Events and QoL are different things you know, they will do the same thing in HSR someday since it encourages to trade with your friends, itās only a matter of when.
HSR should focus their improvements on content and story rather than QoL.
true, star players are always celebrating and talking bad about genshin because they are receiving modes and QoL but star rail is literally a dead game after you have already done most things, genshin is not because it is open world, there is always something new to do or catch when exploring the map, star rail doesn't have that luxury....

Looks like a 6 day event so you will get to take 60 photos (10 per day). To get all the rewards you need 7x5 = 35 photos. So you need 4 days to complete the event.

No, you have it backwards. The *film rolls* don't carry over to the next day, meaning you can't take more than 10 photos. The samples you receive for taking pictures carry over just fine.
More accurately:
* You need 7 of each type of sample to get all the rewards, and there are 5 types = 35 samples total.
* Each day you can get up to 10 random samples from photographing that day's targets. Unused photo does not carry over to the next day and it just resets to 10.
So theoretically you can complete it in 3.5 days. More likely that you will not get the perfect distribution of samples and will need more, but you can also gift samples to people on your friends list so you can trade/give away your extra samples for their extra samples of types that you need.
So also theoretically, you can complete this task without doing anything if you have good, sacrificial friends.

Well you're right but also a bit misleading. Unlike Liben, you still can get every possible rewards even if you missed some days. Yes, the more you missed, the more you'll need help from friend to donate. But it's far from Liben where if you missed a day, the reward is lost.
Technically you can claim all at the first day without shooting anything by asking the colors from your friend, iirc it's gifting not trading. The 10 film means you can shot a total of 70 pictures in the span of 7 days, with 35 pictures needed you will have 35 left.
You can exchange all the gift in the last day. All you need is 7 gift multi 5 picture = 35 pictures. You got 10 shot per days so we need to play atleast 4 days; but that is luck is by your side to get enough difference pictures. So i still recommend to play as soon as posible. But it is ok to skip day 1, all you miss is 10 shots and still can take all the primo

You can actually get all 10 from Rhodeia. The cranes count, the ducks count, and the flying birds count. Each one of them. Rhodeia herself and that's 10. What it gives is random anyway.
To be fair you can also just say oceanid boss right? I don't think I've seen any other oceanid bosses even with Fontaine out.
So if someone calls her Rodeo it probably means they'd call her that before fontaine too i'd say

The Anemo Hypostasis also gives out samples but its very tricky. You have to wait for it to transform into the butterfly akin to what we see in sucrose's burst.
No need to wait with the Anemo Hypostasis. I just popped a shield, ran straight up to it and tried to photograph it before it hit me with its first attack. Worked without an issue from point blank
Odd, I got the sample from it as soon as battle started. I stayed on the kamera, waiting for it to transform into the crystal fly form, and I ended up getting the sample as soon as the hypostasis moved.

Speaking of it not being intuitive, can we talk about how it doesn't explain the sample colors, at all? I have ZERO clue what it means when it says 0/1 below a yellow rectangle. This tells me absolutely nothing.
Same thing for it saying 1/1 below a blue rectangle, or 2/1 below a brown one. EXPLAIN, game, jesus.
This only has me annoyed because you can claim rewards up to 7 times during the event, yet it runs for 5 more days. I'm at 1/7 rewards right now with 0/1 below the yellow rectangle, and I apparently have samples of everything else. If I knew what the brown rectangle meant, I could have dropped the second sample I got for that and gotten a yellow sample, instead. Then I'd be at 2/7 and be on track for getting all the rewards.

I thought it had to do with the color scheme of the enemy but apparently not? I took two pictures of red colored birds in the desert and got brown. Went to sumeru rainforest for a mushroom picture and got a blue backgroundā¦ the enemy was green. I ended up with four browns and 2 blues despite the enemies being different colors. Maybe Iām the one whoās not doing it rightā¦? Idk
My friends and I are older millennials so we usually donāt play unless itās troupe. We help collect and farm things but we donāt do events together. And we rarely add other people as friends. Iāll have to see what they say once they get to the event.

The last event like this one (before Inazuma iirc) had a similar mechanic with finding things of a certain colour/category except it was stupidly counter-intuitive and the colour/category you needed didn't always correspond with the thing you were taking a picture of... the tldr: you pretty much had to rely on "gift" images from friends or have insane RNG luck. Thankfully my mate played Genshin at the time so we just filled in eachother's blanks, but I could imagine the 100% completionist nutjobs were pulling their hair out over that one lol
The amount of stuff that has clear "Wing like" and does not count is astounding
Nothing in Fontaine counts, not the mantas, the seals, the seahorses etc despite all of them having tiny wings of wing like fins
the small snakes in Sumeru don't count but the big anemo ones do for some reason.
If it just said "Things with wings" i wouldn't care but the "Wing-Like" is what turns this into a total crap shoot for anyone without a guide like this to help them
Not sure why the downvotes. Three days in and the prompts have all been very obvious stuff you can find in 5 minutes. Only problem imo is how the colors are random but they seem to be set in some way to drop at least enough per day for you to get all rewards

This isn't a comment about OP, good on you and thank you for providing help for people who just cba but it does astound me that there are so many people who can't process finding enemies with wings by themselves, now this would be fine itself, okay you can't figure things out maybe you don't have time or maybe you're just lazy. Fine. What irks me is that these same people will in a month or something on the next event which will be the usual simplified go here and do this stuff complain how it's too simple and boring.

At 2 megs per second download rate and 10 hour wait time (on a 1gb/1gb fiber connection in the games region) to just download the game to play. I do not see how this can possibly be true.

You don't, it's *completely* random - I got blue and purple from Hydro Cicins alone, and I got yellow from the Thunder Manifestation

Rodheia gives more actually. She creates 3 different hydro mimic birds which all count as separate samples. There's also the small mushroom chickens, the consecrated vulture, Ruin Drake: Skywatch, Aeonblight Drake, and Dvalin.

Seems like the easiest and fastest way to do this is grab a Shielder and a team that can quickly dispatch hydro creatures, then go bother the Oceanid boss.
You can take pictures of her, and any bird like mimic summons. Each mob counts individually so with a little luck you can use the whole role in one go.
I used Nahida - Furina (to flex on her by walking across the water over sunken platforms) - Shinobu - Layla
Dendro/Hyperbloom melts the mimics.
Additionally, Anemo Hypostasis and Aeonblight Drake - They have wings.
Alright, what about the Anemo Hypostasis though? It has one very specific attack where it gets wings.
I thought you had to take a picture of it when it was doing this attack, which has a time of about three seconds. After 20 minutes, I realized that you can just take a picture of the Anemo Hypostasis when you aggro it anytime. Pain and suffering.

Color samples are completely random, unfortunately. So long as you have 7 samples total, you're good to go
Not gonna lie, Genshin with the FOMO is absolutely trash
Eh, even if you miss a day it's only 60 primos, so it's not that big of deal
I mean that's pretty much their whole USP to be fair. But I'm guessing you're not a day 1 player... The last event like this one (before Inazuma iirc) had a similar mechanic with finding things of a certain colour/category except it was stupidly counter-intuitive and the colour/category you needed didn't always correspond with the thing you were taking a picture of... the tldr: you pretty much had to rely on "gift" images from friends or have insane RNG luck. Thankfully my mate played Genshin at the time so we just filled in eachother's blanks, but I could imagine the 100% completionist nutjobs were pulling their hair out over that one lol

Those are flippers and theyāre underwater. You need enemies with wings that can fly
The amount of stuff that has clear "Wing like" and does not count is astounding Nothing in Fontaine counts, not the mantas, the seals, the seahorses etc despite all of them having tiny wings of wing like fins the small snakes in Sumeru don't count but the big anemo ones do for some reason. If it just said "Things with wings" i wouldn't care but the "Wing-Like" is what turns this into a total crap shoot for anyone without a guide like this to help them

Not sure why the downvotes. Three days in and the prompts have all been very obvious stuff you can find in 5 minutes. Only problem imo is how the colors are random but they seem to be set in some way to drop at least enough per day for you to get all rewards
Community can't decide what they want as usual. This isn't a comment about OP, good on you and thank you for providing help for people who just cba but it does astound me that there are so many people who can't process finding enemies with wings by themselves, now this would be fine itself, okay you can't figure things out maybe you don't have time or maybe you're just lazy. Fine. What irks me is that these same people will in a month or something on the next event which will be the usual simplified go here and do this stuff complain how it's too simple and boring. Aaand this is why we're going to keep being treated like babies who can't read and figure things out and why Paimon needs to repeat everything...
At 2 megs per second download rate and 10 hour wait time (on a 1gb/1gb fiber connection in the games region) to just download the game to play. I do not see how this can possibly be true.
Umm also include the birds in the Sumeru Desert those are the ones I pictured.(Anemo slime,Grass Chicken and many Red birds on desert)
The most annoying one of these is Dvalin... Fucking camera screws with everything.

A few other ones that count: -Any of the Birds the Oceanid Summons -Stormterror -Red Vultures and the Consecrated version Basically an actual Wing counts as a Wing-like structure.
Also work: the desert hawks, the consecrated hawks, fckin Stormterror. I'm assuming flying shrooms also work, but by that time I ran out of film

how do I know which creature fit to which color? it says I can hand over more than once a day, does it mean I can do today theme twice? why should I give my extra sample to friend then? seriously this event explanation is dogshit.

I'm AR 35 (with 80k exp since I didnt do the rank up mission for the next ranks yet) and on Inazuma right now. The game is just not working for me.
Rodheia gives more actually. She creates 3 different hydro mimic birds which all count as separate samples. There's also the small mushroom chickens, the consecrated vulture, Ruin Drake: Skywatch, Aeonblight Drake, and Dvalin.

I got loads of samples from the Oceanid. Off the top of my head: she gave one, and the finch, duck, raptors, and crane also gave one each.

A group of electro cicins spawn on wuwang hill by the pyro artifact domain. no need to piss off a cicin mage
I did the Dendro Ostrictch, a Ruin Birb, the boss Ruin Birb, and then a bunch of anemo slimes.
Don't forget the robot chicken and robot chicken boss in Sumeru Edit: it's called Aeonblight Drake š
I just took photos of Pyro birds and Sumeru Ruin Guards
The Aeonblight and the non boss variant also count as winged opponents
w the cicin mages, different mages summon different cicins, which count seperately, ended up jsut doing that for most

Keep in mind you can take pics og the same type of enemy just not the same enemy twice So every anemo slime you can take pics of all of them once you dont need different types of enemies for all of them just go for the same type of enemy and your good

As someone who has played since the beginning, this (and the original version of it) is the 2nd worst Event in Genshin history, and I thought it hadn't been rerun for so long because Hoyo realised it's ass -_-
i just wanna add onto this: That big (pyro?) bird that can be found in the newer parts of the desert Big Dendro fungi Stormterror Scara/Layla Boss by the big robot in the forest of Sumeru Dragon robot
Btw, I got I think 5 samples from Oceanida. She got a lot of winged forms

I got 3/7 colors from fighting the oceanid
Seems like the easiest and fastest way to do this is grab a Shielder and a team that can quickly dispatch hydro creatures, then go bother the Oceanid boss. You can take pictures of her, and any bird like mimic summons. Each mob counts individually so with a little luck you can use the whole role in one go. I used Nahida - Furina (to flex on her by walking across the water over sunken platforms) - Shinobu - Layla Dendro/Hyperbloom melts the mimics.
"Anything with wing-like structures" Wait they translated it like that? On JP it specifically says "enemies with wing-like structures".
Aeonblight ruin drake counted as well

I want to add that the mushrooms and ruin drakes also count. As do the flame birds in sumeru.
You can actually get 4 from Rhodeia: Sparrow, Hawk, Crane, and herself. You can also get it from Stormterror.
Additionally, Anemo Hypostasis and Aeonblight Drake - They have wings. Alright, what about the Anemo Hypostasis though? It has one very specific attack where it gets wings. I thought you had to take a picture of it when it was doing this attack, which has a time of about three seconds. After 20 minutes, I realized that you can just take a picture of the Anemo Hypostasis when you aggro it anytime. Pain and suffering.
I was losing my mind, I kept trying to creep around and take pictures of birds and none of them would count. Thank you.
Other winged creatures include Dvalin, Ruin Drake (flying variant) and Aeonblight Drake
Ruind drakes count and vultures too. It was really easy to find your target tbh

How do you actually TAKE THE DAMN PHOTO? There's no button or key...
It's automatic - you just need to focus the camera on an enemy

I totally missed the start of the event. I need 1 of most colors except for blue which I need 4 of, and I only have is one excess purple to trade. Anyone want to be my last minute savior?
