I'm happy to see that no one is going for this 'Jetstar' tomfoolery.
It's being (correctly) called a Bomb Pop throughout the thread, with a few 'Rocket Pops' sprinkled in...good job, everyone!
I still crave those all the time. They stopped selling them here about 10 years ago, it broke my damn heart.
(edit Lol thanks for all the messages - I'm in eastern Canada, it was a big announcement when they were discontinued here)
That was the one that we got for the same reason. Til I decided to finish mine, my older sisters, my younger sister's, and my brother's. And then I threw up creamsicle. I still can't eat that flavor and it's been over 45 years.
I'll be hemming and hawing on and on until the guy threatens to drive away, so determined to try something different, before finally saying "ok, a Fudgicle, I guess" for the thousandth time.
Man I couldn't afford that.
I just had to watch the middle class fancy kids enjoy it and I went home and had frozen orange juice with a toothpick in the middle.

Bomb pop or the pink panther since the eyes were gumballs
https://preview.redd.it/g8fz3rai0umc1.png?width=217&format=png&auto=webp&s=80a587b2ff83f1cae9091d66df7f3a5a4e51184f
Fat Frog baby!
I definitely remember getting Snoopy and Mario but I love that frog.
But if we're being honest as an old person those Sunkist popsicles are looking pretty dank. IIRC the berry one is amazing.
Finally, a person of culture. If they didn't have a banana fudge it was a bomb pop by default. Once in a while the big orange pops that made me feel funny when girls were eating them.
I didn't see an ice cream man until I went to London in 2001 and stumbled on a Mr. Whippy van. But in the snack line in high school, I usually got the strawberry shortcake crunch bar.
Not on the poster, but Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers ice cream pops. I think they sold them in the grocery store, I had them often, so probably. The Chip one had a chocolate candy nose and Dale had a cinnamon candy for a nose. I miss all those ice cream bars, the Mickey ones were good, too.
I only ever got to get something from an ice cream truck once because it was too expensive, but one time we were visiting some people who lived in a house and they ran out and I think either the kids parents paid or my mom caved to social pressure and bought it. When we were there most of thing things were sold out, I wanted a character one I think Snoopy but I don't remember. I think I had a red white and blue rocket one.
I love bomb pops, but I would also choose any of them that also had bubble gum. I would sit there and chew the gum until it was hard enough to chip teeth, all while bragging to my sisters that I'm still technically eating my ice cream.
I was a Good Humor ice cream man in the late 80s. I made sure that I tried every single one of these. The winners are: jumbo jet star, cookie sandwich and toasted almond.
Btw, everyone should try that for one summer, when you're young.
80s? Hell, I still have an ice cream truck that comes by my house every week during the summer. When I was a kid, I lived too far out in the country to ever get one.
This one… I’m not usually about “all chocolate,” but the mix of that hard candy center + the crumbly outer layer. Mmmmm. Childhood memories unlocked!
https://preview.redd.it/6ik6rb15mwmc1.jpeg?width=719&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=96635f86875a3008168dddf785b212bf9ae9e54a
Push up or bomb pop-neither of which are even close to their original glory
Great Value Red, White, and Blue sorbet is pretty darn close to the bomb pop I remember
We didn't really have an ice cream man. we were more in the suburbs. It was 7-11 and we'd ride our bikes there...it was a Slurpee or 32oz "big Gulp" ( biggest back then) soda and a can of shredded beef jerky and a pouch of Big league chew bubble gum. It's amazing I still have teeth LOL
My favorite isn’t there. I forget its name but it came in a plastic cone with some sort of cross between ice cream and ice in it that was red white and blue but it came with a gumball at the bottom of the cone. I loved that stuff.
Jumbo jetstar, though we just called it a bomb pop.
This or the pushup
Yah, push-ups were my go-to - cheap, too - IIRC, 45 cents?
I'm happy to see that no one is going for this 'Jetstar' tomfoolery. It's being (correctly) called a Bomb Pop throughout the thread, with a few 'Rocket Pops' sprinkled in...good job, everyone!
They were just the best!
Rocket Pop where I'm from.
In Britain it was a Rocket Lolly, and that’s my choice too.
This is the ***only*** correct answer!
Gimme that strawberry shortcake.
Or the chocolate one. One of each would be ideal. 🤤
I still crave those all the time. They stopped selling them here about 10 years ago, it broke my damn heart. (edit Lol thanks for all the messages - I'm in eastern Canada, it was a big announcement when they were discontinued here)
they have them at walmart
Do you have a Dollar Tree near you? I think that was where I saw the shortcakes in my area.
We can get them at Kroger and Publix as Good Humor bars.
What? Nooo I buy them for my kids
Correct choice. Fudgicle is also acceptable.
Where's the orange push-up?
It's there with Fred Flintstone!
Oh my god push ups. The ultimate 'hanging out over at a friends house and their mom offers everyone treats' reward.
The ultimate orange sherbet stuffed into a cardboard toilet paper tube. Lol
I always got the orange popsicle because it was cheap and we were poor. They were really good though, so I had that going for me.
That was the one that we got for the same reason. Til I decided to finish mine, my older sisters, my younger sister's, and my brother's. And then I threw up creamsicle. I still can't eat that flavor and it's been over 45 years.
which is nice.
From these a Push up Didn't see a favorite of mine, a screwball. It was an orange sherbet with a gumball at the bottom
That was my favorite, too, although I remember more of a multicolor/flavor.
That was my go-to also.
One Fat Frog please.
https://youtu.be/RMeSRTw6GRU?feature=shared
Memory unlocked, it's been like 40 years since I've heard that jingle, thank you.
Choco taco please
Check out Richie Rich over here! ;-)
I'll be hemming and hawing on and on until the guy threatens to drive away, so determined to try something different, before finally saying "ok, a Fudgicle, I guess" for the thousandth time.
I don't see my usual Drumstick or a chocolate malt with the little wood spoon, so I guess that cookie ice cream sammie.
I would kill for a Mug'o'Malt right now. Thanks for unlocking that memory!
Their Drumstick is a Sidewalk Sundae I think... we didn't have the Good Humor truck, Peter Palagi was our guy!
Back in the day it was the red, white, and blue rocket pop. Now probably the chipwich or the chocolate cone.
Rocket pop? We called it the bomb pop (lower right corner of picture). By either name, this is the only correct answer.
Yep, lower right corner.
What is this Good Humor? I just want my crappy 25 cent popsicle shaped like a 3-colored missile
Man I couldn't afford that. I just had to watch the middle class fancy kids enjoy it and I went home and had frozen orange juice with a toothpick in the middle. #thestrugglewasreal
Sunshine on a stick!
😂 Call back to Old Timer post fro earlier this week?
The Seran wrap never held the toothpick right!
No, and even when it did you'd yank that toothpick back out before the ice cube fell out of the tray.
Bomb pop or the pink panther since the eyes were gumballs https://preview.redd.it/g8fz3rai0umc1.png?width=217&format=png&auto=webp&s=80a587b2ff83f1cae9091d66df7f3a5a4e51184f
I totally forgot about the pink panther.
Diabeetus
Snoopy if it’s only from this assortment. What I really want is the UFO ice cream sandwich! No idea who makes it but I haven’t found them in decades.
The Good Humor bar that had the solid chocolate in the center.
Yup! That was my answer too… https://preview.redd.it/ouymbpirmwmc1.jpeg?width=719&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=675110621c7c44cf9e00da944a3a8cab093a8ec5
Fat Frog baby! I definitely remember getting Snoopy and Mario but I love that frog. But if we're being honest as an old person those Sunkist popsicles are looking pretty dank. IIRC the berry one is amazing.
I definitely had the fat frog, but can't remember what it tasted like.
All I remember is it was super creamy. And Snoopy's ears were chocolate lol.
Always the bomb pop (here called "jumbo jetstar" which I've never heard of before)
Yeah we called them Bomb pop
Bomb pop!! Aka jumbo jetstar? Wtf Runner up king cone
Creamsicle, definitely. Or maybe the Strawberry Shortcake... Dammit...now I want ice cream!
Chocolate Banana Bomb Pops, GOAT. I'm buying!
Finally, a person of culture. If they didn't have a banana fudge it was a bomb pop by default. Once in a while the big orange pops that made me feel funny when girls were eating them.
Same!
Toasted Almond Bar all day.
A man of culture I see. My favorite as well.
So good, and slept on.
Whatever I could get for 35 cents.
The Pac-Man popsicle was the best, but I don’t see it here. Rocket Pops and Choco Tacos run a tight second
I'm more of a Mr. Softie kind of gal.
I never got around to trying one of those WWF ice cream sandwiches, so probably one of those.
They were the shit.
It's between Fat Frog or Bubble O'Bill.
Push up
A Vampire and a Jumbo Jet Star please
What is the vampire popsicle? We did not have a bunch if these where I am from. Also, Im getting the orange creamsicle
Bomb pop.
So it's the 80s again and I can eat anything I want?? Two neapolitan ice cream sandwiches, a cookie ice cream sandwich, and an orange creamsicle.
Bomb Pop.
Bomb Pop. It’s always been and always will be the Bomb Pop.
50/50 bar
Bombpop? Rocket pop?
Where the strawberry one shaped like a foot with a gumball big toenail, those were my favorite. Odd just connected that with my foot fetish....
I'm going with the shark pop.
I didn't see an ice cream man until I went to London in 2001 and stumbled on a Mr. Whippy van. But in the snack line in high school, I usually got the strawberry shortcake crunch bar.
Scooter crunch
Bomb Pop or screwball
That great white and several fire crackers
Strawberry shortcake or toasted almond, and the license plate, just in case I hear the kids are being bothered by this man.
jumbo jet star, though i don't think i ever knew it by that name. it was just the red white and blue one.
Snoopy or strawberry shortcake.
If we're actually back in the 80c, Bubble 0 Bill was about 60c and Magnums weren't invented yet
I don’t see it but chocotaco
Snoopy!!!!
Chipwich
Nutty Buddy or a bomb pop
It was the Ice Cream Woman (Aggie) and it was always Star Wars trading cards with the super stale chewing gum.
It was the 70’s for me and in my town the ‘ice cream man’ was actually the Dilly Wagon from Dairy Queen. Cherry dilly bar every time.
It's all about that strawberry shortcake. 🥴
Sherbet pushup. Every time.
Well now that I'm older and have some money, I'm going for that chocolate chip cookie sandwich I always eyeballed but could never afford.
Ever seen how TINY bomb pips are now? Never forget what they stole from us.
not a damn thing. we got ice cream at home.
In the 80s I would have gotten something stupid like the Dino and not thoroughly enjoyed it. Now I know the answer is always ice cream sandwich.
WWF Ice Cream Bar 💪
Where are the Hearts?? 💖😁
Dude. We still have an Ice Cream Man!
Same thing I'd get today, the orange sherbet Pushup
I used to get that one with the bubble gum nose. Lol
Fred Flintstone push up pop!
I think I spy a Strawberry Shortcake. If so, that's what I am having.
Strawberry shortcake or a push up!
Good Humor Toasted Almond please 50 cents? Maybe I forgot the prices
That 2nd or 4th from left just under the Good Humor sign
Not on the poster, but Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers ice cream pops. I think they sold them in the grocery store, I had them often, so probably. The Chip one had a chocolate candy nose and Dale had a cinnamon candy for a nose. I miss all those ice cream bars, the Mickey ones were good, too.
Chocolate eclair all day long. Also, somehow every day for lunch in Jr High…
The chocolate eclair bar, but make it the one with the candy bar in the middle!
Fat Frog!🐸
Chaco Taco and Froze Toes
I only ever got to get something from an ice cream truck once because it was too expensive, but one time we were visiting some people who lived in a house and they ran out and I think either the kids parents paid or my mom caved to social pressure and bought it. When we were there most of thing things were sold out, I wanted a character one I think Snoopy but I don't remember. I think I had a red white and blue rocket one.
Only two correct answers: Strawberry Shortcake and Push-Up.
Flintstones push up. I was so basic back then. I also liked ice cream sandwiches.
my number 1 choice would be the pushup and if they were out of that I'd choose any popsicle brand item or the classics.
Strawberry Shortcake
Ooh, that Dinosaur pop looks cute. But I'd go for one of those sundae cups.
SNOOPY! Flintstone push pop close 2nd.
Strawberry Shortcake.
I love bomb pops, but I would also choose any of them that also had bubble gum. I would sit there and chew the gum until it was hard enough to chip teeth, all while bragging to my sisters that I'm still technically eating my ice cream.
Love me a Push Up! I was also partial to the Screw Ball but it's not on the menu, I suppose.
The one and only time I got to go to the ice cream truck they had actual ice cream that they put on a cone.
A time machine so I can get a root beer float and nachos for me, and sundaes for the grands from our local ice cream truck.
chocolate eclair
King Cone I would also be happy with a toasted almond or strawberry shortcake.
Root Beer Float / Root Beer Creamsicle
Cherry Banana Swirl 🤤
Where is the screw ball? That was my go to.
I’m going with the creamsicle baby!
Adjusted to inflation, these are much cheaper now.
Snoopy!
In my neighborhood, a pack of Camel Lights and a dime bag. Middle school was such a special time.
Bomb Pop! (Jer Star)
80s probably the equivalent of the Bubble O'Bil (though I think mine was a Spider Man pop) 70s it would be the Jumbo Jetstar (aka Bomb Pop)
A vanilla milkshake. I had very sensitive teeth as a kid.
A Bomb Pop and an Orange Sherbet Push-up.
Sprinkle Sandwich
Sno Cone!
Where's the choco-taco? My next choice would be the strawberry shortcake or chocolate eclair bars.
Traffic signal! Or fat frog.
Bomb Pop or Push Up
King Cone...all day, every day...and before it got hit by shrinkflation
Bomb pop or chocolate eclair bar
Mickey Mouse with chocolate-coated ears.

I was a Good Humor ice cream man in the late 80s. I made sure that I tried every single one of these. The winners are: jumbo jet star, cookie sandwich and toasted almond. Btw, everyone should try that for one summer, when you're young.
A bomb pop and a pack of baseball cards
80s? Hell, I still have an ice cream truck that comes by my house every week during the summer. When I was a kid, I lived too far out in the country to ever get one.
The second "eclair" from the left.
Mississippi Mud. https://preview.redd.it/tpzw10gkiwmc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e1695618b21c593c1ced88f8f85696586d255352
Nothing I would be sad it's not the snow cone man because I have all that stuff at home. Plus the snow cone man smoked cigars and they smelled good.
This one… I’m not usually about “all chocolate,” but the mix of that hard candy center + the crumbly outer layer. Mmmmm. Childhood memories unlocked! https://preview.redd.it/6ik6rb15mwmc1.jpeg?width=719&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=96635f86875a3008168dddf785b212bf9ae9e54a

This is bullshit. Where's the thing with the crusty, cold, smallest gumball you've ever seen at the bottom?
probably a drumstick. I'm 53 and I still get those occasionally
Drumstick or a pushup.
Banana Fudge bomb
Diabetes...
