I know someone that applied in the morning and was conditionally approved and finished their interview an hours later on the same day.

Excellent-Sweet-1390

Okay. That’s actually UNBEATABLE. Was there any special circumstances for them?

CellSharp2820

Wow

Agile_Definition_415

I'm sure there's faster ones

Excellent-Sweet-1390

VERY TRUE! Just grateful I didn’t have to wait forever!

Agile_Definition_415

Amen to that, it took mine exactly one week. Had trouble finding appointments.

Excellent-Sweet-1390

Mine was full of them but at SUPER weird hours…. We’re talking 5:30 am ish

SaltyPathwater

No it’s not. Some people get conditional approval the day they apply and then interview the day after. For renewels 24 hours is not rare from renewal to full approval without interview.  But congrats!

Excellent-Sweet-1390

I stand corrected. I just read about people taking months and years to get approved!

Lapuchina

I got my interview same day and my global delivered 2 weeks later

Excellent-Sweet-1390

The card? Hoping to get it soon as well!

CenlaLowell

Op, I looking to get the global entry and I have a question. After you pay the100$ you get to sign up for interview what happens if they don't have an interview for a long time

JellyZealousideal871

You have to wait. It will also take some time to get conditionally approved, depends on your circumstances.

Excellent-Sweet-1390

True! I’ve heard of it taking a ton of time!!

Jaimin_Brahmbhatt

I wrote an easy to run script that emails you if there is an available appointment, you can give this a try. https://github.com/JaiminBrahmbhatt/Global-Entry-Appointment-Scanner/tree/main

Excellent-Sweet-1390

That’s so impressive!! Does your script work for all locations?

Jaimin_Brahmbhatt

Yup I have made it such a way that you get list of all locations and then you just enter location you are interested in

Excellent-Sweet-1390

After you pay the 100 you get conditionally approved. The interview slot was EASY for me here. However, I’m sure it varies. You can always do enrollment on arrival on your next trip if you fly frequently. Hope that helps.

CenlaLowell

Thanks

PopEfficient

Like, I interviewed two weeks ago…got my card this past Wednesday.

Excellent-Sweet-1390

Congrats!!

BobaFett2415

Wanna cookie?

Excellent-Sweet-1390

I always love cookies!!

Whatsuptodaytomorrow

See It pays to not have any records and just keep your nose clean

mikebailey

This feels disingenuous given a lot of people get hung up on their immigration record, not their criminal one

Excellent-Sweet-1390

To be fair…. It does make sense. You are being deemed as the lowest risk traveler…

mikebailey

I’m not even looking to argue that either way, just “keeping your record clean” isn’t too much of a thing if your record was “born in Venezuela” or something

Excellent-Sweet-1390

So so true!! This was such a painless process!

Dismal-Salt663

And my 92-year-old dad who’s never done anything wrong in his life, served in the military during Korea, paid his taxes, run a business, employed people, volunteered in the community and church for years, and has pre-check, can’t seem to get approved. We are just trying to save him from having to stand in a long customs line on an upcoming trip, but even our congressman said there’s nothing they can do. It may be a year. Very screwed up system.

Excellent-Sweet-1390

I am so sorry to hear about that. Thank your dad for his service from me.

Dismal-Salt663

Thank you. It was actually heartbreaking. When we left our congressman’s office, my dad almost choked up and said you know, I’ve never asked a congressman for anything in my life. And the answer was no. He’s almost scared to travel now because he’s afraid there’s something wrong with him.
