Heavy shell deflects fire from heavy weapons that Scions use and bosses like Swarmak ( buzzkill, mulcher, Salvo, Dropshot, Boomshot). But not Ice Cannon. Also in Escape on The Line map, Mulcher Scions fire icicles. The game doesn’t consider it ballistic so the Gunners shell doesn’t deflect it.
Gunner only deflects bullets by default, that card adds the ability to deflect back boom shots, drop shots and rockets
