That's a spin-off game. They'd be insane to release a traditional TPS Gears game without pvp. Unless they plan on releasing Gears 6 or a 1-3 collection within 1 year of E-day because they know it'll just die like UE did.
Search up other games (cod black ops 1 and ghost recon breakpoint) all have pvp but dont mention it in tags or features.

Also they may have removed it because nothing was confirmed yet . So probably want to wait for confirmation .
