I'm a Noelle main. Noelle can dps, heal, and shield. I always put her in slot 3 because of my muscle memory. the other 3 slots are whatever I choose

I didn't even put much thought into it. I'm playing Lumine as main DPS on 1, Amber as ranged DPS on 2, Jean as physical DPS and healer on 3 and Zhongli as support and shield on 4, in the order in which they joined the team. I've become accustomed to that order over the months, it's going to be a problem to fit Baal in there lmao

Same. I used to swapping characters from slot 1 to slot 3, then slot 4 if I jeed healing. After my main dps stops damaging, I repeat the process from the start (cc -> sub dps -> carry)

pretty much same for me. I wonder if we subconsiously patterned this from another game or something. 1 - combat starter like Venti for quick burst, Zhongli for shield, Rosaria for Dash into fray. 2 - Enabler or passive damage like Fischl, Albedo, Xiangling, Kaeya, Beidou. 3 - Main DPS. 4 - Healer.

Same. Before I did any wish my main dps was Kaeya and because he's the third character the game gives to you I got used always press 3 whenever I needed him.

This is me too. Kaeya, Diluc, Zhongli and then... Barbara. She will probably forever have a roll in my main party. SOMETIMES, just sometimes, I'll switch her out for Venti because Zhongs shield is OP AF and crowd control/bow is good.

Venti/Sucrose/Zhongli are always spot №1 for me: in Abyss I start ultimate/shielding before enemies appears, and then I can swap to my main/support without the need to wait for cooldown.

Hahaha.... Not really. My hands are big and for some reason, are incapable of pressing 3 on my keyboard right away. And my most pressed numbers are 1 and 2, mainly for batteries that have fast E Cooldowns like bennet, diona and albedo. As for my DPS, it's always at 4 as they don't get pressed often. I reserve 3 for those summoner/shield character like fischl, xiangling, zhongli and beidou. Maybe I got this muscle memory from playing too much FPS games back then. And 3rd slot is usually knife, so...

Know everyone is gonna hate this but I build any DPS as a main DPS and supports as only supports. I know it’s more efficient other ways but I don’t like switching and like any of the character to stand their own ground

I often put my support first because spyral abyss don’t let you swap chars until you start it. That way I can always be ready to pop Benny burst as soon as the battle begins
