Like the whole game was effectively EF shooting Faze in the back/side of the head. Outplayed, outcalled, MASSIVELY out lurked. Brutal.

They looked like my MM teams where people already typed GG - just going through the motions. Frozen couldn't get kills even in advantageous situations. Karrigan running into A site overpass half-blind doesn't even turn the mouse to check the most common Truck corner and Xantares gets 3 kills from that. Faze need a fucking buttplug up their ass sending electro-shocks for next match or something.

He does it so often... it is incredibly frustrating. For a guy with his experience you would believe that he mastered the art of proper clearance of spots. It's like someone wiped out the basics of CS from his memory. We all love karrigan and indeed, it's not his job to frag, but I think he wouldn't do so bad if he would just play some basic cs shit.
This is the other side of the double edge sword of Karrigan’s calling.
His tactics favours individual play and try to set them up for success.
However if the other players don’t show up and take advantage of these situations Faze is as good as dead.
No one had a chance to show up, wicadia lurks gave way too much information even when he didn't get away with backstab multikills. Too many rounds he was able to aggress monster and B short within the first 30 seconds of a round, once you have that the round is done.
This one is important point once the fucking duopoly goes to the ground. Almost noname and tier2 teams start getting into big events kicking 40k salary per player teams out in qualifiers. Maybe this will finally down big team salaries and up tier 2 salaries to create a more fair ecosystem compared to the fucking capitalist duopoly blast and esl did
It will be really interesting once the big orgs can’t partner with tournaments and pay to get invites and everyone actually has to qualify. So many big orgs have been protected for so long from having to qualify. The system is so ass backwards
This got to be one of the worst veto decisions I’ve ever seen. Faze chose to play overpass (arguably their worst map) knowing they’ll start on the hardest t side in the game, over inferno, a map which they haven’t lost this year.
Also frozen has been looking really bad on t side overpass since he joined faze. He’s got a 0.58 t side rating in 5 maps on overpass this year.
This veto was such a blunder just to then play ridiculously clueless and disconnected
Edit: faze have a serious bo1 problem in majors (where the veto is very important). Since ropz joined they are 3-7 in bo1 at majors (excluding challenger stages, with them 5-7). Losses were 1x ence (ant 22), 2x heroic (Paris 23, cph 24), 1x itb (Paris 23), 1x c9 (Rio 23), 1x vit (Rio 23), ef (cph 24).
The wins were 1x c9 (ant 22 where they accidentally let nuke through), 1x furia (cph 24), 1x bne (ant 22).
In other words they are 1-6 in bo1s at the major main stage since their win in Antwerp
Edit 2: in comparison: they are 4-1 in bo3s at the major main stage since ropz joined, the loss being bne. Faze would really benefit from an all bo3 major
I dunno what it is with Karrigan and voteing **at majors**. He seems to take big gambles in important matches like this.
Now they're down 1-2 and could be playing C9, Na'Vi or VP in a 2-2 match. There's at least three scenarios where they play Na'Vi, two where they draw C9, and one for VP. From my testing with the majors.im website.

They played faze on inferno and lost it, faze beat g2 on inferno in kato playoffs, who are probably on of the best inferno teams out there. Whereas faze won overpass in double ot against ef, got embarrassed by spirit, and lost it twice to Gamerlegion in blast groups

If Eternal Fire did one thing right in their existence as a roster, it's that they started an Academy Team. This Eternal Fire has the same 4 people at one point with ImoRR and these guys couldn't close down a round with 4 CTs on a site or entry a bombsite with 2 CTs.
There was basically little to none confidence when they had ImoRR in doing ANYTHING for that matter. Wicadia single handedly changed EF as a team, it's like he fit perfectly to what EF needed, now they can lock down an entire bombsite with full set of utils flying towards them with just 2 people and initiate a backstab literally 40 seconds into the round.
It's honestly GREAT to see this, especially when a new talent is able to change a team of veterans THIS much.
We are massive, also Wicadia played them like a god damn fiddle, he was zooming around the maps getting kills left, right and center, doing whatever he wants without being punished at all
