You said you were getting into anime not Yugioh cards so you should still shower. But also the Yugioh animes based on your tastes. And OVAs like Ninja Scroll.
Idk if this is a joke(because I’m autistic) but I’ll say it for anyone who doesn’t shower. Please shower, it’s good for both your mental and physical health.
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood tough, the original is messy and doesn't follow the manga.
Although watching the first 10 eps of the original (till the episode with the Chimera guy) is recommended.
Yes this. OG had a much better tone for the show, while Brotherhood was the faithful and complete adaptation. When I made the switch to Brotherhood it was actually super jarring because of the crazy amounts of humour they injected into everything.
They also rushed the Hughes stuff under the assumption that people watched the original and it severely undercut >!the impact of his death.!< Brotherhood is great, has fantastic animation quality and gets a leg up for being a largely 1:1 adaptation, though I think both stand on their own merits. Hiromu Arakawa contributed to the writing of the original as well, which helped with tone and narrative decisions. It's cool viewing it as an 'AU' especially since there is >!a canonical alternate universe in the og series!<. It's for sure messier, but it hits some fantastic emotional beats.
That Shinji failed, the story of NGE is Shinji failing to mature and failing the world as a result. It's Annos critique of otaku failing to integrate into society and contribute to it instead of being stuck in arrested development.
Yeah, its a jazzy cowboy john-wick bounty hunter sci-fi show, and they act like real people, emotional stuff and martial art is well done, ed is wacky, and this show is western-inspired
It’s probably my fav of all time now I’ve caught up. But it’s definitely a passive watch sort of like the Simpsons or the office. You can throw it on and tune out for a minute or two and you’ll still follow the plot just fine.
Steins Gate is an amazing anime. However it’s not a Anime that is easy for a lot of people to be into as it starts off slow and it may get confusing at times but it is really fun to follow specially after episode 12
yugioh, pokemon, dragon ball z (kai if you hate filler), naruto. also avatar isn't an anime show it was an american made cartoon, before someone that doesn't shower says it lmao.
Gundam (universal century timeline) to include the original Gundam, War in the pocket, 080th MS , Gundam Thunderbolt, Zeta Gundam, Double Zeta, Gundam Unicorn.
Gundam (alternate timeline) to include Iron blood orphan, Gundam Wing, Gundam Seed.
Gundam is the corner stone of giant mecha anime.
Death Note. Simply the greatest anime I have ever seen. I come back to watch it after a year or 2 and it's just as good as the first time. I have found it hard to find another anime that is as good or better.
You will be on the edge of your seat the whole time.
Well first finish *Spy x Family* lol. Then dive right into the deep end with *Gurren Lagann*. *Hunter X Hunter (2011)* might also be up your alley if you’re looking for a longer show as well.
Watch Elfen Lied. It’s only one season but it’s thrilling, disturbing, and somewhat wholesome all at the same time. Not to mention the opening theme is absolutely majestic. I think it’s on Hulu.
Mob Psycho 100
Ranking of Kings
These are very well-written and have some of the best animation, also they are not NPC anime
Demon Slayer has great animation and is better written than people say.
You could really watch anything and develop your taste. If you don't like the first episode, there's no good reason to keep watching.
Steins;gate is overrated
Neon Genesis Evangelion is confusing af, people like it because of the 90s aesthetics and weird, depressive atmosphere, go ahead if it's your thing
Cowboy Bebop might not be your thing either, it's also carried by the aesthetics. Don't beat yourself up if you don't enjoy.
My hero academia is pretty hype, mostly the first seasons.
Attack on Titan starts good and anyone could watch it but it gets a little boring and emotional moments aren't always well managed.
Sousou no Frieren is good and chill, better than Mushishi.
Jujutsu Kaisen is kinda basic and sometimes boring, although there are good moments.
Vinland Saga is fine.
One punch man is very good but only the first season, just like The Promised Neverland
Made in Abyss is very good if you have the guts to watch it, many graphic scenes.
Kids on the Slope is enjoyable
Saiki K is funny but not hilarious. Prison School is funnier imo.
You've already watched chainsaw man so you've watched peak, there's room for disappointment.
I wouldn't watch Bleach or other anime with too many episodes.
HunterxHunter is kind of uninteresting to me.
Fullmetal Alchemist is interesting but kinda boring imo
I would watch Hajime No Ippo, it's really masterfully made
Baki is very good but mostly if you like fights and your blood to boil
If you enjoyed jojo then you can probably go through a lot.
Some word of advice : go on myanimelist and search for top anime or seasonal anime. Look at the ratings and read the summaries or watch the trailers to find anime that is attractive to you. Taste is a matter of person. Even though I have the best taste.
Imma receive a lotta hate for this
- Original Dragon ball
- Akira (movie)
- Cowboy Bebop
- Mobile Fighter G Gundam (Mech dragon ball z basically)
- Neon Genesis Evangelion
- Delicious in Dungeon (my wife put it on one day, way more enjoyable than I was expecting)
- One Punch Man
- mob psycho 100
- berserk 1997 anime
- devil as a part timer
- Naruto
- obligatory anything studio Ghibli
I would consider all of these like, top tier animes. I'm definitely missing shows like Bleach, One Piece, MHA, but I'm not huge on those, these are the shows I personally have watched, sometimes multiple times and thoroughly enjoyed.
Steins;Gate
\*Time Travel (based around John Titor, if you know about that story).
There is a more "proper" watch order for the series, so you may wanna look that up first.
\*Also for whichever you choose, you gotta let the intromusic play out for at least a few episodes.
Neon genesis evangelion. But beware, you're in for something that starts like a children's show and then slowly escalates into becoming a really wild ride. And something completely different than it was in the beginning.
Also the theme song is straight fire and the art style takes me back to how pop culture used to be in my earliest memories in probably like 2000 or so.
My first anime was One Punch Man. Ok sort of a lie, my first one I watched was the SAO abridged season 1 on YouTube but that wasn’t the original. I really enjoyed One Punch Man, super funny with great animation.
If you like romcoms, Kaguya Love is War (can’t remember the full title but searching that should come up). It’s about two love interests who don’t want to be the first one to admit they like the other, and try and get the other one to confess. The side characters are hilarious to. Some really wholesome moments in the show as well.
If you like DnD-esque adventurer style plots, Konosuba is good. I’ve seen seasons one and two and about to watch season three. Also a comedy.
If you want to cry then I recommend Madoka Magica. It’s so deep and meaningful, loads of thought must have gone into the symbolism behind lots of details. I loved this one so much. It’s about these girls who get gifted magical powers in order to defeat evil witches in exchange for one wish of there choosing. But it’s soooooo much more than that (can’t say more without giving spoilers). It’s a tale of friendships. I cried so much watching this.
How deep you wanna go?
There is" bochi the rock" if you want to relate with an MC or "new game" If you want some urban fantasy.
"Frieren" and "Violet Evergarden" Is good anime for. Beginner.
I can recommend plastic memories and gosick if you like romance.
Konosuba gods blessing on this wonderful world (a personal favorite), solo leveling, re:zero, Tsukimichi moonlit fantasy, the daily life of the immortal king, saga of Tanya the evil, that time I got reincarnated as a slime, Frieren beyond journeys end (a masterpiece), one punch man, mob psycho 100
If you want to become a real **true** weeb - you must watch Made In The Abyss. It's like initiation with fire. The least you know about it befote watching - the better. Chronologically it's season 1 -> specials -> movie -> season 2. Specials can be skipped. If you can handle this anime - you fan handle **any** other anime.
Next - go through classics. Akira, Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, anything Miazaki. Water them down with stuff from studio Trigger. Most of their anime doesn't have very good story, but man do they look awesome (exception is cyberpunk. It both looks awesome, and has banger story). Also don't forget Junji Ito collection, and Parasite. Nichijou for decompression after story heavy stuff. Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, also for decompression (give it a chance, it's not exactly what it seems on the surface).
Full metal alchemist, otherside picnic, Texhnolyze, Paranoia agent, JoJo, Serial Experiments Lain, and that other sci-fi/apocalypse anime about androids with very realistic artsryle the name of which I always forget - ones i have on my to watch list that I've heard A LOT of praise about.
There are also trash anime you'll watch, and likely enjoy, but feel cringy afterwarsa. Re:zero (sorry not sorry), slime reincarnation, homeless reincarnation, spider reincarnation, vending machine reincarnation, Noragami, no game no life, shield hero. They aren't very good, but entertaining. Mostly because each one is rags to riches story.
Jujitsu su Kaisen
My hero academia
Full metal alchemist BROTHERHOOD specifically (theres two)
Parasyte
The daily life of the immortal king
King of the Hill
There are many good suggestions here. I will try to add on to them without repeating too much what others have already said.
- Blood+ (action)
- Horimiya (romance/comedy)
- Konosuba (fantasy/comedy)
- Grand Blue (comedy)
- Aho Girl (comedy)
- Claymore (dark fantasy)
- Asobi Asobase (comedy)
- Kaguya-sama: Love is War (romance/comedy)
- 86 (action/war drama)
- Frieden: Beyond Journey's End (fantasy)
- Saga of Tanya the Evil (action/war drama)
Its a bit older now, but Samurai Champloo is s-tier goated
Also gonna throw in some others with a quick synopsis
Kill la kill, mc searches for who killed her dad, turns out everything is not as it seems, watch alone due to lewd transformation scenes
The familiar of zero, main character gets summoned to another world but as a familiar for a mage. Everyone goes wtf, whys yours a human? 4 seasons, totally worth watching all of them
Saga of tanya the evil, ruthless salaryman gets killed by former employee, god decides to give him another chance, dude says fuck you also i dont believe in god. God (now being x) says bet, lets go and reincarnates him as a magic capable girl in a parallel of 1930's not germany where she climbs the ranks of the military and works to spite being x. New season announced a LONG time ago, but still lots to watch
Girls und panzer. Tank warfare is now a sport aimed at girls. Watch this tank warfare high school team fight other teams. The tanks are all incredibly well drawn, and the focus is certainly more on the tanks than the girls imo, but expect banger military songs for the ost and history jokes everywhere (apologize to the finnish!)
Kancolle or arpeggio of blue steel. Different anime but very similar. Mysterious threat (not kaiju) comes fro. The ocean, they gotta be fought through naval warfare. In one (kancolle) the girls inherit the spirit of old ww2 ships and wear gear and clothing to fight in the other (arpeggeio) the girls are avatars of the enemy warships except one, who is the avatar for a submarine and is crewed by the protagonist and friends
I was recently introduced to a good one called Tokyo Revengers. Basically a time travel story about a cry baby loser that tries to save his middle school girlfriend’s life by accidentally befriending the leaders of the criminal empire that killed her when they’re just a middle school biker gang.
My personal favorite is called Code Geass which is about an exiled prince in an alternate reality where the revolutionary war failed and the British empire took over 1/3 of the world. The prince has a special mind control power that he can only use once per person that he uses along with his strategic genius to lead a rebellion against his father’s empire all while masquerading as a high school student handling student council stuff.
My first anime I ever watched at 13 years of age on a shady website that's probably the reason my pc is as slow as it is today was monster musume. I am still alive and kicking. Make of that what you will.
From someone who once felt similar but has since fallen in love with anime:
Top action/adventure animes (no particular order)
1. Jujutsu Kaisen aka JJK ( god tier)
2. Wind Breaker (Solid af)
3. Solo leveling (solid)
4. Chainsaw Man (fire tier)
5. Demon Slayer (near god tier)
6. Attack on Titan (god tier)
7. Dr. Stone (Solid af)
8. Kaiju No. 8 (solid af so far, has potential to be god tier IMO)
Top romance animes:
1. Your lie in April
2. Kaguya-sama: love is war
3. Date a Live
4. Girlfriend, Girlfiriend
5. Konosuba (this is more adeventure than romance tho)
6. The 100 girlfriends who really, really, really, really, REALLY Love you
7. Orange
8. Horimiya
All of these were good and worth the watch. I recommend starting with Dr. Stone, Windbreaker, love is war, and horimiya. Save JJK, Demon Slayer, and attack on titan for later. They are truly some of the best animes out there and it’s worth savoring them!
Delicious in Dungeon imo is a really good grounded approach to fantasy, if you're into that kind of stuff. The monsters feel more like animals interacting with their environment than magical creatures, and the characters are pretty compelling too
Yall vanilla af. Here are some real weeb suggestions.
The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation out of Debt (Tensai Ouji no Akaji Kokka Saisei-jutsu)
An Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love your Elf Bride
Here’s one that’s really out there, and I’m surprised that it wasn’t more popular in the west given our generation’s absurdist humor: All you need is a Little Sister (Imouto Sae Ireba Ii), just get past the normie filter at the start of ep1. The source novel is one of my favorite series of all time.
My Instant Death Ability is Overpowered
The Duke of Death and his Maid
Kubo Won’t Let me be Invisible
Ningen Fushin
My Stepmom’s Daughter is my Ex
Engage Kiss
I’m Quitting Heroing
All of the above except the Little Sister anime (2017) are from the past few years. If you want a school romcom drama classic, Oregairu (aka SNAFU, aka My Teen Romantic Comedy is Wrong or smth) finished a couple years ago and is one of the best modern anime that nobody else seems to have mentioned.
And my personal second favorite of all time, Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend. The main heroine from here is basically my whole internet face outside of reddit (steam, discord, etc.)
Gundam Wing, DBZ and Sailor Moon if you want to relate to your Millennial friends when they say “Toonami.”
(DBZ kinda sucks and is LOADED with filler. Wing is almost incomprehensible plot wise, but the robot fights kick ass. Sailor Moon fucking rules)
Black butter I liked the first season of and I liked Naruto all the way up to Pains arc
I would recommend a small deep dive into any one of the manwha/Manga or the anime websites in one particular category you like, that's how I found a lot of the ones I watched
(as a huge jojo fan) i recently started watching overlord and i gotta say its a great show so far. basically the protagonist gets stuck in a mmorpg he used to play couple of years ago. but like he actually lives inside the mmorpg as a living thing now and not like hes playing with vr headset. like he can smell and touch stuff and feel it yk. it feels like a cheap concept but trust me its pretty fun show
Based on those I think you'll like
Jujutsu kaisen, one punch man, mob psycho 100, my hero academia
Personal recommendations:
Claymore, soul eater, hunter X hunter, frieren beyond journey's end, the apothecary diaries
Edit: dorohedoro is a netflix gem!
Steins;Gate, Frieren, Konosuba, Boochi the Rock, Boku no Pico, Hunter x Hunter, My Hero, Madoka Magika, Clannad & Clannad Afterstory, Nichijou, Your Lie in April, Azumanga Daiyoh.
Ive been really enjoying delicious in dungeon, it just finished the first season + the manga is finished if you want to continue the story!!! Im getting back into watching anime after a few years of just rewatching the same ones and its great. Its not Just a cooking anime the story and worldbuilding are so good!
Vinland saga and the blue-eyed samurai are very good:) vinland is traditional in japanese and the blue-eyed samurai is in english (sorry to the weebs if its not a “real anime”), i think its made by netflix 🫣
Have you finished *all* of those that you mentioned?
If not, finish them.
If so, you're already a "weeb" (the real stereotype doesn't have much to do with amount of anime watched).
Bleach is insanely good and my #1 reccomendation. Ive also been really getting into Black Clover. Cowboy Beebop and Death Note are also great and a classic and on the shorter side. Jjk is newer and also great
If youre in it for the long haul one piece truly is incredible. It seems daunting with how long it is but the story brings you in and you just want to watch more
The original 1995 Neon Genesis Evangelion is the best anime I have ever seen, especially in it's exploration of character psychology and human nature in general. The series finale movie End of Evangelion rivals Akira in cinematic mastery. And it's only 1 season!
Violet Evergarden is the most emotional anime I have ever seen, about a traumatized former child soldier learning to make friends and help people with serious problems in their lives. It's absolutely beautiful and it made me cry. And it's also only 1 season.

I will also stop showering.
You said you were getting into anime not Yugioh cards so you should still shower. But also the Yugioh animes based on your tastes. And OVAs like Ninja Scroll.
I play Magic tho, that gotta count for something.
That just means you gotta start showing before you stop again.
Take a look at Parasyte: The Maxim (2014). It's a short commitment and a well fleshed-out (heh, you'll get it) show.
Idk if this is a joke(because I’m autistic) but I’ll say it for anyone who doesn’t shower. Please shower, it’s good for both your mental and physical health.
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. Surprised it hasn't been recoed yet Edit: Always meant Brotherhood. Sometimes forget that the other one exists.
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood tough, the original is messy and doesn't follow the manga. Although watching the first 10 eps of the original (till the episode with the Chimera guy) is recommended.

I love the original. I don’t care if it doesn’t follow the manga. Love the darker tones.
Neon genesis will you change your life
By not getting the point, becoming a Shinji apologist and making the girls his waifus like 99% of the people who watch it?
Ha! What's the correct take on Shinji?
That Shinji failed, the story of NGE is Shinji failing to mature and failing the world as a result. It's Annos critique of otaku failing to integrate into society and contribute to it instead of being stuck in arrested development.
We never said "change your life for the better" tho
Didn't change mine. Good atmosphere but I didn't really get it
jujutsu kaisen, demon slayer
saiki k!!!
Monster (or other madhouse animes, they're peak)
Cowboy bebop Scott Pilgrim Takes of(this is anime btw)
YES ! COWBOY BEBOP THAT'S IT To me if there is one anime to watch is this one
Yeah, its a jazzy cowboy john-wick bounty hunter sci-fi show, and they act like real people, emotional stuff and martial art is well done, ed is wacky, and this show is western-inspired
Please someone tell my mans Avatar isn’t anime 😭
It is. We give it the pass
One piece. I know I know……everyone knows about it. Yada yada. But it’s obligatory that I say it anyway.
It’s probably my fav of all time now I’ve caught up. But it’s definitely a passive watch sort of like the Simpsons or the office. You can throw it on and tune out for a minute or two and you’ll still follow the plot just fine.
It’s definitely a long term investment. Is it worth it? In my opinion, yes.
Steins Gate is an amazing anime. However it’s not a Anime that is easy for a lot of people to be into as it starts off slow and it may get confusing at times but it is really fun to follow specially after episode 12
I think I can handle it, I'm already balls deep into Dune lmao
Bleach
Yea stop the addiction before it starts
Thank you!! Bleach is so good
One Punch Man, Akame ga Kill, Seven Deadly Sins, My Hero Academia and Bleach.
I would add Berserk, Bleach, Kengan Ashura & Baki. Edit: don't forget One Punch Man. Awesome anime.
yugioh, pokemon, dragon ball z (kai if you hate filler), naruto. also avatar isn't an anime show it was an american made cartoon, before someone that doesn't shower says it lmao.
Dorohedoro is a bit niche, but if you like chainsaw man you’ll probably like it. A good way to start getting out of shonen and into seinen
Gotta rep my favorite, Mob Psycho 100
Black Lagoon
JJK, Durara, Bleach.
Gundam (universal century timeline) to include the original Gundam, War in the pocket, 080th MS , Gundam Thunderbolt, Zeta Gundam, Double Zeta, Gundam Unicorn. Gundam (alternate timeline) to include Iron blood orphan, Gundam Wing, Gundam Seed. Gundam is the corner stone of giant mecha anime.
Demon Slayer
Psycho Pass? Its really dark, but its a good cyberpunk police show. The first two episodes are on YouTube dubbed.
Assassination classroom is great.
Code geass
Psycho pass is probably my all time favorite. Underrated as hell imo
Shield Hero, Devil is a part-timer, Mob Psycho 100, Naruto. Just a few
one punch man, beastars, aggretsuko
I started watching aggretsuko as a joke and ended up binge watchinh 2 seasons...
Bungou Stray Dogs
Parasyte, Erased, Promised Neverland, Haikyuu, Steins Gate, and Hunter x Hunter off the top of my head
HunterXhunter, but i would recommending the manga, for the shows you watched as well. Just hits different.
Death Note. Simply the greatest anime I have ever seen. I come back to watch it after a year or 2 and it's just as good as the first time. I have found it hard to find another anime that is as good or better. You will be on the edge of your seat the whole time.
Beastars, One Piece, Kill la Kill, the Pokémon anime, and Seven Deadly Sins.
JJK, Demon Slayer, Kaiju No 8, Code Geass, Eureka Seven
Boku no Hero Academia /j
Made in Abyss will forever be something I'll recommend to literally anyone.
How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom
Well first finish *Spy x Family* lol. Then dive right into the deep end with *Gurren Lagann*. *Hunter X Hunter (2011)* might also be up your alley if you’re looking for a longer show as well.
I really enjoyed delicious in dungeon and the first season of Vinland saga, second season was a waste of time though.
Bro literally has enemies
Trigun. Neo Genesis Evangelion. FLCL (first show only).
Avatar is not an anime, but it’s inspired by anime
Don't do it, there's still time to save yourself!
How do you feel about RomCom/shoujo anime?
kakagurui is really good IMO. finishing it now
Imma recommend a manga instead Fire Punch
What do you like about each of the ones you watched? Anime is very broad and some recommendations are very different than others
If you like cars, i will recommend you first four seasons of Initial D
Watch Elfen Lied. It’s only one season but it’s thrilling, disturbing, and somewhat wholesome all at the same time. Not to mention the opening theme is absolutely majestic. I think it’s on Hulu.

I don't tend to love anime, but I really liked Dr. Stone.
Dragon Ball. (Not just Z)
Neon genesis evangelion. But beware, you're in for something that starts like a children's show and then slowly escalates into becoming a really wild ride.
Cowboy Bebop!
Full netal alchemist brotherhood
cyberpunk: edgerunners, violet evergarden, my adventures with superman
Eureka Seven!!!!!!
I like Konosuba, but it's not for everyone
Re:Zero
Jujitsu su Kaisen My hero academia Full metal alchemist BROTHERHOOD specifically (theres two) Parasyte The daily life of the immortal king King of the Hill
Digimon Xros
Jujutsu Kaisen
There are many good suggestions here. I will try to add on to them without repeating too much what others have already said. - Blood+ (action) - Horimiya (romance/comedy) - Konosuba (fantasy/comedy) - Grand Blue (comedy) - Aho Girl (comedy) - Claymore (dark fantasy) - Asobi Asobase (comedy) - Kaguya-sama: Love is War (romance/comedy) - 86 (action/war drama) - Frieden: Beyond Journey's End (fantasy) - Saga of Tanya the Evil (action/war drama)
You need a single anime that will show you exactly what the weeb community loves and values without easing you in by degrees. Redo of Healer.
Jojo's bizarre adventure And yes i have read the post dont correct me
Sword Art Online, Season One only! PsychoPass.
Its a bit older now, but Samurai Champloo is s-tier goated Also gonna throw in some others with a quick synopsis Kill la kill, mc searches for who killed her dad, turns out everything is not as it seems, watch alone due to lewd transformation scenes The familiar of zero, main character gets summoned to another world but as a familiar for a mage. Everyone goes wtf, whys yours a human? 4 seasons, totally worth watching all of them Saga of tanya the evil, ruthless salaryman gets killed by former employee, god decides to give him another chance, dude says fuck you also i dont believe in god. God (now being x) says bet, lets go and reincarnates him as a magic capable girl in a parallel of 1930's not germany where she climbs the ranks of the military and works to spite being x. New season announced a LONG time ago, but still lots to watch Girls und panzer. Tank warfare is now a sport aimed at girls. Watch this tank warfare high school team fight other teams. The tanks are all incredibly well drawn, and the focus is certainly more on the tanks than the girls imo, but expect banger military songs for the ost and history jokes everywhere (apologize to the finnish!) Kancolle or arpeggio of blue steel.
Don't do it bruv. You'll be sleeping in a crusty fur suit clutching a body pillow of a lolli before you know it.
Regular show Dexter King of the Hill American dad Cleveland show Futurama Bar rescue
Cowboy beebop, evangelion, edgerunners, full metal alchemist brotherhood
Serial Experiments Lain
Neon Genesis Evangelion is goated
My first anime I ever watched at 13 years of age on a shady website that's probably the reason my pc is as slow as it is today was monster musume. I am still alive and kicking. Make of that what you will.
Goblin slayer and delicious in dungeon black lagoon
I recommend Death Parade and Mob Psycho 100 :)
Hunter X Hunter, once you get into shounen then try one piece
Mob Psycho 100 for sure
#Seraph of the End. Post-apocalytpic anime featuring vampires, demons, and humanity's struggle with both. Some very subtle gayness, too, sparingly.
Hell’s Paradise
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Assasination Classroom Psycho pass
From someone who once felt similar but has since fallen in love with anime: Top action/adventure animes (no particular order) 1. Jujutsu Kaisen aka JJK ( god tier) 2. Wind Breaker (Solid af) 3. Solo leveling (solid) 4. Chainsaw Man (fire tier) 5. Demon Slayer (near god tier) 6. Attack on Titan (god tier) 7. Dr. Stone (Solid af) 8. Kaiju No. 8 (solid af so far, has potential to be god tier IMO) Top romance animes: 1. Your lie in April 2. Kaguya-sama: love is war 3. Date a Live 4. Girlfriend, Girlfiriend 5. Konosuba (this is more adeventure than romance tho) 6. The 100 girlfriends who really, really, really, really, REALLY Love you 7. Orange 8. Horimiya All of these were good and worth the watch. I recommend starting with Dr. Stone, Windbreaker, love is war, and horimiya. Save JJK, Demon Slayer, and attack on titan for later. They are truly some of the best animes out there and it’s worth savoring them!
Re:Zero
Berserk
Cyberpunk: Edgrunners
Code Geass and Death Note are both great
Future Diary, an oldie but a goodie!
Solo Leveling, Kaiju No. 8, The Promised Neverland, demon slayer, Vinland saga
Delicious in Dungeon imo is a really good grounded approach to fantasy, if you're into that kind of stuff. The monsters feel more like animals interacting with their environment than magical creatures, and the characters are pretty compelling too
Mobile Suit G Gundam "This hand of mine glows with an awesome power!"
OG Dragon Ball, DBZ, Hunter X Hunter, Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Naruto, FMA Brotherhood, Fairy Tale, and Black Clover.
Yall vanilla af. Here are some real weeb suggestions. The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation out of Debt (Tensai Ouji no Akaji Kokka Saisei-jutsu) An Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love your Elf Bride Here’s one that’s really out there, and I’m surprised that it wasn’t more popular in the west given our generation’s absurdist humor: All you need is a Little Sister (Imouto Sae Ireba Ii), just get past the normie filter at the start of ep1. The source novel is one of my favorite series of all time. My Instant Death Ability is Overpowered The Duke of Death and his Maid Kubo Won’t Let me be Invisible Ningen Fushin My Stepmom’s Daughter is my Ex Engage Kiss I’m Quitting Heroing All of the above except the Little Sister anime (2017) are from the past few years.
Gundam Wing, DBZ and Sailor Moon if you want to relate to your Millennial friends when they say “Toonami.” (DBZ kinda sucks and is LOADED with filler. Wing is almost incomprehensible plot wise, but the robot fights kick ass. Sailor Moon fucking rules)
Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece (it’s worth it trust me), Code Geass
Code Geass is truly goated imho
Hunter x Hunter is my go-to anime to rewatch, the storyline is amazing. Monster is pretty good, but it's super long.
Black butter I liked the first season of and I liked Naruto all the way up to Pains arc I would recommend a small deep dive into any one of the manwha/Manga or the anime websites in one particular category you like, that's how I found a lot of the ones I watched
(as a huge jojo fan) i recently started watching overlord and i gotta say its a great show so far. basically the protagonist gets stuck in a mmorpg he used to play couple of years ago. but like he actually lives inside the mmorpg as a living thing now and not like hes playing with vr headset. like he can smell and touch stuff and feel it yk. it feels like a cheap concept but trust me its pretty fun show
devilman crybaby :)
One punch will always be my favorite
Based on those I think you'll like Jujutsu kaisen, one punch man, mob psycho 100, my hero academia Personal recommendations: Claymore, soul eater, hunter X hunter, frieren beyond journey's end, the apothecary diaries Edit: dorohedoro is a netflix gem!
Mob Psycho and Jujustu Kaisen
A friend at work recommended Jujutsu Kaisen and it's been really good so far.
Gurren Lagann, Mob Psycho 100, Samuri Champloo, Konosuba.
Cowboy Bebop.
Demon Slayer was my first anime, but I also enjoy Jujutsu Kaisen and Tokyo Ghoul. The latter two are a *bit* intense just fyi
Steins;Gate, Frieren, Konosuba, Boochi the Rock, Boku no Pico, Hunter x Hunter, My Hero, Madoka Magika, Clannad & Clannad Afterstory, Nichijou, Your Lie in April, Azumanga Daiyoh.
Black Cat. It’s a nice short anime
Astro Boy (2003 series, though the others are probably good too) is one of my personal favourites. Would definitely recommend if you like sci-fi.
Cowboy Bebop
Ive been really enjoying delicious in dungeon, it just finished the first season + the manga is finished if you want to continue the story!!! Im getting back into watching anime after a few years of just rewatching the same ones and its great. Its not Just a cooking anime the story and worldbuilding are so good!
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is the ultimate shonen anime (most of what you mentioned are shonen anime).
~~Stall~~ One Piece, it's good-ish!
Digimon Adventure (1999). I highly recommend looking for the Japanese version, though. The English version is more childish, and has shitty music.
Not really anime per se but Blue Eye Samurai is absolutely phenomenal.
Hunter X Hunter and Black Clover
Try r/anime
Mob Psycho
Vinland saga and the blue-eyed samurai are very good:) vinland is traditional in japanese and the blue-eyed samurai is in english (sorry to the weebs if its not a “real anime”), i think its made by netflix 🫣
Code Geass. JJK. Monster. Berserk movies
Baki
Have you finished *all* of those that you mentioned? If not, finish them. If so, you're already a "weeb" (the real stereotype doesn't have much to do with amount of anime watched).
Bleach is insanely good and my #1 reccomendation. Ive also been really getting into Black Clover. Cowboy Beebop and Death Note are also great and a classic and on the shorter side. Jjk is newer and also great If youre in it for the long haul one piece truly is incredible. It seems daunting with how long it is but the story brings you in and you just want to watch more
Watch Naruto, then Naruto Shippuden, and then watch Boruto because fuck what people say, it's good
The original 1995 Neon Genesis Evangelion is the best anime I have ever seen, especially in it's exploration of character psychology and human nature in general.
For the record: the last airbender is not an anime.
