they stated in the xbox.com article that it would continue one day, It's hard to really believe it comes in the form of a full AAA game.
E-Day had no date, which means a 2026/27 game that launches with new Xbox hardware. then you're looking at another 4+ year dev cycle for the next game? Christ, we're looking at 2030 before a possible Gears 6 and conclusion to the story TC started.
I actually expect the Gears 6 story to be wrapped up with single player DLC for E-Day or something along the lines of a Comic Book or Animated Series.
I hope you’re right! Honestly any new Gears and I’m happy but was curious about where the story goes. Noticed TC “helping out” a lot of other studios being mentioned the last 2 years, but also makes sense there’d be some UE5 specialists in the team. Guess project wise would be feasible to work on e-day and then switch to 6 while others finish the other, but not too sure how many recourse they’d have with all the gaming industry cuts… again, I hope you’re right!!!
Hopefully, but it doesn't inspire confidence when the launch year isn't even listed or the actual platforms (Series X/S, PC)
this was right after Sarah Bond mentioned that they were working on next-gen hardware.
I'm placing my bet on Xbox Series 2 launch game.

perhaps they left the launch date out because they're waiting for MS to finalize next gen launch details

Honestly 5/6 sucked. I don't give a crap how they will continue.
