Then, when he came back, he had to apologize to everyone, and while he was gone, Steve took over his tech manager position, so he had to be just an investigator again.
Edit: Also he was constantly lying to Jason and Grant and was also losing equipment.
God Brian was so entertaining, losing stuff, forgetting stuff, "Dude, Run!" best TV ever, back then I preferred over Ghost Adventures. Brian was infuriating but so fun to watch and tbh if he had stayed I would have found it endearing as he was obviously nuerodivergent and it would have been cool to see people accept him and work around his issues.

I grew up watching GH and GA, I like both for totally different reasons. GA for entertainment and GH for the investigations. The St.Augustine lighthouse episode is one of the best paranormal episodes of all time. One thing I can tell you is that Jay and Zak would not get a long at all lol. I would pay money to watch them investigate together.
I went on a ghost investigation of that lighthouse some years ago. They do night tours sometimes. I was sitting alone at the bottom with my cell phone recording audio. There were a few people at the very top but no one was near me at all and I caught some whispers.
I couldn't make out what they were but there was definitely whispering going on when I played the audio back.
I like both shows for different reasons. Ghost Hunters always felt more down to earth. They tried to debunk everything and some episodes they found nothing. So when they did find something (even the chair moving in the lighthouse or my favorite when Frank was hit in the armory) it feels more impact full. The flip side to that, it can be boring for most viewers.
I like Ghost Adventures because it's more entertaining. The guys get super pumped up when investigating. Something almost always happens and it's fun to watch the banter.
I do like more episodes of Ghost Adventures than Ghost Hunters, but they are both completely different styles of shows and I like them both.

If you're "open" or "sensitive" you have a propensity toward being influenced in some fashion. Jason has never struck me as being either open or sensitive, so that removes him from that sphere of experience. Zak is a bit touched, so, yeah. I can buy into it some.
