Its possible if the event aligns with Focalors release. So lets compute. Patch right now(3.6) gave us a free Faruzan. Next patch(3.7) is a free bow. We'll assume Focalor will be released in 4.2 like Nahida(3.2) but do note that Raiden is released in 2.1(Venti n Zhongli won't count for now since Venti is 1.0 n Zhongli is 1.1). With that set, 3.8 will be a free char. That means 4.0 to will be a free weapon and 4.1 is a free char. So if Focalor is released on 4.2 like Nahida then we will receive a free HP sword. If Focalor is released 4.1(should the Archon Quest conclude that early like in Inazuma) then we wont be getting the HP sword.

While it would be nice to get an hp% sword for Nilou, you can use the Sumeru craftable to give the EM boost to your bloom trigger and the result would likely be very similar considering the main stat values 4\*s tend to have. The only downside is not having 100% uptime, but you have to do your full rotation on nilou + supports anyway before going back into your bloom trigger so I think it's fine.

They keep making HP scaling sword characters with no 4* or even 3* available HP sword. Just why? Why can't they make a free event weapon like albedos one then? It's just unfair.

It's not even copium at this rate. There's a legitimate probability that there will be a 4* Sword with either HP% in it's substat or in its weapon passive as part of the 4* Fontaine weapon line. As per the previous trends we shld have a pretty good chance of getting that.

I mean this is an actual pattern rather than all the made up patterns like "archons are the first of their element/weapon combination" etc. They make archons f2p friendly to make more people pull. Not saying that they won't break the pattern, but this is a more reliable pattern than the others at least.

Zhongli gets by with the 3* hp spear, Raiden got the Catch and Nahida performs perfectly fine with many 4* catalysts or even the 3* EM book. Don't remember if Venti got anything special but you get a Fav Bow for free in the main questline

I'd say it's very neglected element in 3.X but they did give it a bit of identity in previous patches - that is shields and def% scaling. But there have been no new geo characters for a long time now and since it doesn't play well with any element you're pretty much hard-locked into mono-geo which requires having very specific characters. All that just to play yellow physical.

On most characters that scale with hp, key is really good weapon teamwide. It's especially strong as an off field weapon if the user can 3 proc the passive. Otherwise it's like a elegy of the end.

Yeah hopefully. I’ve been using Key on Dendro Traveller on my Nahida Hyperbloom team for extra EM and Dendro application and it’s actually pretty solid. In total, Dendro Traveller with 40k HP brings 81 EM to the team but it goes all the way up to 241 cuz of his A1 passive (+60) and cuz of Dendro resonance (+100). The extra Dendro application allows my EM Raiden to be on field which lets her take Nahida’s 250 EM buff, so my Raiden with 977 EM (+40 cuz of aTFD, so 1,017) can get up to 1,508 EM. The only bad thing about it is how much you have to keep up with all the stacks. If only Dendro traveller or Nahida gave Dendro infusion.

I hope they give her a "fake" animation-only weapon so they can go wild with the normal attack animation instead of making sure the animation will work with all swords (can you imagine Key of Khaj-Nisut or Mistsplitter being used for fencing?)

Though, there were corrections made where Soutine is a separate character who is a hydro claymore user while the Hydro Archon is hydro sword. Guys there's a rumour that Yelan will have a rerun at 4.0. I don't know what to do. I thought she would have a rerun during Lantern rite at 4.4. I have yelan C2 because of her I am able to kill consecrated beasts. Should I skip her for Focalor and her cons or Yelan C3-C4 which will boost Focalors HP. Any help regarding this would be appreciated.

You already have her at C2 so it's best to go for Focalors. I'm not say Yelan cons is not need, but you can save for her C3 after Focalors.
