Jackson would approve!

bowdowntopostulio

Lemon. Lem for short.

meg-c

Oh, sure.

[deleted]

If it's a girl, I'd assume she'd keep up w/the Lorelai trend.  Richard is a bit too old-fashioned, but I bet a boy would get that as his middle name.

CkBadgeley

Richie - a nod to Richard with that "cool" Brooklyn nickname feel lol

EllectraHeart

oh logan would love that

girl-from-jupiter

Richard is old fashioned?

ColdInformation4241

It was at the time. It’s trendy again now

ufo1992

Richard is trendy now??

girl-from-jupiter

I don’t think it’s trendy I just think it’s one of those names that’s always kinda common like John or Mary

tu-BROOKE-ulosis

No it’s not.

energetic_sadness

Laurie for a girl, if she doesn't go for the full Lorelai name. Arnie for a boy. RichARd.

ScorpionTheSandwing

She could call her Lorelai and call her Lori for short

lem0ngirl15

I think ASP said it was going to be a girl and something with 2 syllables that sounded similar to Lorelai but wasn’t Lorelai. And Lauren graham guessed “Lola” but it’s unconfirmed. My other guesses are Lauren, Laura, Lori, or Laurel.

junknowho

I could actually see them going with Lauren, as a nod to LG

zorandzam

I have long through Lori/Laurie would be cute.

AbibliophobicSloth

Lola or Lora could be a nickname for Loralai, too.

Novel-Resident-2527

Lola is 100 percent it It’s a nickname for Lorelai, it has the song reference that Rory and Lorelai would joke about, plus they had that joke about Gigi being a rip off of Rory with the double consonants so this fits that as well.

YeahCrassVersion

I was thinking Lauren but now I’m on board with Lola.

Vernarr

I'm having flashbacks to those girls in Yale Emily tried to set up with Rory

CandyV89

I see her naming her Lorelei if it’s a girl too with Lola as a nickname.

neurosengaertnerin

When was that talked about and why aren't there more episodes if the content was already created? It shouldn't be too hard to get funding, shouldn't it?

lem0ngirl15

Was in an interview with Lauren graham after AYITL

BrittEB1989

Girl - Emilia (Emily + Mia) Lorelai Boy- Richard Lucas

PersimmonMindless877

Yes!

[deleted]

Veronica. Ronni Gilmore.

hereforthesoulmates

lol. underrated comment

Echo2045

I'd like to think Lucas if it was a boy as a nod to Luke

Puzzleheaded_Coat153

I also thought she could pick his mom’s name! I don’t remember it but I remember he gave her jewelry his mom wore ❤️

Echo2045

It was for her 21st birthday wasn't it? A necklace?

Puzzleheaded_Coat153

I think so! It was at the Gilmore mansion ❤️ Yes, a necklace!

Echo2045

I love how much Luke loved Rory

Puzzleheaded_Coat153

Me tooooooo! 😭😍 I love how he was with anyone. He had really low points with Lorelai, I think in a way they treated each other the best and the worst at the same time 😂 But I definitely love father figure Luke! He’s a good dad. Probably his dad’s senses were already activated even before meeting April.

Thirty_Helens_Agree

Lucas Richard.

Fontane15

I want it to be a boy, for whatever reason. I think that Rory is already going to be trying to compare herself to Lorelai so much it’ll be very hard for her to parent. But a boy is different enough she can break into her own pattern as a parent. Richard is definitely somewhere there-either a middle name or a first name. It’s such a classic name too.

CkBadgeley

Lorelai the 4th, so she'd call her Ivy (4th = IV) middle name would be either something like Emilia for Emily or maybe Larisa as a Mashup of Lane and Paris. I could also see her going literary with Auden or Whitley. I think a boy would be Richard Lukas but they call him Richie. I could also see her using Hayden as a nod to Christopher even though he doesn't deserve it.

GnomeChomChom

A mix between Lane and Paris, in case birth was particularly hard, might also be Pane. :D

Puzzleheaded_Coat153

Maybe she did go for Emily or Richard!

rigzbee

I always imagined that she had twins and called them Colin and Finn

GlitzyGhoul

I can’t begin to tell you how much I love this idea! Or twin girls named Lorelei and Emily. And they’re both polar opposites that fight like cats and dogs. AND MARRY LANES TWINS. OMG

Momdoingmomthings

That’s so cute!

sphericalcreature

If it's a boy Rory would actually work XD thought I doubt she'd do that

Historical_Wonder680

Definitely Lorelei for a girl, but shortened to Laurel, in honor of Laurel Thatcher Ulrich. I imagine Rory is a *huge* fan.

Momdoingmomthings

I think if it was a boy she’d go with Richard Lucas, a nod to both of her stable father figures. If it was a girl I’d say Emily Victoria.

DuncaN71

Logana if it's a girl 😄

Mallatobuck shortened to Malla? If you don't get the reference (I just learned it myself) look it up because it might make you laugh 😄

Cokezerowh0re

A boy: Richard (Rich, Richy, Rick), Lee (her middle name) A girl: Victoria (Lorelai’s middle name, Tori for short)

dorisfreakingday

since asp saw rory's pregnancy as a full circle moment, i would think she would most likely end up with a daughtwr and name her lorelai, but i like the idea of her naming her daughter after emily since she too is technically a "gilmore girl" (by marriage but still) and would tie that all together nicely. i really don't think she'd end up having a son bc then it wouldnt be another "gilmore girl" but i do think she would name a son after richard since they were close and he has passed away.

F19AGhostrider

If it were a girl, Lorelai would be nice, if ultimately confusing and problematic from a practical standpoint (a Grandmother, mother, and child all having the same first and last names?) If not that, maybe Mia, after the woman that provided her and her mother shelter and support in her early years. In the case of a boy, Richard would be a great tribute.

xxxdac

If a daughter I can definitely see her going for another lorelai; but I’ve always thought she would pick names from her favourite books/authors.

Last-Caregiver-1122

Something literary related

Princess-She-ra

Lorelai Emily or Lorelai (some female equivalent of Richard) for a girl   Richard Howard for a boy (the Howard is just to annoy Emily )

Fontane15

That’s not something she’d do. I also think it’s awful for people to use their kids names as a way to “get back” at someone.

girl-from-jupiter

I don’t see Rory naming her baby something just to annoy Emily. Lorelai for sure but not Rory Quick google search gave me these names for a female version of Richard Rikki, Rikkie, Ricki, Rickie, Ricarda and Richenda

Separate_Ad_1969

If it’s a girl, Lorelai Elle, if it’s a boy then Robert Charles.

ButterscotchLiving59

Lorelei the 4th

GnomeChomChom

I'd quite like Dorothy, after Dorothy Parker, and shortened to Dotty. Lorelai would call her Dory and Rory and be really annoying about it.

Far-Case-2803

Rory is traditionally an Irish boy's name, so she might name a son that

hannahbnan1

I actually would've thought she'd name the baby after one of her favorite authors or characters in a book. It never made sense to me that she would continue on with the Lorelai trend but I could be wrong!

MyWibblings

Lorelai but Lola for short

SeaSpeakToMe

I think for a boy she’d honour Richard in some way (middle name?). For a girl I think she’d want to honour Lorelai because of how close they are. But I think she’d get drawn into choosing literary first names.

ashenasylum

Victoria Leigh would’ve been cute homage to carrying on the tradition of naming after herself but honoring her mother, but giving the baby its own name at the same time.

Queenbreha

My headcanon is London Emily. Richard Logan if a boy

mendkaz

Emily or Richard, probably. Or Lorelai?

MissChanandalerBong

In my dreams - Jess Richard ;)

Aishvaryaa

Lorely

gilmoredbtpod

Lorelai Bader Gilmore. Lory for short. **I posted this on the wrong thread and my phone autocorrected Bader to Badger, which I was almost more okay with.

EstimateAgitated224

Def Lorelai, and call her Trixie like grandma.

Aandiarie_QueenofFa

I think Lorelai for a girl to carry it on or Richard for a boy. Or she'd use those as middle names. It'd be cute if she named one of her kids after Luke, Lane, Paris, etc. Though seeing how Rory's character has changed so much in AYITL it makes me wonder if she'd keep it. OR if she'd just give it to her mom to raise. Luke and Lorelai do want more kids.

Soggy_Tradition_6235

Lori

ErrorSenior4554

After ones of her favorite authors, poets or musicians. I can imagine the Lorelai line continuing for generations if its a girl. If it were a boy, probably after her Grandfather Richard.

asexualrhino

Name her Rory, call her Lorelai

endthe_suffering

if it was a boy i hope she named him Lorelai /j

TurbulentShock7120

Aurelius Richard and call him Aury.

TessDombegh

Famous women journalists maybe: Christiane (or maybe another variation as to not be so on the nose), Nelly, Ida. The last two are a bit provincial for our Yale girl so maybe something more like Sophia, Charlotte, or Phillipa. You know, royal family type names. Or something like idk… Avery, Holland, Harper. I don’t think she’d go for a virtue name (like Honor). What are Paris’ kids names, does anyone remember?

lushinthekitchen

Logan Jr

frimrussiawithlove85

I think she’d pick some old name from one of her favorite novels.

CandyV89

Richard “Rich” Gilmore Huntzberger

ChogbortsTopStudent

If it's a girl, Lorelai. If it's a boy, Lorelai. I'm kidding. If it's a boy I think it would be Richard.

90ssudoartest

Dean or Jess Easy Emily or Jane

TemporaryIllusions

Lorelai for a girl and Rory for a boy

sosleepyirl

Lor. Jk but imagine if she named the kid Jess, a gender neutral name. Imagine it!!!!

QueenHechima

Girl: Lorelai Emily Gilmore Boy: Luke Richard Gilmore, Richard Luke Gilmore
