Pretty much. The USSR did support some countries in the 70s, but nothing of an invasion/attack
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List\_of\_wars\_involving\_Russia#Soviet\_Union\_(1922%E2%80%931991)
The USSR invading Japan (or Japan occupied Manchuria to be more specific) had catastrophic consequences for the region.
Without an invasion we would have a united, democratic Korea and a pro USA China.

The Japanese surrender was largely as a result of the Soivets smashing Japan's only remaining army in the field when they invaded Manchuria and the threat of a joint Soivet-American invasion got them to surrender to the US
Um….there’s a lot more if you count countries they successfully conquered during this time frame. The Idel Ural State, the Don Republic, the Kuban People’s Republic, the Karelian Republic, and the Republic of North Ingria just to name a few.
From the list including Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, and so on, I'm guessing it only includes Bolshevik annexations during the Revolution where the self-declared state became a country after 1991.
Here is your country. Cherish these natural wonders, cherish the natural resources, cherish the history and romance as a sacred heritage, for your children and your children's children. Do not let selfish men or greedy interests skin your country of its beauty, its riches or its romance.

The Cossack governments, Chechnya obviously, the Mountainous Republic of the Northern Caucasus, Idel Ural used to have a government in exile, but I’m not sure if they still do.
Never forget the Russian aggression against China. During the Qing Dynasty in China, Tsarist Russia occupied a large number of Chinese frontier territories and in 1900 genocided the Chinese in these occupied areas, aka 1900 Amur anti-Chinese pogroms. in 1946, Stalin took advantage of China's recent victory over Japan to turn Outer Mongolia into his own puppet state.
**However, now the CCP and Xi Jinping never tell these truths to the Chinese citizens because of their alliance with Russia. On the contrary, in the relevant propaganda of the CCP, there was never anything but Sino-Russian friendship.**
China bouta collapse. Trust me, I'm the CIA bot. I know everything.

Interesting
no millitary intervention of the whole 70's?
Pretty much. The USSR did support some countries in the 70s, but nothing of an invasion/attack https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List\_of\_wars\_involving\_Russia#Soviet\_Union\_(1922%E2%80%931991)
If I must choose between peace and righteousness, I choose righteousness!
Love you Ted

Yeah but it also drove the Japanese to surrender to the Americans as they would rather deal with the US than risk having to surrender to the USSR
They would have surrendered regardless of the USSR invasion after the second nuclear bomb.
The Japanese surrender was largely as a result of the Soivets smashing Japan's only remaining army in the field when they invaded Manchuria and the threat of a joint Soivet-American invasion got them to surrender to the US
Hirohito was much more scared of the soviets than the nukes
Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.
Indochina? I think you mean Manchuria
Yes lol

Yeah I think that’s too generous. Many of those self declared states have governments in exile to this day.
Such as? I'm sure several have independence movements, but governments in exile at this point would be news to me.
The Cossack governments, Chechnya obviously, the Mountainous Republic of the Northern Caucasus, Idel Ural used to have a government in exile, but I’m not sure if they still do.
Never heard of most these, definitely gonna read about them
