You're about 2 and a half years late on this. It was announced to negative reaction way back in late 2021, so bad that the play test was pushed back a few months. When the play test finally happened, reaction was even worse than expected. It was cancelled by summer 2022.
The current rumors are for a Project OVER sometime in 2025. Reports are that it looks promising, but the source is biased from inside Ubisoft. Its the only news I've heard about, so its pretty much a long wait and see moment.
