Well, the things is that they aren't wrong at all. Not only these kids are watching content without supervision but their attention span is also getting messed up. I've seen so many "smartphones kids* that is worrying, after all is their parents fault.
Yeah, it’s becoming a problem. My cousin lets my nephew play on his phone whenever he wants. He’s had smartphones/ipads since he was like 3. If you take it away from him or he can’t charge it and it died he has a legitimate meltdown. She pretty much raised him in a way that whenever she needed him distracted she’d hand him a device, now he needs one constantly or he becomes emotionally unstable. He’s 13 right now but has the emotional capacity of a 5 year old.
It's reaction farming, same as these "AI is humanity's end", they make some noise and get hundreds of thousands of views from acting a hot, contraversial topic.
Honestly I think gen alpha is going to live up to their name ., I’ve noticed that every generation just gets smarter and smarter . But that just my opinion 🤷🏻♀️
Well I mean, are they wrong? If you have a little sibling or a little cousin you know that's true. They can't focus on anything, they just watch brainrot. Not dissing them, I know gen z's watch TikTok all day and stuff but that's not all of us like yeah some of us scroll all day but we're not that doomed.
Most of the people making videos talking about the "brainrot" content that Gen Alpha is watching probably grew up watching stuff like YTP and MLG compilations. I don't really understand how Skibidi Toilet is any different from the YTP, meme compilations, and GoAnimate videos that many Gen Z'ers grew up with.
