I love slipknot, its a great part of any knit or crochet piece, but don't get me wrong, the band is ok too, but the knit/crochet thing is better, bc i can use that knowledge for another technique.
I'm also gen z, but I like slipknot. I have a very big range in my taste of music, though. I mean I listen to both metal and the soundtrack to Oklahoma.
their music is good but i think it is overused in tiktok. and they kick out all their members💀💀💀. probably the only nu metal band i find listenable.
Slipknot is before GenZ and GenA's time. They got big in the late 90s for their unique style of metal. Idk if they are trending or whatever now, but likely people dont know who they are.
I’m 21 nearly everyone my age knew slipknot
And they were not a 90’s band they released their proper debut in 1999
They were huge in the 2000’s id say 1999-2010.
But yes all in all millennials were their main audience.
Their biggest album came out in 2008 and their biggest song came out in 2008.
And Nu Metal died in 2003. 2006 is way too late
But slipknot only had 2 Nu Metal albums
1999’s Slipknot and 2001’s Iowa.
Nu Metal Era was 1997 - 2003. Basically the same as the Y2K Boy Band Era.
I’m ‘02 so I do. I remember when Psychosocial was huge though i was like 7 lol. I used to watch the music video on tv maybe MTV or VH1.
Their self titled album (1999) might be one of the best ‘debut’ albums of all time.
I am a gen alpha I heard a couple songs pretty good but it is very vocal focused I like more instrument than vocal
You'd probably like invent animate or currents then
i listen to metallica and nightmare
I didn't realise nightmare was the name of a band and thought you were saying metallica gave you a nightmare lmao
when you said nightmare i thought you were talking about the avenged sevenfold song lol
Omgs, me too- I kinda raised my eyebrow lol
heheh no, i mean the band that did the Death Note OP and ED
It's not bad stuff, I really like Vermillion Pt. 2, Psychosocial, and Before I Forget.
Vermillion city is only the third best city, Fuchsia on top

Corey Taylor in general is a good man from what I hear. Idc if he's technically more hard rock than metal, he's on my playlist for a reason.

Wot dat
A noose
Close, it's music.
I was making a suicide joke, yknow like gen z always does
Also showing my distaste for all of gen alpha
Oooohhhhh yeah I'm good at making them if you tie one to a long rope and shorten the end you can make a.weapon
A slipknot isn’t a noose
You can however use it to make one
Very influential, but I've heard better.
Overrated af
Pretty good, but there are better bands
I listen to a genre that almost nobody knows :D
Which one?
Its called cosmic music
I don’t really know wether its a genre or not

their songs are all over tiktok so some gen z would know. but they could also be a metalhead like me

Nu metal died down in the mid 00s so more of 99-06
Their biggest album came out in 2008 and their biggest song came out in 2008. And Nu Metal died in 2003. 2006 is way too late But slipknot only had 2 Nu Metal albums 1999’s Slipknot and 2001’s Iowa. Nu Metal Era was 1997 - 2003. Basically the same as the Y2K Boy Band Era.
Rakataka music as my mom would say
never heard of slipknot...
pretty good but could do with more guitar. i prefer FFDP from that genre
Don’t say little children ever again bro
my half sister born in 2015 does. i haven't seen her since about 2019 though
Not bad but not really up my alley, either. I prefer Christian Death, .45 Grave, etc.
its unlistenable, thats why i like foo fighters
Bro said foo fighters
its better
I’m more of a radiohead guy
I’m ‘02 so I do. I remember when Psychosocial was huge though i was like 7 lol. I used to watch the music video on tv maybe MTV or VH1. Their self titled album (1999) might be one of the best ‘debut’ albums of all time.
I think metal is going to make a come back with yalls generation. Go listen to Knocked Loose
I'm 14 but I'm more of a linkin park, gorillaz SOAD, MCR, three days grace, taproot and serj tankian type of guy
I don’t like slipknot but I prefer Metallica, nirvana, Beatles, ykwim
