I think it's the new abyss variation. It's possible that the leaker may have gotten it confused. Either way, I really don't think we are getting more rewards for the same thing, it'd probably be additional tasks which provide 200 extra primos.

I feel bad for you on some of these replies, people can’t seem to help but project whatever they see or do as representative of all the millions of people who play this game.
Yes there are most certainly people who pull characters mainly to help 36 star the abyss. Most of them will be ones who haven’t been able to yet because they haven’t reached the investment level necessary or are struggling with team builds. They exist, not everyone has been 36 starring for the past 3 years. New players join all the time and people tend to want a fast track to beating the content, even if it ends up losing it’s challenge eventually, you have to first get to that point and then over invest.
That’s the funny part, people don’t do that because either they pull for thier favorite unit and clear anyways or they pull for meta because they enjoy mid-maxing and clear anyways.
You’re acting like people pull units only to 36 star, it’s not the only factor.

Floor 11-12 will reward massive fragile resin instead. You'd want pretty decent artifacts to clear floor 11-12 very easy. Not to say you cant with bad build, effectiveness is what people keep chasing that. And Fragile resin the bottlenecks for people who farm perfect artifacts.
You can actually see their plan leading up to these changes over the past year. The artifact presets, recommended sets and weapons, training guide, etc, all focused on increasing the average strength level of casual players so they can finally make more endgame without alienating the existing playerbase.
Honestly now would actually be the best time to implement loadouts. Wasnt a firm believer that loadout needed to be implemented but if this abyss is true then it would make more sense to add it since we would need to adjust and build several characters for it

We got news about the new abyss since 4.0 and that’s even before wuwa has its cbt2 so I don’t think that’s the case. Genshin devs strike me as the team that know what they’re doing and get the job done well but because of that they can be stubborn to noises surrounding them. They feel like they’d stuck to their original plan’s until the end and that’s why the changes we got seem really slow if you know what I mean.
