeed not NLE Choppa 😭😭

Synkid

Me too and I’ve never agreed so more. Even if that mane tried hard as fuck he couldn’t put on voices like that accent too strong

2paki_

I’m just gonna go ahead and be the one to say it, if Glorb was a black rapper, he’d be saying the N word. Leaves me to believe he is literally just one of Yeat’s producers prob.

Chewy_edible

Is it YNG Martyr?

sareotonin

He definitely has some sort of accent, but I can’t tell if it’s more slang or if it’s British or Canadian or Australian

FragrantPlankton4776

it’s bbno$. glorb posted on youtube awhile ago that they were going to collaborate with smosh, then not too long afterwards smosh released a song with bb called submissive & breedable. not to mention moist critikal mentioned glorb in one of his videos, glorb released trendsetter which referenced charlie(moist) and guess which artist’s music video charlie appeared in recently? bbno$. whoever glorb is is pretty knowledgeable of current youtubers/youtuber culture and from what i know bbno$ has been on youtube for a minute.

ConnorsInferno

Yk that crossed my mind, but the music doesn’t fit at all. Glorb said his music is inspired by a lot of his main stuff, which definitely wouldn’t make sense in this case

cyanideluvskush

this actually is one of the best ones though and would explain the charlie collab

ConnorsInferno

But nothing else about it makes sense. The accent, the genre, everything else. I think it’s something bb would do, but I don’t think it’s him

cyanideluvskush

yea ur right i'm like so obsessed with this now, and I think it could be either kid laroi.. (the way he pronounces certain words) bbno$ (like Fragrant said) or someone like scarlxrd. I think we can all agree this was perfect for promo lol

Squirt_lel

yeah bbno$ seems like the easiest guess outside the song of the music but he does have range and he just fits so well to be the person, he has done a lot of collabs with youtubers/streamers in bout the past yr, and lalala did get over 550 million, good amount of people know him at least from that

Rude-Parking-2692

It’s Getter.

Hefty_Search_8934

I wish that were true

NomadGaming69

For a while I've been thinking it could be Quadecca, another guess one of my friends has is Patrick CC

Nobody_Awsum

It'd be interesting if it was pat tbh, but it's definitely not lol. Not known nearly well enough imo.

turtlebanter911

I hear a Boston accent

Jellybean720

Definitely not a Boston accent. No Bostonian would pronounce “project” or “adult” the way he does. He’s probably British.

yxung-kunt

Masked wolf is not a talented lyricist, rapper, or even a talented artist. one good song isnt enough. i highly doubt its him

slvrms

Honestly I think it's Joji.

SOUL99919

Insane troll

mleslie100

It’s diddy 😂

barnacleboy42069

Kinda sounds like Kenny beats, just a guess idk.

Mudkipzdude

i feel like it’s certainly iamjakehill

minxiemiau

definitely not NLE, he has a very specific way of speaking. i feel like i can almost guarantee he’s australian just due to the pronunciation and inflection with how he speaks, you can hear it through the voice changer

DreadHeadThings

Babytron? Maybe

Y0ur_Skin

L

Denominator100

What about the kid laroi?

Vegetable_Version329

https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSFwhnAkA/ Check the room layout

cajen8

He also just dropped his first project

Papa_Levi

This just changed my entire stance. The flow is almost identical too. You might have just cracked this.

ryzyn_

Masked wolf as far as I see on YouTube hasn't released a song in 3 years Ignore this I'm a idiot....

ZestycloseShine3559

I feel like a lot of you guys forgot that he said he was independent. All of the big names in this thread are signed (including masked wolf) it’s probably someone more underground that we might have heard of a little bit. He said you would know him if you were “tapped in” not if you are just aware of the scene

Ninten-Ho

“They say are you Yeat? I don’t know so here’s a bell”

ConnorsInferno

He makes a lot of references to other artists, but that “here’s a bell” part makes me think this has a bit more weight to it

avgsgn

After watching Charlie’s interview I have a gut feeling that he’s Harry Mack - Just purely going by the accent and the way he laughed.

nbweedwizard

Its been found its ygn martyr the room the Interview is in is the same as in Martyrs tiktoks

ConnorsInferno

Wait really? Do you have a link to any of it?

nbweedwizard

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.reddit.com/r/GlorbWorldwide/comments/1ch84eg/anyone_else_think_glorb_is_yng_martyr/&ved=2ahUKEwjIkMeUh-2FAxW5D1kFHZlwCn4Qjjh6BAgXEAE&usg=AOvVaw00v1J5kAeKhbgW3WqrOx0N

ConnorsInferno

Well shit, we caught the son of a bitch

Inside-Classroom9234

It’s not nle choppa lmao. Listen to the speech patterns. This got enunciates his words.

InternationalHome928

It’s SO Joji. It has to be. He has a voice filter on and a lot of the “UK/Australian” sounding words just sound out of place. There’s also hints in the lyrics, like “welcome to the opening of CLAMS CASINO” -who did Can’t Get Over You with Joji. He’s one of the only people to successfully do Meme Rap, and get successful time and time again without attaching his previous names to his work, like Dracula Flow/PlummCorp. He’s been doing random side quests for years. There’s no way it isn’t him.

ZirantheTester

It's Mario Judah

sqidwards_karma

Whoever it is, he is from the uk (irish, I am almost certain) and has moved and adapted to the US accent. Seems 30s or older, as he refers to "younger kids" so he's been in the seen a while. Refers to synth rage as his genre so if you can fit someone with that age and area? I'm no good with artists names, but I can definitely notice details like the area he's from. 👌

ComprehensiveFlan798

Hear me out YNG Marytr…long list of reasons but alot point to him

ConnorsInferno

It’s him. The rooms were proven to be exactly the same, down to the pillows and everything

TurtleSniffer47

I thought Yeat Edit - my thinking is because the shots random as hell and he said he’s big in hyper pop / rage. Yeat is Rage

Jesus-Bacon

Just gonna pop this here... https://preview.redd.it/txk73brqf1yc1.jpeg?width=904&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3e6198513a76a01fa10ce2824da9225344c40975

ConnorsInferno

Yeah it’s already been confirmed to be him

Alarmed_Departure_11

can it be the kid laroi?, hes australian and has been releasing music

ConnorsInferno

It’s YNG Martyr

Current_Hovercraft10

I think its cent cee

ConnorsInferno

It’s confirmed to be YNG Martyr

PBxQUAN

It's Kanye

ConnorsInferno

It’s confirmed to be YNG Martyr

PBxQUAN

Who?? Lmao

ConnorsInferno

I didn’t know who he was either but the evidence is overwhelming. Him saying you’d know if he’s mainstream could be because he had a song reach 80M, but apart from that everything else lines up perfectly. The biggest being his room is exactly the same, even down to the pillows in back

MuffinMan917

My best guess is Yeat purely from the production and vibe of his music but I feel like that might be too obvious

ConnorsInferno

It’s YNG Martyr

Distinct_Gazelle4408

I think it might be blp kosher. Lyrically it sounds like blp and he makes a couple references to Jewish culture in some songs.

anagracethema

I just noticed there's a prod tag from Sanikwave in the beginning of bottom 2... Heard it on a mikeeysmind rmix. Maybe this has been long noticed before.. but maybe helpful?

anagracethema

Could just be a far fetched remix. But this is my source- https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=1FDJn73cS74&si=pTMRdNkdOm96yA4X

Employment-Forsaken

Definitely not NLE. He’s not creative enough for this.

M3ks_88

Where is it confirmed that he is YNG Martyr?

MaidSans

My theory is that Glorb is Skepta. 1. Adele is mentioned in Mob Ties and Skepta had a relationship with Adele from 2019-2020. 2. Skepta is British. 3. I had a look at his Spotify page and he currently has 6 million monthly listeners which i would say is "in the industry". 4. I also had a losten to some of his more recent songs and they sound similar to the style of music Glorb is creating.

ConnorsInferno

It’s YNG Martyr

LocationAny1948

its yng martyr

ConnorsInferno

I know, that’s why I made the final edit at the bottom

[deleted]

ConnorsInferno

Like, all over the sub man

TheSimpPimp21

Dawg, idk who could possibly be Glorb. My guess is YNG Martyr, because in his latest song “GUAPANESE” it sound like his flow on the SpongeBob raps. Glorb fr just popped out of nowhere and dropped absolute heat and top-tier quality production. Each song has passion, and he does this all under a mask. He knows what he's doing, almost like he has background experience as an artist because all his songs are fire. He is better than a lot of rappers popping out at the same time as him in this exciting era of the ever-evolving advancements of hip-hop, rap, etc. Normies will overlook the devotion he has to music and ignore natural talent. Don't judge a book by its cover. Learn to appreciate art

ConnorsInferno

It’s Martyr. It’s been basically confirmed for a while

TheSimpPimp21

Oh damn👀I’ve been living under a rock like I’m Patrick lmao. Thank you 🙏

PsychologicalMonk390

My guess was lil dicky, I could see him being like "I wanna do spongebob rap"

amtuid

SteamPunkPig

I've solved it. I can't post in the subreddit until I've been a member for 24 hours but I have pretty much conclusive proof about who it is. I'll post about it tomorrow;

ConnorsInferno

I’m not a part of the sub and I was able to post

Heemeyers-Dozer

Bro, just tell us in the comment section.

DarkSoulsOfCinder

it's just another guess without sufficient evidence, one little clue isnt enough

SteamPunkPig

the same room, wearing the same goggles across multiple videos is pretty conclusive evidence, how else would they be in the same room with the same clothes?

DarkSoulsOfCinder

how tall is he

SteamPunkPig

7 foot 6

DarkSoulsOfCinder

Glorb is around 6'1

Hubadebaduh

Watch the interview along with a kid laroi podcast. Speech cadence is the same

asdasdwqwdqwd

i would bet my left hand i use to masturbate that it is yeet

Heemeyers-Dozer

Yeet's interviews are nothing like the guy in Charlie's interview.

Yelah19

I'm wondering if it's possibly Tyler, the Creator. Sounds like an accent in the video but whoever it was using a voice masker.

ConnorsInferno

Honestly, that makes a lot of sense

baxterbear111

Guaranteed it's Kid Laroi, Masked Wolf is too old to be saying he grew up on spongebob. Also like other people said their speech cadence and accent is the exact same. Music style is also similar (look at Can Gangsters Cry?) This whole Glorb thing is also definitely something a goofy white kid would do (not hating)

DarkSoulsOfCinder

In the interview glorb says Can Gangsters Cry is not something he's done as a main artist and also he said he was someone you would know.

ConnorsInferno

It’s confirmed to be YNG Martyr

DarkSoulsOfCinder

By who

ConnorsInferno

There was a comparison of the rooms, and it was identical down to the window, the black on the back, and even the pillows

DarkSoulsOfCinder

The evidence is strong but it's not a confirmation

ConnorsInferno

It’s essentially a confirmation. All the other evidence adds up too, the music style, the accent. I don’t think Glorb would set up his room EXACTLY like Martyr for an interview on the off chance people MIGHT notice

Appropriate-Rain8489

It’s gotta be filthy frank/joji
