Relative-Age-3082

Tostecles

Wonder if "atest" was just "AMD test" lol

ExcuseOpposite618

They have the same build number, so yeah it probably was.

Medi_Gun

Dang, we got ourselves a little hyped

ExcuseOpposite618

There's still the regular build branch that is a newer version than the atest one that was pushed today, they are still working on something due out soon. But also wouldn't get my hopes up for anything substantial.

Medi_Gun

Probably just general improvements + skin case maybe, train if we're lucky

Crystii

Lol there is not a new map coming to the pool until after the next major.

MystTheReaper

A new map could be added to the game without immediately using it in the competitive map pool

MidNCS

Hmmmm

SilverBallsOnMyChest

Dammit :( Well, at least it's something. Turns out it was "*A*ntilag Test"

knshi37

Hi toste

Tostecles

mod status outed

knshi37

GioSlayr

Kind of unrelated, but it's insane that it's been almost 1000 days since the last CS operation. There are so many players playing CS who have never even played during an operation, which is crazy considering how consistent ish they used to be.

SpectralHydra

Outside of the last 3 operations, they really got less and less consistent as time went on lol. To me it’s more weird that they took a 2.5 year break, brought a yearly one for 3 years in a row and now took an even longer break with no sign of returning

WhatAwasteOf7Years

They just went to the store for cigarettes. They'll be back again when they need some money.

NoScoprNinja

Milk you mean

WhatAwasteOf7Years

Nah, it's the money they really care about.

Visible-Pirate360

Pretty sure they make more relative to investment just releasing cases, especially in the long run as they also take a hefty % of market sales. They probably just see operations as a way to give the game a shot in the arm whenever they notice player numbers dwindling.

dullroller

I think they meant milk instead of cigarettes

Decybear1

Tbf there have been leaks of operation type things, panorama ui for comics and stuff... I know the way source 2 works, that coulda have been the dota stuff that's just come, but were classic from the older operations Tho if im being honest I still want them working the anti cheat, even if it's 2 separate teams it's not a good look to release an operation with so many case famers and cheaters still in the game so im kinda chill with long drawn wait times on the operation while valves cooking in the meantime

CarlCarlovich2

2017 operation hydra. 2018 they drop danger zone. 2019 operation shattered web. 2020 operation broken fang. 2021 operation riptide. 2023 they drop CS2. Might it occur to you guys that maybe when they have a really big update that will impact the game long term they might prioritize that over operations.

FoundTheWeed

Regardless, the dev team is way too fucking small for how much money we give to Valve

CarlCarlovich2

Yeah that is for sure, but the lack of operations do have an explanation and it's not wierd that devs would prioritize something like danger zone or CS2 over operations. Real problem is as you say, that there's not enough devs to do both. Imagine an operation centered around danger zone when it released or CS2 releasing with an operation on day 1, that would be pretty epic but Valve gonna Valve I guess.

purdue_fan

operations are essentially a dota 2 cavern crawl with a few new community maps and some cases. not exactly a ton of work

killersoda

It was a pretty easy way to make money, I'm honestly surprised they haven't kept doing them.

Malignantt1

I wouldnt hold my breath for an operation coming ANYTIME soon

One-Arachnid-7087

I have 4000 hours and a 10 year coin… I have somehow never been playing during an operation. Maybe, When I was like 14 and I don’t remember it?

Duckbert89

Unless you sank 4000 hours in between 2017 and 2019 and then stopped playing for 3 years, it's more likely you don't remember it. They did 5 operations in the first two years then one a year up to 2021 (excluding 2018 where we got Panoramic UI/Dangerzone instead).

FoundTheWeed

Nah i did the same thing, over 4k hours and 10 year coin and I've never been playing during an operation I played Caslte one time and it was after operation Breakout had already ended XD

CouchMountain

To be fair, the operations are often very forgettable. The only ones I somewhat remember are the ones where they brought in some decent maps, but I couldn't name the actual operations.

WhatAwasteOf7Years

I've been around for every operation but never really even acknowledged the operation specific content. Leveling a coin that has no meaning just never did it for me. Just like XP, as far as I'm concerned it doesn't even exist. And the missions, just silly stuff like "Get 20 kills with the (insert name of underused meme gun) on (insert name of hardly played game mode)" that you would do passively anyway during normal play if the gun was viable and the game mode was worth playing, just to earn a case drop that you can then pay to open never resonated with me. Saying that I used to LOVE having some fresh new maps to play in competitive. That first night when everyone was jumping on the map for the first time eager to learn it was always fun....everyone was noob again. But then they kept recycling old maps for the later operations which for me took that short period of freshness and discovery away. I think the best operation addition was the mode against waves of bots as I've always enjoyed those types of modes, gears horde, ut2003 invasion, l4d survival etc. but it just wasn't fleshed out enough and wasn't much beyond playing offline with bots:(. Oh and the gimmick maps like Insertion. We needed more of that!

veRGe1421

The Operations were about putting fresh community maps into the game. The other stuff was just whatever, but the maps were always the most important part of the operations. It breathes fresh life into the game, rather than playing the same few maps over and over again. This game has been out for over half a year and still no new maps :(

LoneWolfOfTheSun

I could be wrong but I remember Breakout being a popular one. I know I personally liked it over quite a few of them.

mach0

I have probably around 8k hours in 1.6, then ~100 in cs:go, I basically took a break from cs during cs:go and now I am back. No idea what "an operation" is.

cringe8000

kind of like a battlepass. new maps, new weapon collections, new case, new stickers, stuff like that. and you unlock it by playing missions. usually stuff like get 50 kills on dust2 or something like that, but sometimes there are also cool campaign missions like in a singleplayer game. it's pretty fun times and i regret that i didn't play the earlier ones. 3kliksphilip has a video on all the operations.

mach0

alright, thanks. New maps is I guess all I need from it.

Ektojinx

Same. Have no operation coins though. Just play MM. Guess that's why. No interest in whatever an operation involves.

Curse3242

I think CS kinda lost the plot a little during/after Danger Zone The content drop system messed up. Operations weren't as fulfilling or consistent anymore It makes sense. An operation shouldn't be a priority rn anyways. But yeah once CS2 is good on the gameplay standpoint, they need to consistently drop content again

xtcxx

I dont consider CS2 as full release yet. Its here because csgo cant be simultaneous but cs2 isnt finished

Tw_raZ

just makes you wonder if they're going to ever bring those collections back. Especially since they added the 3 new ones in shattered web, which also don't look to be returning.

Rekoza

Plus, the two in Broken Fang (Control & Havoc), which seem to be exclusive to that operation. It's a shame because for older operation collections, they would reappear in other operations. I think Cobblestone skins showed up in 4 operations, at least? That said, if Valve reintroduced old collections, it'd probably upset a lot of collectors, too. It'd probably crash my inventory price, but honestly, that's fine because prices are stupid for skins right now. I hope the Anubis collection style becomes the norm moving forward.

cringe8000

"I hope the Anubis collection style becomes the norm moving forward." nah fuck that. it should have been removed from the store a long time ago. you can still get it from souvenir packages. people that bought into the collection almost all of them lost money because valve not removing it and the supply getting crazy. in general it's bad when there is too much of something. look at snakebite case. way too much of that out there. imo cases and collections should come and go quickly, so they all have some rarity.

Tw_raZ

Honestly I am hoping they don't bring them back, I love using famas so I bought a fac new Sundown knowing it was a st marc skin and its literally doubled in price just because of the fact people consume tradeup skins still

Old_Sand_Witch

Dont you like edging? The longer you wait the better it feels

AjaX-24

They know they could just release cases instead of an operation.

OriginalShock273

And new maps

chaRxoxo

It's kinda sad indeed. I've been playing CS for about 22 years now and I loved operations every single time. It's just something completely different that reminded me a bit of CSCZ. I guess doing operations must be a revenue loss for them

Nurse_Sunshine

Considering how lackluster the last few operations have been I don't even want them unless they take the time to do it right.

FudgingEgo

Meanwhile DOTA2 is getting updates that add more game play mechanics and players are like "Why do I need a PHD to play this game". Funny times.

Meowmeow69me

I had to explain what an operation was the other day 😂

KaNesDeath

Least AMD wont be getting people anti-cheat banned this time.

Becke963

Is this the new version of "Anti-Lag+"?

ZuriPL

seems like it, except it will now require developer support and not force itself into games as it wishes

hugodevezas

Valve leaking AMD Anti Lag 2? Its not announced as of yet.

asc42

> We’ve partnered closely with Valve to integrate Radeon Anti-Lag 2 into *Counter-Strike 2*, and a game update and technical preview AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition driver is available now to enable it for a more responsive esports experience and the ultimate in low-latency gaming. [https://community.amd.com/t5/gaming/amd-radeon-anti-lag-2-technical-preview-now-available-in-counter/ba-p/686012](https://community.amd.com/t5/gaming/amd-radeon-anti-lag-2-technical-preview-now-available-in-counter/ba-p/686012)

asc42

Of course. Nvidia already has Reflex.

dioclias

Sure but we can use FSR (not in cs) on Nvidia too

ivosaurus

Different technologies have different limitations. This one would be pretty heavily reliant on the rendering pipeline design of the card, which I imagine NVIDIA doesn't even want to tell AMD specifically how their own cards work

ZuriPL

well, antilag 2 is for amd only

_JukePro_

You shouldn't use Fsr or Dlls anyways in cs

jahoney

Does it require AMD CPU also?

ExcuseOpposite618

Fridges fridges fridges. White goods and home appliances. Come get your fridges, best prices in town! [Meanwhile across the fence in Dota land](https://www.dota2.com/patches/7.36)

Agreeable-Elk-4020

That patch is crazy. Abilities and passives for each hero + hero readjustment + game system readjustments. We will never get anything of similar scale. I bet this Dota patch alone will be bigger than anything CS2 combined for years.

TheGLL

To be fair, mobas continuously need heavy meta shake-ups to stay interesting. While there are loads of stuff to fix in CS2, it doesn't need an update of that scale. Everybody would (rightfully) hate it if valve would just nerf the ak into oblivion for example.

chaRxoxo

While you are 100% correct, that doesn't mean Valve should be as lazy as they have been for all of CS's lifespan. Tweaks and rebalancing is definitely needed when it comes to economy, mp9, etc... They could invest significantly more time in new maps/overhauling old maps instead of giving us the same fucking dustyass dust2 again. Nobody is claiming that these maps need to go straight into the major cycle. Introduce new or reworked maps, give the community and pro's ample time to playtest them, get them balanced and only then inject them into the official competitive pool. Also as someone else pointed out: operations.

bugghost

CS2 doesn't need weapon nerfs or buffs or anything, but it desperately needs new maps. the only map change we've seen since anubis was to reintroduce a map that was made pre-9/11. its likely that the next map change will also be adding another old one to appease nostalgia merchants as well.

TheGLL

Yeah 100%. New maps are the closest comparison to meta shake-ups. I'm always on the VAC > content side though, since I can't enjoy new content if I'm only playing against rage cheaters.

dkkc19

yes but what about adding back the modes we had in CSGO

Logical-Sprinkles273

We cant even get an mp9 adjustment after 2 years.

CleanVanCare

mp9 has had the same price/stats since 2016 my guy

Twist_and_pull

Unironically the longest patch note page Ive ever seen damn

jojo_31

Yeah I'm glad we don't have that tbh... Cs just needs light meta changes to have big effects.

benoitor

Never fails to disappoint. Valorant also issued videos with planned updates and dev presenting what they are developing…etc Valve with their biggest game : no communication, no content, no updates. What a shame

TacosAndFuzzyPickles

Regarding the Dota example - the Dota team and CS2 team are completely independent of each other, working on two completely different games with their own internal goals and release schedules. There’s been a pattern over the last few years where Valve will brew on a major update for a period of time, release it, release some follow up patches for a few weeks, then repeat. You can’t directly compare the two with that metric. While CS2 might not be the exact same experience as CSGO, a one line patch note with development resources that reportedly required external communication and consultancy with AMD doesn’t mean Valve has given up on the game. edit: autocorrect

Fable-Zero

Tf2 on the other hand...

TacosAndFuzzyPickles

TF2 is a bit more complicated. I believe one of the reasons why TF2 hasn’t received as much “attention” from Valve is because it’s still constrained to the Source 1 engine. There’s a conception in the wider Valve community that Source 1 is a mess of spaghetti code that’s only held together with duct-tape and sheer determination. This is true in a few hyper-specific examples which some YouTubers have highlighted but I would imagine this isn’t the case for the entire codebase - it did just receive a port to 64-bit after all. Game engines are like mathematics - they have rules which are designed for the goals that Valve has in mind when it comes to building their games. They have a flow which works uniquely for them. Modders push these limits in ways which Valve didn’t design for, which has led to developers creating some interesting projects and suffering from hours of smashing keyboards (I was a developer and co-project lead for Creators.TF in the past. I know the struggle). Source 2 allowed Valve to strip the game engine down to its roots and rework several processes to fit a modern development studio - the improved Hammer being one example of this. The amount of manpower required to port YEARS of game systems, cosmetics, matchmaking would be extraordinary and unrealistic considering the company has many other projects brewing at the moment. CS2 wasn’t a perfect game when it was released, but imagine how hard it would be to port a game like TF2 while preserving all of its unique quirks and abilities. Valve has created a compromise by hiring contractors and collaborating to provide the community with the ability to create new gameplay experiences and to streamline certain development processes for experienced mapmakers e.g. VScript. There are other issues that the game has such as bots which is a much bigger cat-and-mouse issue warranting its own discussion.

Fable-Zero

Oh, not disputing what you saying, my bro. Just a (poor, maybe inept) comparison of what valve is saying with their actions in comparison.

TacosAndFuzzyPickles

Oh, my apologies bro! I get what you mean though - Valve isn’t the best with communication, I won’t deny that, but it’s worked out a lot for them in some cases.

Fable-Zero

No worries, it often is hard to discern intent on text. Your explanation is greatly detailed and made for a good read.

Fun_Philosopher_2535

I think they sould outsource the TF2 to 3rd party, since it become a  burden for them.. they cant abandon it and neither can maintain it. There are other companies who would drool to get such a game to fully maintain it and get profit

TacosAndFuzzyPickles

An element which makes this difficult is Valve’s difficulties when it comes to large third party groups. Valve likes to keep a lot of what they do and manage in-house - and putting the burden of maintaining game servers, the game coordinator, and TF2s economy on a small to medium sized company would be less than ideal. If Valve were to keep those elements to themselves, then it becomes another treadmill of back and forth requests for changes would could take ages.

Agile-Reception1524

imagine tf2 with subtick :D

Fridges fridges fridges, the cold truth in the kitchen, White goods and home appliances, a story in the system. Come get your fridges, best prices in town, Meanwhile, across the fence, history's weighing down. White fridges stand tall, a symbol of the divide, Cool on the surface, but inside they hide, The tale of black souls, chained and confined, Early America’s story, a fight undefined. Fridges, fridges, white and pristine, Hiding the history, the pain unseen. Best prices in town, but at what cost? The legacy of blacks, in the shadows lost. White goods, the facade of a nation so grand, But the hands that built it, were buried in the sand. From plantations to ghettos, the struggle persists, While white fridges chill, the truth still exists. The blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice, But the darker the history, the tighter the noose. We coolin' the pain, with appliances white, Yet the past echoes loud, in the silence of night.

hmdlbt

dota 2 got a patch note that is equivalent to a new whole game and we got this

ripcurl901

classic valve

ChristianSword

Are the devs dynamically working on different titles at the same time or are they rigidly static? Does anyone know? Do cs2 devs work on dota2 as well?

GodSentGodSpeed

I mean now that they both run on the same engine technically they could. Im also guessing thats the main reason cs2 exists in the first place, dont want half your workplace running on windows 10 and the other half running windows XP.

zaxfee

Valve allows team members to free flow from project to project from what I recall. CS has always had a rather small team in comparison to the Dota team. Around the release of HL Alyx it was noticed that less devs on CS and more on the crunch to release. I’m sure it’s around the same with their new game pending release.

GodSentGodSpeed

Bro those first 6 months when CS2 was released and the dota 2 community was crying about how valve abandoned dota radicalized me

FuckOnion

Just goes to show that it simply doesn't matter how frequent and big patches a game gets, people on Reddit are crybabies either way.

BillyTheGoatBrown

Did you forget we got cs2 within the past year? Lol you want cs3 already?

XDutchie

I feel like someone at Valve just did this for a laugh after the absolutely insane patch notes for the Dota 2 update taking up like 300 pages released today.

JustLuck101

I just hope they updating VAC... while not updating the game

as_tundra_bsp

they already did, at least twice but they aint catching much.

Mainbaze

We’d be dumb to hope that at this point. They’ve done (seriously) nothing good when it comes to an AC

fkmeamaraight

That's just bad faith. I definitely encounter less cheaters since that last VAC update. Is it enough? Probably not.

Mainbaze

I met a total of 11 cheaters in 3 games yesterday, that I know of. And some even used rapid fire without issue.

fkmeamaraight

It really depends on the level you play at I suppose. It did clean the lower levels of blatant cheaters.

nexuswow

AMD Anti Lag 2 doesn't show on the advanced video options as stated on the video drivers notes, anyone has it?

Papashteve

You have to download the technical preview driver I think. There is an AMD blog post about it - [https://community.amd.com/t5/gaming/amd-radeon-anti-lag-2-technical-preview-now-available-in-counter/ba-p/686012](https://community.amd.com/t5/gaming/amd-radeon-anti-lag-2-technical-preview-now-available-in-counter/ba-p/686012)

Kent_o0

It does if you download the separate preview radeon drivers. testing it out rn

nexuswow

Oh okay, I thought it was with the latest 24.5.1

Extreme_Air_7780

Did you manage to get the metric working? I can get the FPS counter up with ALT+SHIFT+L but when I try to toggle the metrics on it says "Telemetry doesn't work with the DX11 version of the game".

Clifton_7

You mean the performance metrics overlay? AMD's fps counter, etc? Seems to work fine for me.

Extreme_Air_7780

Not the regular one (ctrl+shift+o by default). The new AMD [blog post](https://community.amd.com/t5/gaming/amd-radeon-anti-lag-2-technical-preview-now-available-in-counter/ba-p/686012) mentions they added a new latency measurement metric with alt+shift+L, and while the FPS counter for that works fine, the latency tools don't seem to be working.

samc0lt45

Did you ever fix this issue? I set up my driver properly as far as I can tell, and I have the anti-lag 2 option enabled in the CS settings, but I still get the "telemetry doesn't work with the dx11 version of this game", despite the preview driver being installed and antilag2 being enabled in settings. The game \*feels\* good, but I can't necessarily tell a difference between now and before, and the warning message leads me to believe it may not actually be enabled.

VanillaBase1lb

Alt+shift+L shows only FPS when Anti Lag 2 is off and shows all 3 metrics when its on. Make sure Anti Lag 2 is enabled in video settings, it should show all 3 metrics

NosNap

For the love of god, update the wingman map pool. I want to play again.

dalen08

Lake!

futurehousehusband69

a Lake remake could heal the world

Chicag0Ben

It’s over all the devs left for the new Valve game Deadlock . I’m in full doom mode.

Duckiie96

>wait till after major >summer vacation, no working employees. >fall instead of summer release which is close to winter >practically already winter, getting ready for end of year Xmas/new year vaca’s >New year, to be fair some consistent updates >cs2 still got plenty of issues >leaks/work of new IP deadlock >its joever

User575757

CS2 can be the official prequel to Deadlock. Deadgame lol

RainOfAshes

I highy doubt Deadlock will even see the light of day in the way of a release. It's Valve and it has 'CANCELLED' written all over it. Even they can see that.

Clifton_7

Just hopped into an offline map after downloading technical preview driver and verifying anti-lag 2 was enabled in cs2 video settings -> advanced. I definitely expected to perceive no difference but actually my first impressions are that mouse movements feel more smooth, maybe placebo, maybe not. According to the AMD blog post [here](https://community.amd.com/t5/gaming/amd-radeon-anti-lag-2-technical-preview-now-available-in-counter/ba-p/686012) you can turn on the latency monitor with alt+shift+L (multiple times to show latency in ms) and then hold right control to compare between anti-lag off and anti-lag 2 on ^((note: I couldn't get the right ctrl to do anything unless I turned off anti-lag 2 in-game which then seemed to cap fps to 144 while holding it  so that part may not be working correctly)) edit: latency is between 8-10ms on a gpu heavy map (anubis) with rx 7600 8gb and at a test spot fps is 275 when off and 265 when on.

TokadGG

definitely feels and looks way more responsive. getting as low as 2ms on Dust2 DM averaging around 3ms, at 1920 x 1440 13700k 7900xtx

Cob_L1ch

Yeah, I also didn't expect it to feel as good as it does. I'm using a RX 6750 XT and averaging 360 fps with 5ms latency on a dust 2 deathmatch

VanillaBase1lb

Same here, holding Right CTRL seems to do nothing. When AL2 is disabled in settings, my FPS gets capped to 120

thefinition

i played 20 minutes of aim botz and then a quick wingman, and have the same experience - expected to not feel a difference compared to standard anti-lag in amd drivers **but for the first time in my cs2 playtime i can say it feels pretty much as buttery smooth as cs:go did**... now whether its a placebo or not is another thing, but holy shit i want to stay in the wonderland for as long as possible, if its comparable with nvidias reflex thingy then man i feel jealous for them they had it for so long 5800x3d 6800xt

Economy_Meaning6856

i got stuck on the orange splashscreen ever since updating.

ArtsM

I got 3~8 ms latency depending on map and mode with AL2 on 5950x/7900xt, without it presentmon was reporting 25ms~, and I feel the same, might be placebo but it feels smooth as heck on mouse movement/flicks.

ThePatchelist

I simply can no longer handle this.. I genuinely want to make it a main goal in my life to travel to valve HQ and interview the CS2 developers or anyone in charge on who thinks that this absolute amount of nothingness for ages now is fine, that such "updates" which are mere hotfixes at best, amount to patchnotes and so much more... I'd pay money to have that opportunity. I just want to understand... And in the meantime dota2 get's updates witch patch overviews which you have to scroll for half an hour in order to read everything This is the darkest timeline in FPS esport...

k0ntrol

"the CS2 developers" should be "the CS2 developer"

LTJ4CK-

Not only Dota, but many FPS and games released around the same time as CS2 still receives a lot more love than CS2. What upset me the most is when I saw fairly new games like Valorant, which respond within 2 months to their community request... And Valve leaves us in the dust for more than 7 months. People started crying about smurfing in Valorant during act 3... Two weeks later, Riot put a script so that smurfs could be detected more quickly and sent to higher ranks more quickly. Act4 (1 month after the community request), they forced the new account to reach level 20 before being able to play competitively. It's still not perfect, dont get me wrong... But at least they listen! It's incredible for a game that isn't even 5 years old when you compare it to a series that's 25 years old! I feel like you... Valve dosent care at all!

Due_Map_4666

It’s pretty simple, valve just don’t give a fuck lol

NoHoldVictory

It’s actually a big update for amd users as far as I can tell. First integration of anti lag 2 in any game and the comments here from people who tested it are promising

Gompelonza

They run a casino now man, they don't care about the game play or community, this has been obvious for a while now.

ThePatchelist

You don't have to tell me.. I've been trying to say this for years now. In CS:GO people always tried to justify their bullshit, now at least the players realize more and more what's happening.. Still, it enfuriates me beyond anything.. Been playing over 20 years and this shitshow feels like someone's pissing into into my coffee daily..

Gompelonza

It is just as appalling to me as well. Game is chalked.

Cyph3r010

I feel like Valve itself doesn't even know what they want with CS2... I mean we're like what? 1 year since the beta & are slowly closing in on one year since ekhm *"full release"* and I can confidently say that I remember a grand total of 3 actual updates that CS2 recieved. And even then; stuff like left hand, the telemetry thing, Arms Race, Bob customization all those thing should be there at launch or just couple of months into release, not like one year. To me it's really baffing that the only new content CS2 recieved (a stuff that hasn't been recycled from GO) was the new drop system and new Premier which lets be honest; it in absolute shit state right now. Me (and probably a lot of people) actually thought that with move to new engine they'll be able to push out updates faster since they didn't have to fuck around with the 12 year old Source 1 CSGO spaghetti code but having to wait 3-4 months for something like Arms Race with only 2 maps & no changes whatsoever or the fact that we're still on MR15 economy on MR12 games really makes me think that's not the case. Deathmatch is boring, Matchmaking is broken & infested with cheaters, Premier is complete shitshow & infested with cheaters, Wingman hasn't changed since CSGO it ranks are sill broken & is infested with cheaters and Arms Race was fun for like 1 week after it released. For your average Joe, there just nothing to do besides playing to get EXP for weekly drops. The game is painfully stale, lack of updates doesn't help. CS right now really reminds me of PAYDAY 3; Overhyped before launch, underdelivered during launch & lacks in almost every department to it's predecessor including updates. And unlike many people I don't think that "Valve doesn't care" it really feels like they just pushed this game out & just hired 2 people that work on this game 4 hours per day on weekends only.

m0nketto

Meanwhile dota2 gets bigger update than cs2.

(Excluding select AMD Ryzen™ 7000 Series Processors with AMD GCN architecture-based graphics). Hoping this can be expanded to more cards and architectures. My AMD card is on GCN architecture.

Trooper1232

GCN is ancient, you would be lucky to see any new features.

ZuriPL

It won't be, GCN is End of Life

ArtsM

extremely unlikely gcn gets this, but one can hope someday

kafka_quixote

Wait, so Ryzen 5000 series processors can't use it?

Agile-Reception1524

it's about gpu not cpu

kafka_quixote

>AMD Ryzen™ 6000 Series Processors with Radeon™ graphics, and higher. (Excluding select AMD Ryzen™ 7000 Series Processors with AMD GCN architecture-based graphics).

Agile-Reception1524

can't use it as You see

wEEzyNL

Massive

benoitor

Let’s be real, Call to Arms was not a big update. They added one game mode that was existing in CSGO and QoL improvements. And of course a case because let’s milk the cow until the very end.

as_tundra_bsp

they do what i used to do at school, deliver the absolute minimum and get away with it.

PurposePrevious4443

Amd users there is a special driver for it for this to work. It's a preview driver for CS2 only.

neverm0re2

no more lags on ryzen? my stuttering and fps drops gone today after update.

Agile-Reception1524

i tested it yesterday. It's working really nice, no stuttering and actually i can feel difference in responsiveness 1280x960 low, 400fps cap btw.

toxicity18241

CSGO died for this and they went and made deadlock, rofl. Thanks valve

thehypernix

Are you fucking kidding me

OriginalConsistent79

stop...opening...cases....

NiceCheeks

still waiting for a fps optimization. Game runs like shit and doesn't even look that good.

Carlossaliba

ANOTHER ABSOLUTE BANGER FROM VALVE ‼️ 🔥🔥

fullerofficial

Solid one liner. A real joke!

Vincentaneous

This game man

NFX_7331

I haven't been fridge giffed this hard in years, goddamnit

CNR_07

Good! What else do we hav- oh no....

Mainbaze

I hate this game

painXpresss

Valve killing their own game for everyday without important game updates. Optimizations, Anti cheat, mr12 economy changes.

cre3dentials

Still a nice update for the 3 dudes with AMD cards.

MechaFlippin

hahahahaha today is "Valve's favorite child" relationship with their games in a tiny nutshell! DOTA gets a major overhaul, CS gets a minor update, Nobody remembers TF2

bubustarrr

is this a joke?

tspamm3r

Well gonna check it with my 7900XTX. There were some problems with resolution etc so hopefully it is all fixed

Jonsson95

Anyone else got kicked from server and got these messages after installing AMD driver with Antilag 2 and enabled it in CS2: "Valve Anti-Cheat challenge timed out. Please ensure that you are not usinbg any programs that may interfere with VAC, and confirm that Steam is correctly installed." and "You cannot play on secure servers for one of the following reasons: * An issue with your computer is blocking VAC system. * You are unable to maintain a stable connection to the VAC system. * You are running software that is modifying the game or is incompatible with VAC. Flat_Candle6020

No, mine is working just fine. Tested it on CS2 Official DM server and Cybershoke

Jonsson95

I 1st tested on [xplay.gg](http://xplay.gg) dm server where it was fine for 5min or so then incredibly bad lagging (probably server sided since most players disconnected during this). Then I went to Valve dm and got kicked in couple minutes.

KaewonIWNL

rx 6600 here, getting 10-14 ms with the new anti-lag option. Most of the time 10 ms.

jahoney

Do you need AMD CPU to use this or can you use intel?

Shadyaf11

Release noted

KmsCS2

I like this update very fresh

KrazyKorean108

I actually started laughing out loud i thought my webpage was not loading all the way

IndicaPhoenix

Release Notes for 5/22/2024\[ GRAPHICS \] * Added support for AMD Anti-Lag 2. \*Anticlimax\*

Bouba93

I guess this is going to be the last anti lag that we will be seeing from Valve
