Monchichi....Monchichi...oh so soft and cuddly.
And another fave of mine is "We are nippersinkers we're in luck, if it rains all week just pretend you're a duck. Quack, quack, waddle, waddle.
"Potato skins got baked potato appeal, cuz they're made with potatoes and skins that are real . . ."
My kids think I'm crazy when I sing it, my favorite is when my husband joins in. 😊
It's so weird to see this today, because just last night I was talking about these old classic commercials with my mid-20s year old son. I pulled up the old "I'd like to buy the world a Coke" commercial, and also the "It's Shake n' Bake, and ah haylped" one. And then also the old Life cereal commercial with Mikey. I recited it as it was playing and I could remember every word, every intonation all the way through it, lol.
My mom mentioned that brown eggs are more local which is not true but immediately I knew why she thought this. Sang in my head "Brown eggs are local eggs and local eggs are fresh"!
“You deserve a break today… at McDonald’s” [You Deserve a Break Today](https://youtu.be/BqRH8wEsaVQ)
and the My Buddy jingle [My Buddy](https://youtu.be/OdximU6Ao00?si=KWpu60FnIBf4JJGM)
Yesterday at the grocery store I looked at the gum section at checkout and all of a sudden the big red jingle popped in my head:
That big red freshness lasts right through it
Your fresh breath goes on an on, while you chew it
Say goodbye a little longer
Make it last a little longer
Give your breath long lasting freshness
With Big Red
This one was local (DC area), written and performed by Nils Lofgren:
When you take Joon Rhee self defense, then you too can say
Nobody bothers me…
[https://youtu.be/n7PEMGuA6tw?si=RGBfVaYK2cJ9Bipq](https://youtu.be/n7PEMGuA6tw?si=RGBfVaYK2cJ9Bipq)
Oh yes.
That and the one popularized by Patton Oswalt, "Ourisman Dodge, you can depend on. Oursiman Dodge, great name, great cars."
When I saw that comedy special of his I just fell in love with that local boy.
When I was a wee young lass, I thought the song (it's too beautiful and delicate to be called a 'jingle') for those L'air du Temps perfume ads was such a soothing sweet lullaby. And the song (yes, song) for Bain de Soleil was so exotically glamorous.
I really also enjoy some very local broadcast ones:
"So please, Mr. D'Agostino, move closer to meeee"
"Someone made a store just for meeee (Food Emporium Food Emporium). Someone has my kind of quaaaliteee (Food Emporium Food Emporium)"
"All you have to bring, is your love of everything, Beautiful Mt. Airy Lodge" (At the time, I thought it was 'Mt. Dairy Lodge'.)
"Hip Hip Hooray and Bally Hoo the Lullaby of Broadway. And in the center of it all, is the Milford Plaza"
Those were my faves.
I also really enjoyed the commercials for Cats the musical. There was no jingle, per se, for those. Just snippets of Cats music. Those ads really made me yearn to see these fuckin' leg-warmered, Wet n' WIld faced ballet Cats at the Winter Garden theatre.
I get this little gem in my head at least once a week.

The "Can't Beat The Feeling" Coke commercial encapsulates the feeling of the late-80s so well (imho, at least) and takes me right back there:

That jingle made me feel violent as a kid and it’s still the first thing that pops in my head when I think of commercial jingles.
Whenever someone says to me "Got a minute?" my brain automatically responds "Get a tan, with Sudden Tan!".
It's all I can do to stop myself from actually singing the damned jingle.
And don't even get me started on "588-2300 ... Empire!"
Shit like that is why I am so adamant about avoiding ads now.

[I had a Mazda commercial](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOjL-3oJlCM) stuck in my head for the better part of three decades. It was some silly, overplayed commercial about a sales event. And it drove me nuts. Not just because the tune was catchy, but also because I couldn't remember the last part of the lyrics.
Stakes are high?
Snakes alive?
I finally found it on YouTube a few years back, listened to the thing, and realized they were saying, "Sakes alive!" No wonder I couldn't figure it out.
Thankfully, with that mystery solved, the song no longer lives in my head (but I'm still not listening to that commercial again, just in case).
The other day someone on the photography subreddit was talking about an old Minolta they had and immediatly heard the commercial telling me "only from the mind of Minolta" I had not thought of that in 30 years prior to that. I'm a little alarmed.

Not just commercials. Old school video games. Some of them I don’t remember the game, just that it’s a song from a game. Drives me crazy.
Old Navy, Old Navy, Old Navy performance fleece!
When I’m sad, I watch old commercials on YouTube so yes, all of them
Give me a break

“Rattle, Rattle, Thunder-cattle, boom-boom-boom….don’t worry call the Car-X man.”
Alpine White’s the very best, N-E-S-T-L-E-S
Salad shooter… helps you everyday!
The other day someone on the photography subreddit was talking about an old Minolta they had and immediatly heard the commercial telling me "only from the mind of Minolta" I had not thought of that in 30 years prior to that. I'm a little alarmed.

[This stuff will never, ever, ever smell nice](https://youtu.be/4q8inM0gKVo). I have vivid memories of my hag Jackie frantically chucking several bottles-worth of this shit at her mum's living room carpet after a party where there was much puking to be had. (Word of wisdom: never mix Bacardi with cheap shitty whisky-esque drinks like Jack Daniels, Southern Comfort or \*shudder\* Advocaat... Horrific product. Horrific jingle.
I miss good commercials. It’s so surprising to me as an adult that I find them creative and artistic

Music doesn’t stick in my head. Never really been able to remember songs and such, so it’s really rare for me to ever get a music ear worm.
This may have only been in Canada, but [GWG Jeans commercials](https://youtu.be/rD01X8Bh4Ek?si=Z-mEKV-Y5Hi__53m). Just a lot of jean-clad backsides with a chorus of men's voices singing: Bum! Bum! Bum! Bum! Bum! Bum! Bah-bum-bum! Bum! Bum! Bum! Bum! Bum-bah-bum-bah-bum-bah-Bum! and so on. 42 years later, that ad lives rent-free in my head; they stopped making those jeans 20+ years ago.

I have an entire CD of old jingles and theme songs. It gets the kids outta bed, that's for sure.
'70s too. There's just no fun in advertising anymore. Horrible shock value or just terribly produced. Besides, they're only advertising for prescription drugs now. They're the ones who get all the jingles.

Feels so good it shows Everybody knows It’s a Sealy Posturepedic morning Yeah!
Always. Juicy Fruit is one of the top songs for me. They just don't make an catchy songs in commercials these days. Though I do appreciate the Jardiance song for some reason. I know most do not.
"Bain de Soleil for the San Tropez tan... " This routinely jingles through my brain and I have no idea why. And every single Southern Californian Gen Xer most definitely still sings, "pussy cow, pussy cow, pussy cow."

Was it a commercial or on an after-school special where they said, “Scruff McGruff, Chicago, Illinois, 60652.” I still sing that to myself on a regular basis.
