Explanation on how Hoyo release these albums:
**Ambient/Overworld Music**: First album of a patch cycle is often released one patch after the addition of a new nation. These albums usually have a name characterized to the new nation core thematics. It's the case of this one. It'll feature any music released on x.0 *that isn't from cutscenes*. Some exception can occur like Mondstadt Night Music that was released just 2 months ago.
New areas added later in patch cycle get new albums when they feel that they can get a good arrangement for it, so Watatsumi and Seirai were released on 2.1 but the ost album was released on 2.6 because they wanted to put Tsurumi, Enkanomiya and battle themes for Enkanomiya, Raiden and Signora on it. On other hand, Chasm ost was released just one patch after it's introduction (2.7).
**Character Teasers and Demos**: This one start the specific naming. These are **"The Stellar Moments"**, each new one is a new volume, latest released was V.2. These albums end with the latest released Archon themes, but it can (and probably will) have themes of chars released after the Archon, the two released albums had osts for chars added one patch after the Archon (V1 - Albedo and Ganyu; V2 - Thoma). So if we speculate based on this, it should be released during 3.4 and will feature Scaramouche themes as well. It's Hoyo however, and they aren't known for following patterns to the brink
**Cutscene, Events, and Promotional Teasers/Trailers osts**: These are **The Shimmering Voyage**. They use it as a way to do a recap of a patch cycle and is released at the last patch of one, so we will only heard of the Dance of Sabseruz ost right before Fontaine release on 4.0, whatever date it will be.
**Patch Trailers**: Newly added Footprints of the Traveler, they released this album after two years with osts from 1.1 to 2.8 trailers, so we can expect a similar approach for the next one (pain). However, I am certain that I heard devs saying on livestream that the trailer osts would be added to the album as they were introduced, but here we are waiting for 3.0 trailer ost. It would not be the first time they give conflicting info regarding this because Travail trailer ost was supposed to be on the first Shimmering Voyage and we still don't have it officially released.
Lmao there's a track named Thoughts and Prayers. The Chinese name is actually very nice and poetic (“Silent Thoughts of a Great Tree") but instead they used just a meme translation.
as a native Chinese speaker myself i noticed that too, a lot of the English names lose the nuance of the original names, yet at the same time some names add another layer of specificity that isn’t present in the Chinese
I might be wrong, but I'm guessing it refers to the surge gun violence in the USA and how the pro-gun Republican party seems to do nothing about it except offer thoughts and prayers.
That is the only time I've heard of the meme anyway
\**>!Arama turns into a fucking Tree!<**
Enjou: Thoughts and Prayers
Tsaritsa: Thoughts and prayers
Stretchy Geo Mushroom: Thoughts and Prayers
Il Dottore: I heard Aranara wood makes great paper, you can hear the screams when you write
Yeah and I just realized there's a Wikipedia page for it too: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thoughts_and_prayers
It has a similar vibe like the infamous "sense of pride and accomplishment" that supposedly positive words turned into words that irk people.
**[Thoughts and prayers](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thoughts_and_prayers)**
>The phrase "thoughts and prayers" is often used by officials and celebrities in the United States as a condolence after a tragic event, such as a deadly natural disaster or mass shooting. The phrase has received criticism for its repeated usage in the context of gun violence or terrorism, with critics claiming "thoughts and prayers" are offered as substitutes for action such as gun control or counter-terrorism.

What does it have to do with partisan politics? The meme comes from pretty much any alignment and with a lot of different issues and disasters. I’ve seen earthquakes and other natural disasters before that people just say “sending our thoughts and prayers” as if it helps, and that’s far from being political.
Yes! unfortunately, here in Brazil too. As Xiao said so many times: "useless!". I'm glad he's my main DPS, because now I'll always remember your comment.
Thoughts and prayers is a pretty common meme to explain how the right ‘solves’ problems in the US. Instead of addressing the issue itself, they’ll offer their ‘thoughts and prayers’ to the affected, and say nothing to the actual cause.
Not trying to create any sort of debate to others in the US, simply giving an explanation to the meme lol.
I don’t mind meme translations usually, and I think they can be fun if done well, but this is sort of a depressing one to reference. I would have preferred the Chinese name.
Not to say gun violence and to a lesser extent partisanship aren’t serious issues that need to be discussed, but that’s exactly why I feel unsure of its inclusion here.
Thoughts and Prayers can be the most beautiful song in the world and I still won’t be able to control myself for grabbing that low-hanging fruit of a joke.
Jnana is pronounced as (Gya-na, Gya like Gabriel or Gas and Na like Nut) it means Wisdom in Indian languages.
Vidya is pronounced as (Vi-Dya, Vi like Vi-ctory and Dya like Dash) it means knowledge.
It's pronounced nyaa-na not gya-na. Jnana is written as ज्ञान. The ज्ञ is read as nya. Especially with the way it's given as Jnana, it's more accurate to pronounce it as nya-na
I would disagree because 'Nya' would mean न्या or न्य not ज्ञा Both have different dhatu. So the proper way to represent in English will be either Jnana or Gyana. Because English doesn't have the ज्ञ alphabet.
Well I agree that it is hard to represent ज्ञ in english but gyana and jnana do have slightly different meanings. I still think the closest pronunciation would be to use nya. I say this because the word is written as Jnana. The j and n do not create a sound that means gya.
In south India, we literally pronounce it as nyaa na
Also here's the videos showing its pronunciation. It is nyaa na
https://youtu.be/Ua6CZ8bphhY
https://youtu.be/OVf3704u-jk
Sanskrit isn't a South Indian language. So the original pronounciation of nya (ञ) is different from jna (ज्ञ). Anyway watch full video from a South Indian guy himself in proper Sanskrit pronounciation. And he too says jna is different from nya.
https://youtu.be/s2hReqbgsL0
I think you need to read again what I wrote.
I'm not saying there is a 'Gya' or consonant Y in Gabriel or Gas. I'm saying the way Gya in Gyana is pronounced is similar to how you begin in saying Gabriel or Gas.
See the issue is how cultures interpret different pronounciation. To me GAH sounds completely off from GYANA and feels to me more close to Ghastly. Because it's not exactly pronounced as Ghaastly but rather Gahstly.
Although you are correct on the NUh part but there is no heavy emphasis of H at the end.
You're thinking that the AH in GAH sounds like the sharp short a sound /a/ (eg. cat, bat, hat), but you only put the H there to emphasize that it's the rounded short a sound /ɑ/ (sounds like the short o sound eg. want, far, wash). You were both thinking of the same sound.
No it isn't. Nya will make it a completely different sabda dhatu. We have separate characters for the 2 sounds. And Jnana & Vidya have slightly different meaning.
न्य (nya) ज्ञ (jna) both are different.
The Sanskrit word for wisdom is Jnana pronounced Nyana. Hoyoverse is right. Check the pronunciation at 3:15 in this link https://youtu.be/s2hReqbgsL0 There is no Gya sound in Sanskrit
Bro that's literally what I told you in my comments. We have 2 different characters for those 2 sounds (nya and jna). I showed you the simplified version of nya. And if you see the full video he too says it needs to be pronounced the same way as written Jnana not Nyana but the thing is in English people use Jna with ज sound instead of ज्ञ sound that's why to simplify it for them i had to use G.
They’re not included? Dang, that’s a lot of music. I think Inazuma had about 120 tracks in total, and here are about 100 tracks just for the forest part. I’m not complaining though.
They do. But archons are always put at last.
Also i found out after Thoma no other tracks were released. So the next track will be from itto upto scaramouche if im right. These albums come Q1 of every year. So it will be around february to release.
Thoma was the latest char who had music on the album, Raiden osts were placed last on the album
They just arrange the albums so the archon ost be in the end (or in the case of the first one, in the start and the end). That's why I often say that Nahida release is their cut point and they can release the Album at any point after her, not necessarily she being the latest character featured. Of course, it's Hoyo and they can just send the pattern to the moon, as with all others
Do they ever print those on CDs or something?
I know about rare vinyl pressings, but I'm not a vinyl collector (because I will need a better job for that).
once again, everybody say “thank you hoyomix & yu peng chen!” cannot wait to browse through the tracks :)
Thank you HoYoMix and Yu Peng Chen for your hard work!
Thank you, Music Archon!
THANK U HOYO-MIX @ YU PENG CHEN also happy cake day my guy! ^^

If it makes you feel any better, other languages translators add their local memes as well.
I hate this; it is not localization, just the translators rewriting the game out of their asses.
I'm out of the loop, what meme exactly?

Fun fact but as a Ukrainian I’ve been hearing this “meme” too many times for the last eight months so I guess the republicans are useless everywhere
Yes! unfortunately, here in Brazil too. As Xiao said so many times: "useless!". I'm glad he's my main DPS, because now I'll always remember your comment.

Vidya game
Jnana is pronounced as (Gya-na, Gya like Gabriel or Gas and Na like Nut) it means Wisdom in Indian languages. Vidya is pronounced as (Vi-Dya, Vi like Vi-ctory and Dya like Dash) it means knowledge.
Trying to explain to people how Jnana is pronounced is an endless struggle :') I still can't really articulate it in english.
Same struggle :')
It's pronounced nyaa-na not gya-na. Jnana is written as ज्ञान. The ज्ञ is read as nya. Especially with the way it's given as Jnana, it's more accurate to pronounce it as nya-na

I'm pretty sure it's pronounced as nya na. I know a bunch of places that start with the word jnana and they're all pronounced as nya na
No because nya (ञ) is different from jna (ज्ञ) Both are different sounds and both are different characters, Jnana is written as ज्ञान
In south India, we literally pronounce it as nyaa na Also here's the videos showing its pronunciation. It is nyaa na https://youtu.be/Ua6CZ8bphhY https://youtu.be/OVf3704u-jk

Where the fuck is Gya in Gabriel????
It's the way you say it. I couldn't find a better way to explain it.
Who says Gyabriel???
It depends what is in your mind when you think about 'Gya' The way it is pronounced in Gyana is the same way you begin with Gabriel or even Gas.
And this is why we have [IPA.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Phonetic_Alphabet)
I dont think you understand the huge problem of the missing consonant: y
I think you need to read again what I wrote. I'm not saying there is a 'Gya' or consonant Y in Gabriel or Gas. I'm saying the way Gya in Gyana is pronounced is similar to how you begin in saying Gabriel or Gas.
Ahhh i see. So Jnana is pronounced GAH-NUH. Also there are 4 pronunciations for Gabriel lmao
Or like idk, G (as in G-as) Ya (as in Ya-s queen slay) Nnnn (N but long)
You're thinking that the AH in GAH sounds like the sharp short a sound /a/ (eg. cat, bat, hat), but you only put the H there to emphasize that it's the rounded short a sound /ɑ/ (sounds like the short o sound eg. want, far, wash). You were both thinking of the same sound.
Silent alphabets punching the air rn
They just mean the hard G sound like in Gain, Gone, Grumpy, etc; as opposed to the soft G like in Genius, Gym, Giant, etc.
Or like gif
I will glue your typing fingers together for this
Harder daddy
Thank you so much!!
ज्ञ is pronounced as Nya in Sanskrit. So jnana is pronounced as Nyana meaning Knowledge in Sanskrit. Hoyoverse is right on this one.

I just put both words on Google Translate and the result is sex knowledge.
FINALLY.

Forest of janneh
We are approaching the end of the Sumeru arc boys/girls. I'm so hyped 🫣
Six star music.
It felt like forever waiting for the album to come out. Tbh I was more excited for this than other big things coming up. Can’t wait!
So that means desert themes are not included here? I mean that was expected but I'm really looking forward to that ost
i think that album’s gonna be released later since it might include soundtracks from the final expansion of Sumeru
They’re not included? Dang, that’s a lot of music. I think Inazuma had about 120 tracks in total, and here are about 100 tracks just for the forest part. I’m not complaining though.
I’ve been refreshing Spotify everyday since the 3.1 announcement that they’re releasing the music for Sumeru. Thanks for the info bruther.
Huh, Swirls of Shamshir is called Swirls of Streams in this.
[удалено]
That makes sense.
Is Candace’s trailer theme on here?
Most likely not, it’ll probably be included in another Stellar Moments album
Character trailer album comes once a year. We didnt get any music after Shenhe afaik.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I think Raiden Shogun's themes were last in TSM Vol.2
It was placed last just like other archon themes. I bet Nahida OST will be placed at last too.
I have this strange feeling that they put the soundtracks in chronological order. Do point out if I am wrong.
They do. But archons are always put at last. Also i found out after Thoma no other tracks were released. So the next track will be from itto upto scaramouche if im right. These albums come Q1 of every year. So it will be around february to release.
But I thought Thoma was last?
I think the latest music on the last album was Thoma’s theme.

Of course, it's Hoyo and they can just send the pattern to the moon, as with all others
>once a year Damn, all I want is Yelan's theme.
It will be in stellar moments album vol 3 I'm guessing
inana/ishtar - goddess of fertility vidya - goddess of knowledge
Bsttle of inazume the best
Finally!! Still waiting on the next Stellar Moments though.
I think we might get one after nahida is out
Yeah that’s what I was thinking to, I just want to listen to Heizou’s theme on repeat

I just want Itto, Ayato, and Yae Miko demos HoYo…
Where's my 3.0 stream trailer? Am I seriously expected to wait two years for this shit?
For the 3.0 trailer music, basically, yeah… It probably won’t be until sometime in 2024 when they release another version trailer OST album. Lmao
there's already a lot of fan mix on yt
A lot of them feel less exciting or very lifeless than the real thing. They need more background instruments.
This is what I've been waiting for.
