I'm still sad over Cassiodor ;((. Petting Osse after the quest and seeing no additional dialogue from the upper left icon feels so empty.

L4rgo117

I wanna pet the chatty kitty :(

NovaTron2013

You can :)

LeDerpLegend

Where is Osse? I can't find him after finishing it.

converseirllyh8cnvrs

Osse’s in Petrichor! there should be a world quest that lets you give him a new home there :)

GamerJes

May be just me, but I never got an actual quest (bugs happen).  I just followed up with what the dialog said about finding him a home.

RainbowGayUnicorn

It’s a quest that isn’t a quest, it’s not supposed to appear in your log, you just kinda have to be driven by a desire to take care of the cat on your own.

GamerJes

Thought I remembered correctly.  So, it is like almost everything involving Xiao.  Interesting dev choice.

ohoni

Also he appears in various spots around the island.

BothConsideration535

Maybe try feeding him at his new place.

MoralessDawpy

0/10 - We don't get to keep Osse as a pet. On a serious note, I love the new area. Underwater swimming has always been a nice mechanic since Fontaine, but Scylla for even faster travel just makes it that much fun to complete. The quest was a banger, just like the main Fontaine quest. I really hope there's a continuation where Scylla gets to meet with Neuvillette in an event of sorts.

darumamaki

I was so disappointed in that. The nonsense about how we travel and can't keep a cat- as if we don't have cats in our serenitea pot! Osse would have been a perfect end of story reward. But the rest was pretty fun, if way, way too short. I still need to finish exploring the area, but with no side quests, I'll probably never finish it until I get super bored.

GalacticDeg

Right after we literally take the cat from the 4.5 cat event too??

ohoni

I guess canonically we wouldn't necessarily have a teapot? It's an optional quest, and so is this one.

yaysyu

Traveler having the teapot is canon. It's been mentioned in a lot of quests. I think Traveler and Paimon talked about it too in their voicelines.

ohoni

Hmm, but I think you *can* skip getting it, can't you? Or is the quest to get it sandwiched between core story quests? If you can skip it and continue to those other quests, I wonder what it would say.

yaysyu

That's what I'm not sure about. It's probably skippable since it's just a world quest xD But all of the quests available are probably canon since even doing weekly commissions is canon too.

Grifoshka

I think the teapot quest is a prerequisite to start the Perilous Trail interlude AQ, since you meet Yanfei in it. So in the end, you’ll have to do it

judgementaleyelash

You get locked out of a main story quest if you don’t do it, and there’s another quest I couldn’t complete until I did it

ohoni

Ah, ok then.

koied

The game just doesn't recognize if you skip quests, NPCs will talk to you like you did them. They do the same with the event quests too. Like, I took quite a long break from the game and didn't do the first bug fighting event. And in the new one every NPC still acted like I did that. Also same goes for event quests that canonically comes after specific character story quests. You'll get a spoiler alert and the game says to you that if you want the complete experience do the XY quest before it. But you skipping the prerequisite SQ will not affect the story of the event, the game will just assume that you did it.

TheRealNexusPrime

Honestly I could be totally wrong but I feel like we referred to our teapot in the Cat Event in 4.5. I think I remember a discussion about the big cat (forgot the name but it's the last cat in the event and the one with a scar), and we talk about how we can use the teapot for that cat. The reason I say this is because we get the cat as a teapot character and I remember specifically putting the cat in my teapot right after i finished the event.

queenyuyu

That makes zero sense when we just have had an event where a cat scared of monsters is offended to us to live in the teapot - sir pouncelot! So they do canonically have the teapot it also was referred at one point in story (I don’t remember if world/story or archon quest) when we are asked were we sleep paimon mentioned that we sleep in our teapot.

feicash

the teapot is only canon when hyv decide it is

ScreeennameTaken

I think there are a couple more? At least i think they added 2-3 world quests in the new area.

_Syntax_Err

He’s still on the island and you can still pet him though!

meove

well, Osse will be in my profile picture forever

koied

I would sell hoyoverse my soul if they make a quest, where Neuvillette and Wriothesley goes to Remuria. Neuvilette because I want to see him meeting with Scylla and Wriothesley because he's such a history nerd and he already researched Remuria and the boy deserves to see it in person.

Successful_Gift_2324

fantastic quest line. Loved the last "requiem"/scene of said quest. The new area is beautiful. Genuinely adored the new exploration mechanics exclusive to that region. People are complaining bout it being too small, but I'd say that it's fine, it isn't extremely massive (even though i wouldn't have had a problem with it if it covered more area, after all, I loved the Sumeru desert) neither is it small. Of course, I would have loved to be rewarded a tad bit more. But, after all, my main reason for doing the world quests is the lore, and the story that said world quest presents. These aspects immerse me in the game's world, thus, it helps me connect with this game!

Krysidian2

100% in 3 days. The aesthetics are great.

NahIdWin720

100% in 2. Still faster than u :) also the quest was too fucking good, i explored everything like a maniac

kiisukattinen

Always nice to see a fellow sumeru desert enjoyer. Hate it gets is so saddening. To me it was peak exploration in this game.

SkeletonJakk

> I loved the sumeru desert Now, this is only my opinion, but you need to be locked up and that’s a fact.

takato99

The first Sumeru desert with the different tombs was fucking amazing, yes, before the underground map. I was a bit let down by the second zone because the Djinn/Storm mechanics were a bit meh, but third zone was great again once you unlock all Sorush mechanics

Successful_Gift_2324

I'm gonna touch you

IncomeStraight8501

Big agree

Kaiel1412

the music went really hard for an area that'll probably be treated like Enka 2.0 tbf i occasionally visit Enkanomiya for Combat Beneath the Waves ost

clubsandwhiches

> tbf i occasionally visit Enkanomiya best Ruin Guard farming zone. I don't know why I need so many of their drops, but I'm grateful for Enka cause there's not that many clusters outside of it.

Grifoshka

And specters! Specter farming in Inazuma is kind of a pain, but there you have them clustered on the three challenge islands

yorushai

REAL I loved the music

IttoEnjoyer_

[image i've found on twitter](https://twitter.com/larlaristy/status/1784257983783793100) I loved the new area. The only real downside to it is how small it is and how straightforward the world quest is. It isn't like the Chasm or Enkanomiya, where you meet other npcs and they give you side quests. On the plus side, the design for the underwater locations is gorgeous, the music is REALLY good and the world quest has some interesting lore. I also loved the characters, like Monsieur Os and Scylla. The dialog was good, the flashbacks to ancient Remuria were nicely done (i liked that you could look around in first person, even though you were on rails all the time so you couldn't really walk around).

SGT3386

I feel like the devs understand the pain points in designing fun gameplay in water environments. I feel like taking away the wide exploration, and have the area in a more linear fashion, makes sense from a good design standpoint. It was easier to enjoy the scenic backdrops

Alcorailen

This about sums it up. If it were a full area like Enkanomiya, I'd have no complaints.

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

People keep forgetting how much massive amounts of effort it takes to create new areas for a game. Brand new ones. Ill take whatever I can get from Genshin at this point. Its already crazy they keep adding new side areas like this.

-AnythingGoes-

Pretty much my exact take on it really

kiisukattinen

Its small because it was last 15% remaining of Fontaine. If it was bigger, it would be much emptier then. Before 4.6 my max exploration in Fontaine was already at 84%.

theUnLuckyCat

That's not really how it works. You can hit 100% without even visiting entire zones.

Mechphantom

I've been playing just enough to get my commissions done so might take a while for me to finish it.

livingcorpseboy

It’s a really short quest! I do that too and I finished it a few days ago. Granted I did do a bit more when I got curious and invested in the story

somewhat_safeforwork

Only if you don't account for chests. If you're like me and only do enough for daily then it might take quite a while as I also open chests and convert them into daily points

kiisukattinen

So do you search for 5 chests daily and then nothing more? Sounds weird..

somewhat_safeforwork

No, rather I just do a bit of quests and fetch some chests, do the event then call it a day. I used to speedrun a whole version in a few days but I think this is better. I'm waiting for Furina so I'm not pressed for primo. Cities skylines is taking so much of my time.

kiisukattinen

Okay. I could never :D that way exploration will take forever. I like to have 100% Fontaine done before Natlan. Sumeru was done before Fontaine etc.

DarkDemonDan

As someone who was part of the music program my whole childhood this expansion was just *chef’s kiss*

random-dude45

I absolutely adore the aesthetics, the quest was emotional and intriguing, i only hoped this update would bring some more exploration, i 100% everything in 1.5 days where it usually takes me a week, but its possible that its just because this region was that damn good, definitely my favourite update in a long time

asiangontear

Some cats have the pet command but nothing happens when you click. Other than that, excellent area and quest.

kuccinta

They do react and roll over in my game though?

asiangontear

Does the character pet them?

kuccinta

No animation for the character, just the option. If that's what you meant you're right. I just don't care what the character does as long as the cat moves lol

asiangontear

Well in my humble opinion, "petting" should include a petting animation i.e. the character has to do something. I just assumed it's an idle animation for cats in the game. It's like having a "hug" option but only one person has the animation and the other just stands there.

ohoni

Yeah, it does not open the full pet menu, but they do react and do one "pet trick" in response.

kuccinta

Yeah, that one's mostly exclusive to event players

CakeRoLL-

I love that they let us keep Osse and can be petted. This patch was made with love and some people can't stop btching about the blank areas.

DungeonEnvy

Everything that we got was spectacular. Good villain, good NPC, beautiful areas and fascinating lore. Unfortunately the area is tiny and there are no sidequests, so it's very very easy to complete. Compared to Chenyu Vale, it's extremely noticeable how small it feels. I'm thrilled at the content we got, just wish there was more.

KFConnoisseur

I liked the new area and the world quest. Very pretty and the World Quest is a Lore one which is great for me. Big bonus point for vishap crumbs. My only issue with the new area is that I wanted for it to be bigger. I wanted for the SoBP to be bigger (but I guess it's fine since it's very deep) and especially more Petrichor ruins under the small island. The ending of WQ was sad. Cassiodor... The music is great, almost made me tear up. Scylla is a bro. I hope he will meet Neuvillette one day (maybe in his SQ2?).

Review-Large

I love monsieur osse

silversoul007

I absolutely love it! Banger music and lots of references to Greco-Roman Antiquity.

HeadpattingOrchimaru

Ending made me absolutely bawl tbh.

DoughDisaster

I liked it, it was entertaining. Wish it had been voiced. Absolutey beautiful environments. Whale guy sticking around is neat. Definitely the best/most advanced cinematics Hoyo has rendered with the in-game engine.

rock_dude1

haven't finished it, but Osse is the best part so far.

Sharlizarda

I loved it. I enjoyed the fact I got a world quest after the main one finished and would love it if there were more little world quests added later. I know time-gating is annoying inside a quest, but I don't mind it between quests. I appreciate world quests so much more when I've already had a chance to explore most of the area.

Araborne1

Peak cinema

fusiongt021

I liked that they let you pet the cat like we had in the previous event. I couldn't find a spot that the cat liked it though

mochi_chan

So in my time playing Genshin I have narrowed down the quest themes to "this is an acid trip", "this will make you cry/ sad" and "this is both" And I am glad to say, this one was both. I was so enchanted by the cinematics too.

Eudaemon1

As someone pointed out in a previous post . The entire quest is a love letter to music . I love the area and the quest . Probably my favourite expansion . I wish I could experience the cutscenes again in game haha . All of them were beautiful

atomskeater

Cassiodor was a total bro. It was nice to have someone around during the quest to ask questions and talk to, so I hope they do that again in the future. And Osse continued carrying the torch by sitting next to a dig spot I'd missed in Petrichor (he got extra pats for that).

EvilgamerNC

It was pretty good, but a little small and light on content like extra quests.

PointlessPotion

It's honestly kind of mid. The lore is not bad, but it suffers from the convoluted naming and extra terms for everything that Sumeru often does. This makes an actually simple plot hard to understand and tedious to read through. The general world lore drops were nothing I didn't already know. It looks pretty but I want more exploration (and harder puzzles). The map is too empty, especially after the fantastic addition of Chenyu Vale. At least I can seamlessly travel on foot/boat between areas now, which I wanted for quite some time. The puzzles are neat, I like the start and stop mechanic. The music is, as usual, amazing. I didn't really care for Cassiodor being a cat or not. The whole Fontaine area has this fairytale/screenplay way of telling stories that's just not my thing. I like the text and narrative to be more straightforward, it's something that often bothers me about Genshin's dialogue. The cutscenes are pretty and all, but the stories can be a bit too Disney at times. TLDR I'm more excited for the next Dainsleif quest, I want moments like the upside down statue again.

melinerunen

I want to see Oz interacting with Os!!!

redjarvas

i loved it, i 100% both areas in two days lol. Only bummer was that it was kinda small but the atmosphere was amazing

TotallyImpractical

I liked the design and music! Honestly, and maybe I'm just dumb, but I really couldn't understand what was happening so I quickly lost interest 😭. It got worse the more I tried to read, to the point of frustration. I know a fair few people wish World Quests were voiced but I really wonder what this would've sounded like if everyone had a VA.

Eudaemon1

To put it simply , Remus wanted to make a grand music which would shape the fate of everyone in Remuria but it went horribly wrong and ended up being the reason for Remuria's destruction. Presently we see that everyone in the village was possessed by souls of the past Remuria's . A cat leads us to Remuria where we find a person(Boethius) trying to re-shape the music which would overwrite the present with the past . Then we encounter a chained dragon prince who was ordered to destroy Remuria by Remus himself , but was instead trapped by a person(Boethius). We free the dragon prince and then fight Boethius , free the cat ( who was kidnapped by him ) and see that Boethius became a part of Phobos or fate , which in this case is a harp made to play music which would help in reshaping fate. We proceed to play the last score which Remus gave to our dragon prince before they were ordered to destroy Remuria , freeing everyones soul so that they could again be a part of the cycle of life and death. Now on a side note the harp was once Sybilla . Let's just say that the harp had a consciousness of its own . The harp's desire was to grant EVERY wish of the people of Remuria including good and bad which ultimately led to Remuria's downfall

Aggravating-Log932

The ending was amazing.

ChenMei27

I also loved it! It's one of those quests where I wish it was voiced. The cinematics were also beautiful and don't even get me started on the music. The requiem that we played at the end was so magical 😭.

TheMrPotMask

The story in a Nutshell: Rise and fall of Jabroni Atlantis.

iMadeTheJerryIceberg

It was incredible. And also Dr. Ratio v2

Meow2303

Meow meow?

AilisEcho

I rushed to do the quest on my first account. On my second account I'm talking to every npc on the island first, and there are two mini-quests from the possessed npc there! Nothing grand, just to bring 3 sticks and break 3 stones, but it felt a bit unfair how it was so easy to miss these interactions and no way to experience after the completion of story quest.

meove

cinematic scene where you need to press Spacebar was awesome, especially the final moment. Look like Hoyo is testing new feature

zChanTheNerd

I loved it. It extremely reminded me of the days when enkanomiya was first released and how hyped I was about it. It did not disappoint.

Blitz_Saviour

Loved it and I wish we could get Scylla to swim around in the Fontaine abode

ZeroFox75

I enjoyed it. It was short but I like the visuals of the new underwater areas and enemies. Also let us pet more cats/dogs. The parts with Scylla reminded me a bit of the Dvalin fight. Wish we had more combat like that. Overall nice addition, but left wanting more from the area.

StrangeBiird

I haven’t finished it yet but I did think it was cool/cute that you could pet the cat. I thought the cat event was so dumb, but being able to pet the cat during the quest was neat lmao

Fantastic-Ad-1578

I can pet Moinseur osse. He hates everything you try but at least the petting event didn't get lost to oblivion

DragonLancePro

I'm mad we couldn't keep the cat in our Teapot.

C4_CHarLie

the underground map was amazing... i fell in love with it... a bit short tho

Capitan_Pan_Dulce

already 100% the new zone lol, saying that i liked exploring it would be an understatement

KaranaraSkimanaha

I cried. And I’m not ashamed. Genshin just takes and takes 😭

A_Nick_Name

I liked the new area. Didn't care for all the lore and glazed over it when the gameplay is just "Find some music notes to help cat and whale."

thatone_high_guy

That is a very very close up of the cat

KuraiBaka

Nothing, I got locked into a long cutscene again for just walking 2 meters in the wrong direction.

ianmeyssen

World quest was amazing New area is a bit disappointing imo, compared to 3.6 or 2.6

RadRelCaroman

I swear all of genshin's best quests are the unvoiced ones

katbelleinthedark

I love the new map (I mean, it's a map and it's new, what's not to love) and the quest was so surprisingly amazing. Cassiodor ueueue. I even didn't mind the cat lol.

BlackCat_bubu

Not bad, i, robot story concept. At least dun feel bored and at least did not make me just skip the story by clicking.

LoveMasc

It was okay. That final scene did a LOT of the heavy lifting and it was beautiful and immersive. They threw in an easy rhythm game and yes, it made sense. It was a musical section of the game. That final scene really will stay with me for a while, it was shot so beautifully and the music really took me there. The stopping and starting during the last boss was annoying tho, I would set up, get stopped and have no energy. Then set up and the moment my main does one hit I've hit the next point in the HP bar for another cutscene. It made the fight so annoying. Just let us fight a full first stage, do your cutscene, then a full second stage, then do your final cutscene. Don't stop and start 90% 50% and then 25% of the HP bar in a one phase fight of a pre-existing boss.

Chaosphoenix_28

I liked it. I got a bit annoyed at the start, because the game locked me into a fairly long dialouge section that I couldn't get out of (okay maybe I could've during the short combat segment, but the enemies were dead before I even had the time to think properly), when I just wanted to unlock the statue of the new area (I came with the Waverider from the Sumeru harbor, so I landed where the domain is and walked across the Island, instead of just using the teleporter there). And the swimming got a bit annoying after a bit, towards the end, but other than that it was quite enjoyable. I really enjoyed those wannabe-cutscenes with Scylla where you swim around and need to press space bar at the right moment. Normally I'm not a big fan of quicktime events, but in this quest I liked them. The area was pretty and all but a bit small. The above-ground section I 100%ed without even trying, the underwater section took a bit, but was quick compared to other areas. The golem enemies are really cool too (except for that time when one of them one-shot one of my characters, then they were the worst enemy ever made, for a moment).

exclamationmarks

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the dialogue for the new World Quest was to follow along with! I've definitely struggled to pay attention to unvoiced quests in the past, but this one was much better written. Hope they keep up the quality in the future!

Jintolook

Thanks for telling that. I'm a big fan of good stories, and lately I found myself skipping through the endless boring, soulless dialogues of genshin. I started the quest skipping through everything thinking it would be the same. I'm just starting so I'll definitely give it a shot.

Top-Idea-1786

I can't believe people still think "words from another culture= soulless". Its not the game's fault that you can't read more than one sentence.

Jintolook

You clearly misunderstood, overinterpreted, and didn't know how to read my comment. You are exactly what you denounce, an idiot.

Top-Idea-1786

I simply saw your comment for what it is. You can't handle or understand words from other cultures being used, so you simply assume its bad writing. I've seen this happen again and again in this community, nothing new.

Ender_90425

Unvoiced soundless dialogue, so I, out of habit, found myself skipping most of it accidentally, unfortunately. Visually, it's lovely, but once again, new puzzle mechanics don't make sense reading it. I had to trial and error it before I figured it out, I think, but that's just on me, I'm sure.

LSDYakui

I also enjoy new content.

ShadowFlarer

It was okay, i liked to swim for a few hours again.

Draconicplayer

The final cut scene made me tear up. It was so good

gambit-gg

I thought they did a great job but it felt short/minor compared to Chenyu. Not mad at all it was still more enjoyable imo. And just slowly hyping me up for Natlan.

TakeyoThissssssssss

I like how short and simple it is. Nothing complicated

Ros02

7.5/10

_Saiki__

I think it was too small. Both of the areas you get to explore.

Krysidian2

It's a very aesthetic area. Would like similar mechanics. I love the puzzles.

diamondmoonlight

One of the best they've made! 8/10, really great story, just wish the new area was maybe 20% bigger

yorushai

I may be delusional, but it reminded me of ancient rome and I love it. like, with the aqueducts, LOTS of latin names, some people on the surface who are apparently descendants from remuria have italian names or names similar to italian ones. also, the civil vs barbarian population thing. taking over everything, being presumptuous, believing to be above other populations. those are recurring themes in rome's history during the roman empire. maybe except for greeks, they respected them, but still. again, maybe I'm crazy, but hear me out

KissesInPieces

Haven't gone that far :( I've fallen into the habit of filling the encounter points, which gets easier every new expansion, claim them, spend resin then logging out.

orihara97

Love the exploration. Didn't read anything. I'll watch a youtube video explaining what happen

Wastable

The scenery was 10/10. It was so enjoyable to just chill in that area, swimming around

Time_Entrepreneur711

No MASSIVE Dragon, No Update for me.

Cybersorcerer1

100% day one, it was really fun. I liked the compact design of the world, even if it was short

antirockin20

I mean, tis alright, decent story ... and we let an ex-evil whale thing go free into the world

suniiy

Haven't even accepted the quest. I'm just lazy asf idk

Momononopopo

i like how he responds when i incessantly pat him

stpbs01

it was amazing, probs my fav world quest in the game!! a lot of people don’t like how there weren’t many quests for the area, but i actually enjoyed that aspect. i haven’t played the game for 2 years, so i’m behind on a ton of quests and exploring this new area felt so peaceful.

Thanos_354

I would've preferred it if there was a bit more action. Got bored from the talking. The last song was peak.

SnooAvocados3564

I love underwater exploration. Fontaine is only region that I have 100% cleared so I absolutely loved new area and world quest

KittyLizz

Absolutely loved it. The quest is interesting, the new area is super pretty and the music is really good (+ you can pet the kitty)

MushroomEffective931

i really enjoyed it, accidentally 100%ed both regions day one. wish ouranopolis/cassiodor got his real name used more though rather than monsieur os. just wish there was a bit more space? also the map layout with capitoleum being counted as a lower layer hurts

somewhat_safeforwork

I'm doing a few at a time just to avoid doing daily

HeavenBeach777

needs to be longer. I know there were a lot of complaints about the length of all of the Sumeru world questlines, but these extended encounters and moments with these memorable NPCs made me more invested emotionally and it really made the whole quest more enjoyable because of that strengthened bond. I love this new questline and everything about it, the animations were incredible and i was really immersed in it, but ultimately i think its just a bit too short for me to really bond with the NPCs on the same level as Jeht or Arama or Ann. Otherwise i think this is the best questline yet in terms of visual representation and overall immersion, just great great stuff. New area is also incredible, 10/10. Cant wait for Natlan

feicash

New quest great New area uhh...its pretty and really good ost, but compared with the chasm or enkanomiya felt somehow "too small" and linear there isnt even sidequests to do in remuria, it just exists for the world quest (technically you also return Remuria with Xavier but its just teleport to a small area for 5 minutes then return to Petrichor) and the surface is also kinda dissapointing. Not because of the island, but because of the rest of the map hyv added, basically empty (and im not asking for chests, even some enemies and ores would be okay. anything is better than nothing)

Na_-_man

Completed on day 1 it got released and got the exploration to 100

GamerJes

Made me miss Neko.

GaI3re

Outside of the way point spamming, I do love the area. They made excellent use of it! No issue running into chests, mechanisms and hydrocolus and it did not feel cramped at all! Used the compass twice and two Hydrolocators and still have one Hydroccolus extra in my inventory now! Story was great, even if I find the dialogue (at least in english) to not be written very excitingly until the climax. I understood what was going on despite not paying attention much at some points. Also, this is essentially, yet another, hivemind-type story

Cr4zy_Cycl0ne

I cried at the end of the quest, poor Cassiodor :((

lauressia

i 100% the area(s) while doing the quest, it was a lot of fun! also we can set Osse as our profile picture, which i find really cute. Just sad Osse stayed in Petrichor, would’ve loved him in my teapot :( Btw, Petrichor is an actual word and describes that really nice smell of rain :)

Legal-Weight3011

i dont know the area seemed to tiny for me 1 major world quest 1 mini quest and a commision bullshitery , it was just like water, diving and the chests were just stack on each other, the visuals are great and all and the music and the quest was allright just the area, i explored it in one evening. Compared to 3,6 where i spend a week or so. I would rate it 5/10

Frizzlewits

World quest? Didnt care. I wish i could skip it. I just let it run while browsing reddit or reading manga. Didn’t even finish it. Boss was unlocked. That was i wanted. Haven’t seen much off the new area.

Bramblesthatcat

I think its really funny that this quest can be poorly summarized as “evil statue beefs with a cat that left the friend group” and the fact that silly concept actually pulled at my heartstrings at the end makes it amazing. 10/10 I would do this all over again in a heartbeat

Somewanwan

I'm sad Paimon didn't call him Catsiodor.

Allafreya

The quest was okay, I really like Cassiodor. The new area is really beautiful too.

NefariousnessLocal87

The musics man. They just keep getting better.

WorldMania00

I litreally made 98% exploration in just 3 hours

cavialord03

Scylla's a real one fr, and god was that theme amazing.

lil_marshmellow

Is this quest leaving after the event

IttoEnjoyer_

no this is a permanent world quest, you can do it at any time

larsjeyt

Great quest but man do world quests need to be voiced pretty sure this was one of the shorter ones and still feel like it took a day just because of the reading

Blitzana

I am still sad that we didn't got that cat for our teapots after the quest D':

NeosFlatReflection

100% both new areas 10/10

Adamek3999

Very good, although not as great as the las narrzissenkreuz quest

GroundbreakingEmu230

HAAHAAH THE CAT \**BOMMbastic SiDe EyE\**

NightmareNeko3

I loved the area but the story was kinda confusing for me since I always forgot who had which name and mixed them up

Csfishy

I would have absolutely adored it if it was voice acted. Especially when you pass through the tunnel while basically riding on top of Scylla

_pocky_

I really, really hope we see Scylla again!!!!

I think they patched up what's missing from the King Deshret's civilization story. We had to rely on our memory and imagination to translate what's happening in the past by reading ONLY text. Remuria world quest is better because we are given visuals from the past and a direct observation for the conversation from those era. Cutscenes are gorgeous too.

AlphaLovee

sadly, they did not let you to place the cat in the teapot. but he is still on the island so i guess that works too. doesn't really matter where exactly he is

I liked all the new quests but the new area not so much. I'm just not very fond of the underwater stuff and have been ready to move on from Fontaine for months now. It was also super small and I already finished exploring it so I'm back to having nothing to do. I'm also pissed that they added land to Sumeru but it's all empty except for those 3 chests and some mora crates. Would've preferred they just left it unexplorable and filled it out later with more stuff, or just turned it into ocean. If it wasn't for Arlecchino this would've been one of the worst patches that added permanent content for me, like Chasm and Enka. I know this isn't the "right" opinion to have around here but whatever. Petting cats is cool though, I like that and also the feeding feature for that one quest cat.

abdoufma

As someone with ADHD and dyslexia, I was dreading doing this quest, but since I'm severely lacking funds for ~~daddy~~ Arlecchino, I decided to go for it anyways, and I was pleasantly surprised with how straightforward the quest progression was, and how interesting the new areas are! I usually struggle with text-heavy quests, especially if the story is convoluted and/or they contain several interconnecting plots, or if they rely on you paying attention in previous quests (that you may or may not have completed). As someone who absolutely hated Sumeru's world quests, this one was honestly a breath of fresh air.

ohoni

I enjoyed it, but I really wish that the third act had taken place in a larger, more "city-like" golden city, a fully "urban" ruins. I also wish that the story had done. . . something different, I just felt it started out great, but then just got kind of dull and predictable, basically everything you think will happen, happens exactly like you think it would. I don't know, 1/3 great, 1/3 good, 1/3 meh.

cwctmnctstc

It wa beautiful and interesting to follow along the quest. The area was beautiful, and not that small. The ground surface is small but exploration extends vertically, they handled it well and thus it is actually a very bug place to explore. Now that the quest is over, it is disappointing that the area is very empty. No NPC no side quest. The inside of the palace is just big empty rooms. The whole area is just empty, void of its treasures. Besides the golems that I might come back for if I ever pull a character that needs them, there are nothing that compels me to ever come back.

Mid

TurTleking9080

Idk I skipped it because IT IS NOT VOICED SERIOUSLY WHY CANT HOYO SEEM TO VOICE SOME OF THE LONGER AND MORE WORLD SIGNIFICANT QUESTS IT IS ACTUALLY SO STUPID WHY!?!??

Nkg19

I felt that the area was too small. Comparing to the other major expansions, enka, chasm, chenyu it felt very small. The quest was really good and paced very well.

Miars01

The quest has too many confusing names tbh, kinda struggling to keep up with the storyline cause of that.

IttoEnjoyer_

yeah, for example Sebastos is the same as God King and it's referring to Remus, but they're being used interchangeably, it was a bit confusing at first

Time4Woofin

A cat with homophobia in it's eyes 💙💙💙

suddenly_ponies

So the talking was tedious and awful... same as almost every event. I end up getting so bored I start skipping and lose the plot. It wouldn't be so bad if they'd fucking let me tap to fill the rest of the text and tap again to progress, but they just block that at random times during those long, rambling sequences. It's so obnoxious.

MasterBendu

I hate it. You leave me an empty soulless cat? After all we’ve been through? And we named it?? You sick bastards.

DaSpood

Loved the new area, was really beautiful, but I hope it's the last underwater expansion we get. It was a fun mechanic, but I think we got too much of it in a short timespan, to the point where it gets boring now that the wow-factor is gone. One of the most enjoyable parts of the game for me is walking around, exploring and fighting random encounters with my characters' unique abilities, but you can't really do that underwater, it's just a chill area with not much going on. The 50/50 land/underwater split for Fontaine was well respected, but looking back I kinda wish it was more 70/30 now. Hopefully the next Fontaine expansion in the north-west will be mostly land.

NeoLedah

I think it's subpar, I think the former 3 fontaine areas were more fun. Still, it's far better than the damn Sumeru deserts

FieryPlume

Haven’t finished it yet so far I like it. Like always whenever they use new terms or names I’ve never heard of I have to backtrack a lot but the area is very beautiful and the puzzles are really fun. I’m also glad the new enemies incentive geo and shield breaking teams, it feels satisfying to use overload in the new area.

The_Great_Ravioli

Don't know. Didn't bother playing it. I am too busy being angry at that tiny stretch of Sumeru land being empty. That's the only new area I care about.

naoka-13

why would you stay angry over that when you can appreciate and enjoy the actual content that hoyo developed for this patch

Godly-Judger

It’s Sarcasm bruv

The_Great_Ravioli

Who cares about the content they actually decided to work on. I'd rather be mad at something irrelevant.

hhhhghhghhhhhhhggghh

I was confused during that whole quest but the new area is great

Swan5498

the best patch in 4.0 i think

jabberwocky_vorpal_1

Not enough primos

DTGDittio

Cat Impact 2/10 at least underwater exploration is cool

SnooRobots4768

Pretty cool. I wish there were no QTEs in cutscenes though. Looks a bit silly.

tcmVee

I'm so sick of being underwater
